  1. Is this - see your visual field as one solid block. Not comprised of components. Defocus your gaze if it helps. That's it.
  2. This is all true and I agree, enlightenment is a mountain range and not a single peak. Sometimes all we have to do is pause and think about something a little more and then we can phrase it a lot better.
  3. So there's this girl I like, and I made eye contact with her in the hallway for like 5 seconds and she gasped when we got close - I liked some of her Instagram stories after that, and she actually deleted one of them the moment after I liked it. She is friends with my ex, and I liked one of her stories the other day, she went private and then the gasp girl/her friend deleted her account, then my ex deleted her account the day after. I can't help but feel like they both like me right now but maybe are conflicted. After I first liked the friend's story after the eye contact, she posted a story where she was at a concert with my ex. If my story liking was a problem, they would've just blocked me. That's way more simple than an account deletion, which affects thousands of their follows - you don't do that to distance yourself from someone. You block them if they're a problem or just make your account private. If there's a deep emotional conflict between me/friend/ex this is much more like what you would expect. I know the default answer is to say I'm reading too deep, but I really feel like it's all connected. Let's say one of her friends asks "why did you delete your account?" You really think it's normal and rational for her to say "oh, this one guy was liking a lot of my stories so I wanted to create some distance"? It really doesn't seem to fit that at all. My endgame here is definitely with the friend, my overall read is that there are some conflicted feelings, although it's possible the account deletion was a positive signal to me. Maybe I'm connecting too many dots and it's actually a way to say "back off, I need space". It's just something about her deleting her entire account instead of just blocking me makes me feel like it could be positive. Thoughts?
  4. I would say you assume a lot about how other people's minds work.
  5. Me. I think Leo's videos have influenced and guided me a lot but when you really get it you truly know it. It feels like a 1,000 or 1,000,000 level of certainly at times. It's all a dream. And yes, God's dream.
  6. Think about this - which is more profound - getting to date every woman/man on earth (you can presume by way of reincarnation) or getting to BE every man/woman/person that has ever existed on earth. The latter is a far bigger, more epic picture. Regardless of whether these specifics of actually true, the premise should point you to how absolute love works and how relative love works - do you don't conflate the two or get so caught up in relative love/infatuation that you lose the distance needed to truly appreciate the universe. Absolute love is much more profound, infinitely more profound than ordinary love, but yes, ordinary love is still amazing and completely integrated into absolute love. Hope this gets the contemplative gears turning.
  7. If infinite reincarnation is really true, there should be an infinite number of hell realms. My question is - would you be able to choose which realm you exist in as God, or are you simply cycling through all of infinity ad nauseum? If God has to experience everything that exists and there are infinite realms, most of which being inconvenience to a human mind, it should have to go through actual hell, whatever that looks like. My thoughts are that you could choose an "infinite" number of non-hell dreams since you are the author of reality and you can do whatever you want. I guess this is a question of whether God reincarnates through every possible variation of infinity or if it's just what God wants for an infinite time span. Maybe hell would only exist if God truly wanted to experience it.
  8. For me it's associating any sound with words in my head - not necessarily hearing voices independent of my own "thinker" speaking independent thoughts to own to me. I've felt I've always had insight into myself and mind - enough to strongly consider these voices aren't real many times - so I don't think I can be classified as classic psychosis. I do smoke weed and cigarettes, but I believe they are only catalysts for underlying trauma of loss in my near family recently, not underlying causes. All of these "big mental health" disclaimers aside let's get to the deep part. If reality is subjective and constructed from mind, there is nothing stopping me from building my own self constructed prison of voices that seem to be real and violate reality. This must be a curse or something my higher self is inducing upon myself to induce rapid growth. Or else it would not be possible.. thoughts? Any similar experiences? Differing experiences?
  9. Try just listening. All the time. Listening puts you in a higher spiritual plane and keeps you grounded. Also, Yoga Nidra is goated for body awareness and this is the best video I've found. When I do this I usually lose the sensation of having a body.
  10. I say yes, all signs point to yes. It is the most simple and elegant solution, as explaining a finite universe is much more difficult. Scientific discoveries will only further point to this over time. For example, the discovery of the universe being curved to such a degree that it is basically flat, which easily lends to a spatially infinite universe (like a minecraft superflat infinite world. If you have a curved universe you will end up in the same spot if you travel long enough in a straight line.) I propose that when the big bang happened the universe became infinite immediately and what we know of as the expansion of space is actually just a "render" that can go faster than light.
  11. Pure mind occurs before location. This is just speaking at a relative level for intellectual curiosity.
  12. Based as usual. To me it seems like reality can have the illusion of appearing in 3d while simultaneously being in 2d - since you have depth perception but on an absolute level there's actually nothing behind the objects you see or no ground, it's like a painting you can choose to step inside of.
  13. Good comment. I'll pose a countering idea - in your oil example, if space is the oil, then what's the water? In other words, shouldn't space be expanding into something? It's hard to imagine a ball or box with an inside only.
  14. I got kbbq earlier with my fiance and while the meat was cooking in front of us I kept singing the Gollum song from Lord of the rings in my head "Our only wish, to catch a fish, so juicy sweet!" This was not on my mind at all at the time, but afterwards we went ring shopping because we recently got engaged. You can read this as a synchronicity, God using my thoughts to operate on multiple levels, or just a very wide subconscious field that subtlety manifested itself. Either way I just thought this was really funny
  15. I realized after I wrote this that arbitrariness is considered one the main ideas of gender, so yeah I would consider that point correct. I think however, that if you completely ignore your birth given sex and just say "chromosomes and genitalia are arbitrary" you are denying some very basic facts about biology. There are studies showing men and women naturally have different personalities, and of course the classic counter to that is "but those differences are due to societal structure!" To which I would say yes, that is partially true, but I would argue there are also inherent personality traits that form before society can get its' grip on you - this is also scientifically backed. But Leo, scientifically backed doesn't mean anything! Did evolution not happen? Does the body you were given, functioning autonomously with an insane degree of intelligence, just appear out of nowhere? Maybe this is a hot take, but I think men and women evolved to live in harmony which results in the greatest survival likelihood rate. But Leo, that's just survival! Yes, the whole point of my argument is that biological and sociological factors play in. The natural difference between males and females may not be huge, but it certainly is there before conditioning.
  16. 10 years is a pretty solid guess. Thca is horrible imo anyways It's definitely a cheat code. I would argue psilocybin is more likely to get legalized in the future than 4 aco/amanita blends are to get banned. But yeah, who knows.
  17. You are literally nothing - reality is occurring in a tangential dimension to you. Anything you see and experience, no matter how good or bad, is in a dimension "beneath" you. Yes you are all of it but the true self is kind of like an implosion between internal and external.
  18. It's definitely a cheat code. I would argue psilocybin is more likely to get legalized in the future than 4 aco/amanita blends are to get banned. But yeah, who knows.
  19. Do you ever have a thought, and then as soon as you zone back into reality you have the exact word or idea you thought repeated back to you? To me this is evidence of God and a mental reality, not schizophrenia. Only God doesn't come out to you full stop because he always wants to remain slippery and difficult to find at a base state of consciousness. Also, Leo, have you ever considered adding a like button to topics or replies? Obviously there are group think dangers with that but also benefits.
  20. You can say sex is arbitrary and different from gender, but how would you know that's not an arbitrary and meaningless belief in itself? Just because a lot of people agree on something, doesn't make them right. The entire planet can agree on something and be wrong. I think people can pretend to be whatever they want, but don't force me to believe whatever you want me to believe.
  21. Things tend to be paradoxically "both and neither". And yes language is a construction, but it not required for understanding. When you truly know a thing it is underneath the level of language. The fact that we can find meaning and homeostasis, things that work at the time, even at lower levels of evolution, show that reality is not completely arbitrary. There is meaning and understanding at the subjective level and not-knowing at the absolute level.
  22. It was a road trip 4-aco gummy. Those things hit. Would highly recommend. Also if you don't feel like tripping, just wait for the right time. It could be months, but you'll usually know if it's time. It could also be said that you will never be fully ready and now is a good a time as ever. Balance those at your discretion.
  23. I asked ChatGPT and Grok which one is better. They both said themselves. Even though they are bots, their programming reflects the political bias of the environment in which they were created and is a direct metaphor to point of view bias - you don't know what you don't know. Although I will say - Grok is further right than ChatGPT is left. It's unhelpful to think of politics in perfectly symmetrical polarities, I think usually the true answer to problems takes multiple points of view into account and is never a hard right or hard left, nor perfectly in the middle. There is no completely pure, untainted knowledge coming from anyone on this planet so to assume your one source is the right one is the same as saying your one religion that you grew up with and is the only thing you have ever known is absolutely correct.
  24. I think we have a lot of common ground - I would further your argument by saying there is a logos and understandability to reality - and that is one of the deepest existential topics you can contemplate - as Einstein said, "The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible."
  25. Buddha taught that karma is how the architecture or imprint of mind transfers from one life and creates the next. In other words, the state or quality of your mind when you die directly transfers over and generates the next experience. It's not that action=consequence, rather action=long term imprinting on your own mind that generates the next "house" or reality you will live in. It's like dreaming at night - whatever your mental state was before crossing over greatly influences your dream and its rules. He said beings could be sent to hell realms for this reason, not by way of hanus acts being wrong in and of themselves. The lowest of which, Avīci, he said to last unimaginable yet not infinite time spans. Beings sent there, were not sent, but rather their own minds dreamt that hell realm after a previous life of committing atrocities which conditioned it into that state. Karma is said by Buddha to take an extremely long time to exhaust, which is why the punishment feels unproportionate to the crime. In the Pāli Canon, he says "This existence is a disease, a boil, a dart". He also claims it is not safe to be here due to the hell realms that can last for 10^40^40 years (that's the modern number, but in his words it was something like "the amount of time it takes to wipe out a mountain if you wipe it with a rag every 100 years".) For this reason liberation/ending of the rebirth cycle should be sought.
