Well you aren't really anything more than anything else, are you? You don't have to worry about that so much. All you have to do is get out of your own way and let that which wants to express itself, express itself. This obviously doesn't help you get there but I don't want you to worry about your identity so much. Just do what you love and get out of your own way, that's really the key to a fulfilling life. As you follow your dreams you will naturally accumulate so many experiences and memories that will shape you and act as a reference from which spontaneous self expression can emerge.

Well maybe I do, maybe I don't, that's not the point. I like to give my perspective of things and I do that because I want to hear your perspective on my perspective and see if we agree on these things or not. I think we should be able to agree that the general vibe of this community is quite competitive and often results in trying to one-up each other while completely losing track of what the actual goal is or ought to be. Maybe that's just me, but I suspect not, that's why I keep pushing these buttons. I want to see if we can come to a shared understanding. If I just wait until I'm asked I will never know what's up -
Well then just follow those things you want to explore. But come on man. Nothing? Really? Don't think about these things logically. There is no good reason to do one thing over another. But you must have something that you dream of, even if it's just something as small as "I dream of having a great girlfriend and I see us lying on the beach looking up at the stars." That's something worth striving for right there.

You know, I don't think you can ever truly find your real identity. Go and take some time to think through what you actually want out of this life. Allow yourself to dream and really explore what a meaningful life would look like for you. Maybe you always dreamt of having a wife and kids but told yourself that this is not compatible with your spiritual pursuits; or maybe you always dreamt of living alone in the woods, writing novels; or perhaps you always wanted to travel the world with nothing but your backpack. You see what I'm getting at? Just follow your dreams and that will turn you into the person you were always supposed to be. Much love my friend

James Carse's "Finite and Infinite Games" was quite eye-opening to me.

The point of this work should not be to one-up each other on who went "deeper." This will inevitably end in the psychward or in suicide. I think we all lost our way to some degree, as to what we are actually in this for. We are the leading edge of evolution and I don't think we are taking enough responsibility for this currently (that is if you care about humanity and this world at all). -
I'm all for stealmanning and good faith communication, but let's not push it. This would be a disservice for those looking for guidance and are not as nuanced thinkers as you might be.

@Sine It can definitely lead you to lose touch with this thing we call reality. Let's assume the best for now. Leo was online earlier today so he's probably fine. Where's the guy that can predict the future when we need him? Maybe he could tell us what's up.

Thanks for enlightening me. I'll make sure to get a human trafficking ring going and punch some women in the face to integrate my shadow. While we're at it, let's integrate some of the profound teachings of Dan Bilzerian, Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein, gotta integrate that shadow am I right?

The only value this guy has is will to power. You would be a fool to assume that this will lead to a profound, meaningful life. He is just a shallow, sexist, narcissistic libertarian with no depth or nuance to his worldview at all. Listen to David Goggins if you want to be motivated, that guy at least has a spine and integrity and puts his money where his mouth is.

That's just what happens when you are in deep ecstasy, I wouldn't necessarily be worried about his well-being, he probably had a blast, but I would be worried if he is the kind of person I'd want to lead me.

Once we walk around with AI mediated brain-computer interfaces we won't have that problem any longer Nah, but seriously, I don't see it. If anything I'm surprised how well coordinated the EU is, considering how fragmented all the countries are internally.
-
There are language differences because the continent is fragmented, whatever came first. I don't see anything profound in that.

Talk about plausible deniability.

"How dare you question anything the guru does!" This is definitely bizarre enough for it to be justified to talk about it. If your boss would post pictures like that you would question if that is a guy you want to rely on to be able to feed your kids.

That's why we need rites of passage and rituals like the eleusinian mysteries as an integral part of society, so we can have a healthy flourishing society while not taking it for granted and letting it go down the drains.

He's a clever guy. I wouldn't call that Tier 2 though. He's basically just deconstructing a bunch of worldviews and exploring the fringes of ideology and cultural MEMEs. It's hard to judge of course since he's always being sarcastic. I don't think a person at Tier 2 would just spend their life creating edgy, sarcastic comedy bits though. There is no real recognition of values or meaning or a sense of sacredness in anything he does. Seems quite postmoderny to me. -

We should get to a point where that's not some "serious shit," but is a natural part of who and what we are. The only reason we see this as "serious shit" is cause we live in the dark ages and the ego of your guru feeds of this being seen as incredible and serious. -

That's what I was trying to say. You will inevitably come back into doing and knowing, but that space is still always there. Zak Stein had this profound triad of Ensoulment -> Development -> Transcendence -> Ensoulment. Now is that absolute Truth? No. But absolute Truth is completely groundless and noone here is speaking from this place, not even Leo. He does what he does to get you there but I don't see how it is desirable or even possible to just be there forever. Doing and becoming are just as valid as being. -
I would like to see him grow up and use his platform for good. Let's not kid ourselves here, we all want to live in a functioning, flourishing society and not some mad relativistic clusterfuck.

I think in the same sense that all philosophy ultimately leads you to the conclusion that Plato was right, all guitarists ultimately lead you to the conclusion that Hendrix was in fact the best On a more serious note, I think this one is pretty impressive:

That's my point. You don't know that. I don't mean to be disrespectful and I don't want to trigger you, but you're just clinging to some petty memory. That is exactly what's in the way. And I only talk to you like this because I know you are serious about understanding. -
If anything, that should shake your narrow and stiff view of reality a bit. No problem in getting a bit freaky sometimes. This obviously threatens and undermines society and won't fly for too long if you plan on continuing to live as a human amongst humans.

What's the cost here? Assuming he did this while tripping and just wanted to share the Love he felt, while not being that in touch with conventional reality, that's really nothing to be ashamed of. No worse than getting drunk and doing some dumb shit that you would rather forget the next morning.
