  1. The video by Leo on Andrew Tate was okay, it got the job done for me but I think it could've been a lot better. Even though Leo said the video wasn't meant to tear Tate down, he ended up trashing him throughout the whole thing. Some of the things he said weren't even accurate which made his arguments not as strong. If he had talked about the issues without being so biased and not calling Tate names like "scumbag", I think a lot more people would have believed what he had to say. The video by Leo on Andrew Tate had some valuable points and changed my perspective, but it may not have been successful in convincing Tate's fans as it seemed like a combination of education and slandering Tate. To improve the effectiveness of the video, I think Leo should have: Discussed the dangers of Andrew Tate's mindset without using personal attacks, such as calling him a "scumbag". The example of Tate's own statements about pimping out his girlfriend was a powerful point, but he should have avoided all other arguments against Tate as they are more controversial and unclear. When trying to get a point across to Tate's fans, it's crucial to make sure you have your facts straight and that there are no weak points in your accusations against Tate, because they tend to look for ways to dismiss your entire message if you give them an opening. Included more detail on the advice he provided for young people, specifically about traps and critical thinking, which would have helped viewers understand and apply the advice better. I feel like he should have summarized the Advice for young people video. Should have kept the video shorter, no more than an hour and a half, to keep the audience engaged and prevent information overload. No teenager Tate fan will watch a three hour video. This is my constructive criticism for @Leo Gura , I am seriously asking you to look at what I am saying here.
  2. Bro I thought that as-well but let me ask you this, would you be able in ANY circumstance, to ask your girlfriend (who you respect) to jerk off in front of a camera to men online? Then proceed to trick your girlfriend who works for you by asking her to sign fake tax forms so you can take more money than you initially promised. Like bro, would you do this if you actually respected her. There's a lot of things we simply don't know about Tate, but what I wrote above is what he self admittedly does. This shows his character. This shows he doesn't give a fuck about the woman working under him. That is signs of being a sociopath.
  3. Alright. But Leo, if you were to attempt helping a psychopath realize truth (forget Tate, I'm asking in General), how would you do this?
  4. It is weird because in some sense narcissists have a competitive advantage as they are more self confidence, but the same narcissism hinders their growth significantly in areas like spirituality. I wasn't aware about Otto Kernberg and Frank Yeomans, I'll look into it
  5. @Leo Gura Why do Indian spiritual leaders repeatedly emphasize the importance of being vegetarian? It's interesting because Sadhguru has stated that if he had to choose a type of meat, it would be fish. Why do think they have those opinions. I mean they pretty much include vegetarianism as necessary when following spiritual path. Like bruh.
  6. I was browsing you-tube and found a video about Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), and how first world countries in the west such as USA, UK and even the European Union are planning to implement largescale digital currency. For context, Central bank digital currency (CBDC) is a digital form of money that is issued and backed by a central bank, such as the Federal Reserve in the United States or the Bank of England in the United Kingdom. It can be thought of as an electronic version of traditional fiat currency, such as paper bills or coins. The implementation of centralized digital currency can be extremely problematic: Governments or central banks could use CBDC to track and monitor people's financial transactions in a way that's not possible with traditional fiat currency. This could be used for various purposes, such as tax enforcement or even social control. Companies or organizations could potentially use CBDC to benefit from access to data about people's financial transactions. For example, a company that issues a CBDC might be able to sell this data to third parties, such as advertisers or research firms. CBDC could potentially be used to manipulate the economy or financial markets in ways that benefit certain companies or organizations. For example, a central bank might use CBDC to stimulate demand for certain goods or services, which could then benefit the companies that produce those goods or services. This control that governments gain as a result of using CBDC is concerning to me as it mimics the control the CCP have on the Chinese people. With this added control, western governments could in theory implement a credit score system which is absolutely insane to me. I mean this is literally communism. We are entering an age of financial slavery. What is your perspective on the potential outcomes of using CBDC? Do you believe it could potentially lead to negative or unsettling consequences in the future?
  7. @Sucuk Ekmek In reality, we have very little true ownership, as the government has the power to seize our possessions at any time. That said, this digital currency will just make it easier for the government to do so.
  8. Just realized I posted in the wrong discussion, moderators please move it to personal development. Thank you
  9. As I am seeking to become the best at anything I choose to do, I am seeking resources and advice that can help me achieve my full potential and optimal performance in a sustainable manner. Despite putting in a significant amount of effort, I have found myself underperforming in various endeavors, which has been disheartening as others seem to achieve more with less work. I am therefore interested in identifying any strategies or techniques that I may be overlooking which could enhance my results. As I am currently experiencing a situation that I believe others may have encountered before, I am seeking advice and recommendations from this community. Any tips or strategies that you could share with me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.
  10. Last month ChatGPT by OpenAI launched. Within four days it crossed a million users. Context: ChatGPT is a powerful AI tool designed to function similarly to the human brain, with the exception that it has pretty much unlimited memory and ridiculously high level of pattern recognition. This tool can literally create extremely high level content for you in anything, write complex code, manipulate data and much more. It is distinct from other tools now available on the market since it is significantly more complex. For instance, Jasper is another AI tool that can assist you with all of the aforementioned tasks, but it cannot come close to what ChatGPT can do. Jordan peterson asked ChatGPT to write a additional chapter for his book, which it did in three seconds and at a high level. At this rate AI will soon be able to conduct it's own experiments and interact with the world, which will truly be revolutionary (wonder what that would lead to). As of now however it is already an expert at content creation, and can create better work (code, art, and philosophical investigation) than most humans, especially for the time it takes. Concern: As aforementioned, AI is already an expert in philosophy and the humanities. AI Art has already significantly influenced many artists in the world, as they find it increasingly hard to compete and make a living of their art. Will this happen to philosophers as well? If an AI machine can come to nuanced philosophical conclusions within seconds by analyzing MILLIONS of sources , then how would a philosopher ever produce any work ever worth reading? How will Leo's content alter if someday AI can produce content that is more balanced and nuanced than actualized.org? I think AI can definitely infiltrate the self help industry, even spirituality and science in the future. Question: What are the possible way's AI will impact the development of actualized.org and philosophy worldwide?
  11. I thought about this happening aswell. But the thing is I'm not sure how it will turn out in practice. Will AI develop it's own agenda? Isn't there going serve the elites of the world in some way? There is also the possibility where AI will help only more fortunate humans while leaving people that cannot afford AI behind. This same concern is for bio- technology
  12. Yea I agree. I think now we have to compile ways where we can adapt to AI
  13. You know exactly what I mean. Meaning it can use data provided effectively for the given task, could've worded things a bit better I agree, all humans might be a stretch. But it sure can do more than most humans, and it terms of humanities it is literally college professor level because of the amount of data in has. No such thing. What analogy is that? I'm not forgetting. AI gets data and connects them to make something new. That's exactly what humans do aswell in many cases. In the future AI will also be able to create it's own data meaning it can create completely never seen before new ideas and theories so yea we agree on that. idk where your going with all this consciousness talk I mean yea that is what I am leading to, except I kinda want to know how it will effect philosophy because I feel that humanities is something that AI is getting a grasp on very quickly at the moment
  14. ChatGPT uses already existing sources, so yes you are right about how AI processes data in the current stage. This will change though. AI will be able to become the experimenter and gather it's own data. In the future AI will most defenitly be able to do the same job professionals do but faster, it is only a matter of time. There is plenty of material online going into what big tech companies are working on, and it is pretty scary. Artists can leverage AI to improve their artwork, I know where your coming from. This said, current AI art has already gotten to the point where consumer believe it is a good enough final product. This means that it becomes more of a competitor than a tool.
  15. @Nilsi I mean look, if you submit an essay to a plagiarism checker, there would be no plagiarism. There are these tools to see if you used chatGPT, it works ok but if you changed few words from the text it becomes original. bro you can definitely use chatgpt to create content and noone gonna say shit because it is virtually impossible to know.
  16. Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows any solid way to improve spatial awareness. Years ago human's were conditioned to be extremely aware of their surroundings as it was necessary to avoid predators and survive. I want to increase my spatial awareness, is there any way I should do it. People say meditation helps increasing focus and awareness, but now I've come to realize that different mediation techniques are good for different things. I'm trying to develop the ability to notice everything that is going on around me, as unawareness has cost me in life thus far. So... Any books, or ways in which I can improve my awareness? Are there any specific mediation techniques I can use?
  17. sure Competition against yourself is very important. Competition against others is also important in the social context for resources, however I do acknowledge that although competing with others can push you, competing with others can also limit you in a way. So yea I agree. good lad
  18. The prevalent issue of competition. In our culture, it is embraced. School is competition, Career is competition...Survival is competition. I find that Spiritual masters fail to address the current implication of competition in our "orange" world and instead brush it off as low consciousness, ego mind activity. Instead many spiritual masters suggest using your time expressing yourself through "truth", through "love". I, and many people on this forum support this message. However, I soon realized that I was taking in this wisdom like dogma, and that fundamentally there is some gap in my understanding that doesn't allow me to leave this stage "orange" train of thought. Additionally, I realized this pattern in other people on this forum. Sure you can appreciate wisdom from great guru's and spiritual teachers, but you still massively compete in the social matrix everyday. You still have an idea of how you are valued in society or your group. I remember seeing several posts in a span of a few months where people complained about feeling humiliated because they were viewed worse than others. This gap in understanding is clearly not exclusive to me. The fundamental problem that I and multiple other people have, is that I can't imagine how winning could make your life worse. I can't imagine how being on top of the social hierarchy is not a good thing. The better you are at competing, the more resources society gives you because society rewards winners and results makers. The more resources you have the overall more possibilities you have to explore life. The more power you have, the more you can use this power for good. I don't understand how competition is petty bullshit, when your required to compete in order to survive. Another post I read on the forum is how AI might jeopardize the user's art career. The gist of it was that artists couldn't compete with AI art any longer, meaning they can't profit from their art. Even @Leo Gura suggested to still continue making art just for the sake of it. But how is this good advice? If you can't even make a living, I don't think exploring life will be any of your concern. I don't want to act as if I transcended "competition" "social hierarchy" when I haven't. So basically it comes down to two questions 1. How does one transcend competition and social hierarchy without sacrificing one's survival? 2. What is the healthiest view on competition as a whole? I've thought about this a whole lot, so I will rebuttal arguments which I feel have gaps in them.
  19. I agree. I think becoming too involved with it could be problematic, however ignoring social hierarchy all together is also problematic.
  20. Yes. However, it is apparent to me that whether you consider yourself spiritual or not, you virtually have to partake in the rat race if you want to live in modern society. On your note on problems when your successful. I think that there are ways to compete, and in order to compete effectively you must be able to manage yourself efficiently. I remember when I was younger that although I used to be competitive, I also was too hard on myself and that actually stopped me from being competence. Although I am not perfect yet, I think I have a healthier view on competition and understand that in order to succeed one must not take things too personally. Yes, exactly, but you can use your logic for absolutely everything. You can take a bunch of psychedelics learn a lot about reality but then what? Also, I don't simply mean travel and live a life full of degeneracy. If you have 500 million in your bank, a phone full of connections and good health, you can aim to solve many problems that the planet faces today. You have freedom to revolutionize the education system, combat illness in third world countries. You can do so much more than if you are in your dead end job. If you transcend your "ego" (the little "i"), there's a possibility that you will see that the you in your life was never truly there. Therefore, you can attain success in the social hierarchy in a manner that is playful to you, genuine and you don't take it so personal (because YOU are a fiction) It's essentially a game and you know you will be "alright", no mental anxiety. However, there is also a possibility if you "wake up" that you could do away with the whole success thing and become like a farmer or a surfer or a monk or something. Something simple. Can you live with that possibility? Would being a 'nobody' to your friends and family and society as a whole, scare you? You bring up a pretty important subject, in my opinion. While letting rid of your ego may enable you to live a happier life, you will likely stop caring as much about success as you once did. Transcending your ego however is not an easy task, and quiet frankly I don't understand how it works yet.
  21. I think this is great. You should do what you want to do. I just wanted to understand why people have an issue with it considering it is such a core part of our survival in this era. I'll be blunt and admit that yes I want to be the best at my field because in my view, it don't seem to have many drawbacks. It is a core part of survival and being good in competition does award you in many ways. Thanks for sharing
  22. There's a book called Mastery by Robert Greene. He touches on this. He claims that there are two ways to become a master. Either compete in an already existing field, or create a completely new field. He gives many examples and isn't biased towards either. I think having a unique value is great however I think if you inspire to get into a field where you will have to compete like a NBA basketball player, then you should still work towards your goal. I don't think it's wrong to compete whatsoever.
