  1. You are very obviously biased against NATO and the west. Before you criticize someone in such an arrogant way, have you considered looking at yourself? You calling people lazy? The person who claimed Russia never started any wars? Omg ?
  2. Haha you don’t have any perspectives, you’re just clueless. Saying that Russia was not involved in any wars is just laughable, did you not go to school? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_involving_Russia You’re from Serbia, other than Belarus, that’s the only country in Europe that full on supports russia and spreads russian propaganda. How you can keep thinking you’re better than everyone here is a mystery to me. Here’s a list of wars Russia’s been involved in/started since Soviet Union collapsed:
  3. This is literally why propaganda is born, because people are beyond uneducated and lazy, they believe any random picture off of internet ?‍♀️, this is so sad ?‍♀️, and these people are the loudest too ?‍♀️
  4. I don’t think they want to “counterbalance” it, rather they want to “dominate”
  5. @Something Funny If you look through the threads you will find a lot more of these brainwashed russian “gems”
  6. Many people in russia and some other parts of the world buy putins propaganda, lies that sound so ridiculous and insane to the rest of the world and especially Ukrainians who have been witnessing these lies from the front seats for many years. This video explains well why obvious lies and contradictions still make excellent propaganda.
  7. No, I just think you’re a lost cause and I should’ve blocked you earlier.
  8. Shhh.. there, there.. America is the most stupid country, and it’s the greatest villain too.. there, there… There are other countries in the world other than America and Russia. I was mostly talking from the Ukrainian frame of reference, at least where I’m from, average people are pretty involved in politics and everyone is very skeptical. Even when “good things” happen the first reaction is thinking about “what’s the catch”. Ukrainians don’t have the luxury to trust their government, and because they are not living in a bubble, they know that something is very off and they know things should be better.
  9. Again, you are missing a ton of understanding here. The major one being how you view Ukrainian nationalism. Modern day nationalism in the West and even in Russia is more of a “my country is the best, everyone else sucks” kind of nationalism (to put it in very simple terms) vs in Ukraine the nationalism is more of “leave me alone, I don’t want anything that’s yours, I just want what’s mine, let me have my culture, let me have my independence, stop corrupting my government, stop robbing my people, people wake up, start doing something for your country” and it’s been like that for years and centuries. You wouldn’t go and call natives “nationalists”, in a negative way, there is a reason the world encourages and wants them to keep their culture, given their painful history. One thing that Ukraine never got from the world, is recognition of Ukraine’s painful history. Stalin was worse than Hitler in terms of the number of people he killed. Ukrainian genocide in 1932 that killed from 4-8 million Ukrainians by starvation, over a period of 1 year, with some estimates going up to 10 million, is till this day, denied by Russia, and barely known to the world. For comparison, Nazi Germany killed around 6 million Jewish people. The Jewish people did get recognition and sympathy from the world though. If you’re interested, I made a post about some points of Ukrainian history a few days ago.
  10. I wouldn’t measure “power” solely by military strength.. plus what russia says about its strength and what is their actual strength are two different things
  11. How to spot a Russia supporter 101
  12. That is what I’ve been observing in a lot of street interviews where russians are being asked what they think about the war, many answers were of following nature: “I’ve been following this professor at so and so institute, and he supports the war. If the person this smart supports it, who am I to disagree, I support it too” ”I am not a politician, it’s none of my business, if the government decided we need the war, it must be true” ”I trust my government to do what is needed” ”I’m not interested in politics, let the professionals do their thing and make such decisions” ”Putin is a smart guy, he knows what he is doing” It was mind blowing to hear these responses to me. I think you’re right, it is a collectivist society thing. Blue is definitely like that, I can see it in green as well.
  13. Again, more russian propaganda. Have you considered learning Ukrainian perspective on this situation? You know.. people who actually lived through this.. who can tell you why they came out to protest in 2014? Or, like russia, you don’t consider Ukraine to be a sovereign country with its own culture, ideas, wants and believes? So why bother asking?
  14. I am Ukrainian and I think I am more of an expert on Ukraine and it’s history than most people on this forum. Ukrainian history is a lot more complicated than 1-2 YouTube videos. Plus during the Soviet times, it was widely distorted, my parents were taught completely different history in school than what I was taught. What you are saying is nothing else but Russian propaganda. Far-right political party in Ukraine during our most recent election in 2019 only got 2% of votes. In fact, Ukraine has a lot less far-right population than any “western” country. Our president is also Jewish. Honestly, whenever I tell my friends that some people outside of Russia actually believe Ukraine has a “Nazi” problem, they can’t stop laughing.
  15. Someone wrote this comment, and I agree with it fully: “Of course Putin has his survival agenda like every other human. But if we stick to this POV then nobody is a psychopath or mentally disturbed because everybody serves their interests. But the collective defines some survival agendas as psychopathetic when showing little to zero empathy for other's lives. In that frame yes he is a psychopath like every other serial killer.” Here is a DSM-5 clinical definition of antisocial personality disorder. Psychopathy is a term used by some professionals to refer to a form of antisocial personality disorder. ”APD (Antisocial Personality Disorder) is a DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fifth edition), diagnosis assigned to individuals who habitually and pervasively disregard or violate the rights and considerations of others without remorse. People with Antisocial Personality Disorder may be habitual criminals, or engage in behavior which would be grounds for criminal arrest and prosecution, or they may engage in behaviors which skirt the edges of the law, or manipulate and hurt others in non-criminal ways which are widely regarded as unethical, immoral, irresponsible, or in violation of social norms and expectations. Those with APD often possess an impaired moral conscience and make decisions driven purely by their own desires without considering the needs or negative effects of their actions on others. Impulsive and criminal behavior is common. The terms psychopathy or sociopathy are also used, in some contexts synonymously, in others, sociopath is differentiated from a psychopath, in that a sociopathy is rooted in environmental causes, while psychopathy is genetically based. The term antisocial may be confusing to the lay public, as the more common definition outside of clinical usage is an individual who is a loner or socially isolated. The literal meaning of the word antisocial can be more descriptive to both the lay public and professionals. To be anti-social is to be against society: against rules, norms, laws and acceptable behavior. Individuals with Antisocial Personality Disorder tend to be charismatic, attractive, and very good at obtaining sympathy from others; for example, describing themselves as the victim of injustice. Some studies suggest that the average intelligence of antisocials is higher than the norm. Antisocials possess a superficial charm, they can be thoughtful and cunning, and have an intuitive ability to rapidly observe and analyze others, determine their needs and preferences, and present it in a manner to facilitate manipulation and exploitation. They are able to harm and use other people in this manner, without remorse, guilt, shame or regret. It is widely stated that antisocials are without empathy, however this can be disputed, as sadistic antisocials will use empathy to experience their victim's suffering, and derive a fuller pleasure from it (Turvey, 1995). This is depicted in the classic work A Cask of Amontillado by Poe, as the main character entombs another man alive “...then I heard the furious vibrations of the chain. The noise lasted for several minutes, during which, that I might hearken to it with the more satisfaction, I ceased my labours and sat down upon the bones.” (Poe, 1846 ). Some research also suggests that sociopaths and psychopaths do have degrees of empathy, but with an innate ability to switch it off at will. (Meffer, Gazzola, den Boer, Bartells, 2013). This connection to empathy may give hope to future successful treatment as it suggests individuals with APD may be trained.” I would like to discuss this clinical definition in terms of Putin, because to me, he meets the definition a 100%. A small note on psychological disorders. Personality disorders are diagnosable by psychologists or psychiatrists and are grouped into clusters A, B or C, based on similar characteristics and symptoms. Many people with one personality disorder also have signs and symptoms of at least one additional personality disorder. Many personality disorders can be treated, but cannot be cured.
  16. You do understand you’re just repeating russian propaganda? This is simply not true. If I were you I’d give this a read: https://www.npr.org/2022/03/01/1083677765/putin-denazify-ukraine-russia-history
  17. What exactly is the “stain” on Ukrainian side? Living in their country and being a sovereign nation making its own decisions? You’re demonizing stage blue now. You can’t compare Ukrainian “nationalists” to right wing American nationalists, because like I explained, Ukrainian history is very complicated, the “nationalism” is basically just wanting to be free of occupation and have its own culture. Also hahahaha, easy to say when you sit on a chair and no one attacks you with bombs. I don’t see what you find funny about that..
  18. Very few people here know about the painful history Ukraine had with Russia. The narrative of “deep historical and cultural ties” between Ukraine and Russia is nothing but pure propaganda. It is similar to saying that Jews and Nazi Germany have “deep historical and cultural ties”. All the ties Ukraine had with Russia over the past ~350 years were mostly about: 1. Wars, Ukraine fighting for it’s independence 2. Genocides by Russia (Holodomor, Crimean Tatar deportation) 3. Russian persecution of Ukrainian culture and language 4. Persecution of Ukrainian intelligentsia and dissidents 5. Tragedies (like Chernobyl) 6. Shortages (during the “better” period of life in USSR) 7. Unfulfilled or distorted agreements (starting from 1654) If you do not think of a rapist and his victim as “family”, then you shouldn’t think of Russians and Ukrainians as “brother nations” Those who condemn Ukrainian nationalism also don’t understand this “nationalism” is Ukrainian pride for enduring so much bloodshed and still standing strong. It is similar to the pride black people have for overcoming their historical hardships. Or sorrow Jewish people have due to their painful history. Ukrainians have been fighting for their independence for centuries, it’s even in our anthem: “The glory and freedom of Ukraine has not yet perished Luck will still smile on us brother-Ukrainians. Our enemies will die, as the dew does in the sunshine, and we, too, brothers, we'll live happily in our land. We’ll not spare either our souls or bodies to get freedom and we’ll prove that we brothers are of Kozak kin.” Same with our national symbolics that has the word “freedom” (Ukrainian “Воля”) in it. My old neighbour was from Eastern Ukraine and a Holodomor (death by starvation) survivor. Her 2 brothers and both parents were starved to death while she managed to survive due to her older sister working and living in a Soviet camp diner. Her sister would steal small pieces of food, escape at night and hide them under a tree for my neighbour to pick it up. She couldn’t steal much, because if the soviets found out, she would be persecuted and put to death. It is believed that about 3.5 million to 7 million Ukrainians died of this artificial man-made famine within a year (1932-1933) while some estimate 10 million. The Ukrainian population was then replaced with Russians (which is why Eastern Ukraine has more Russian speakers) in a process referred to as Russification. Note that I don’t blame people here for not knowing Ukrainian history, I don’t know history of other cultures well too.
  19. I am not calling Putin a psychopath “just because I am from Ukraine”. WTF is this? Because I am Ukrainian everything I say is inherently wrong? I would examine your bias towards Ukrainians because this comment is full of hate speech and generalizations. I would also learn more about Ukraine and its history before calling it a “western puppet” because you sound really ignorant. Ukrainian nationalism is a result of painful history of invasions, wars, and Ukrainian genocide by russia over the past 300 years. Calling Ukrainians out on their “nationalism” is just as stupid as calling out a black person out for being proud of being black given the history they endured.
  20. I agree. Psychology/psychiatry are evolving fields that made a massive progress over the past few decades. Behavioural/social sciences are not ever going to be an exact science like math or physics, and it’s foolish to dismiss them, just because they are not 100% exact.
  21. He didn’t watch the videos and I asked him 3 times whether he knows anything about personality disorders and he just dodged the questions. How can you dismiss something you have no clue about? What does it say about the person who does this? The stance he is taking on the russia invading Ukraine situation, blaming NATO, might feel “unique” to people here, but it’s just a classic russian propaganda. I saw some of the videos Leo recommends and it just made me see he is completely clueless himself - I remember watching a documentary on putin a few years ago, it was filmed so well, that even I started feeling sorry for him and like he was a good guy - with all the assassinations attempts on him and how he “helped a friend”. But I am not a gullible idiot and I understand that with the right spin you can even portray Hitler as a good guy and a “victim”. Again, it all boils down to him not understanding stage red and how evil and vicious it will be in hiding the truth. You should never believe anything putin says, he is a great actor and very good at hiding his emotions, many gullible people will get fooled by that - putin definitely has fooled millions. Conscious people who live in post Soviet countries are very skeptical of everything their politicians say in an “it’s all lies anyways” way. People in the west are more privileged in that politicians are a lot more honest and less corrupt. The problem is you can’t take that naive big eyed western approach when judging russian politics, it’s just laughable.
  22. @Scholar Leo is incredibly abusive and bullying towards the people on this forum. Most people’s relationship with actualized.org is similar to that of an abusive relationship - in an abusive relationship usually the abuser also brings something “good” to the table. The victim then excuses abusive behaviour due to those “good” things about the abuser. Perhaps that is why he is so anti psychology, because if you study psychology and mental disorders, you can see straight through his abuse and narcissistic traits. Majority of the followers here are also traumatized. They are used to being abused so this is not unusual for them. Many also display various sadistic traits so if anything, they admire Leo’s bullying behaviour and even praise it.
  23. Predominantly red, with nationalistic blue side of things - the “right vs wrong” blue hasn’t hit them yet
