After you read it, try and summarize its top 5-10 core principles. Then figure out how to apply the concepts and principles in your daily life. True learning is behavior change, so maybe make a list of 5 ways that you can implement the book in your life. It could be actionable steps or possibly changing perspective in your life.

Get crystal fucking clear on your ideal life. Exactly where do you want to live. Exactly how much money do you want to make and how do you want to earn it. What are the experiences you want to have and who do you want to experience them with. What is your ideal partner, make a list of character traits. This vision is your target, and without a well defined target, you will be like a leaf in the wind. After you have a crystal clear vision of your ideal life, then create a plan of how you will achieve that and take massive action everyday towards the actualization of that vision. What skills and education are you lacking that will stop you from achieving your vision. A major key here is confidence and self belief. Believe that your life is a winning lottery ticket and that you will do anything it takes to cash that ticket in. You must have complete faith in your ability to achieve your goals. Having a strong sense of Life purpose helps along with the knowledge that you were divinely crafted by God. In terms of reprogramming your subconscious mind, hypnosis and NLP helps. Also spiritual work without spiritual bypassing. Psychedelics can help, but if you overdo them, it can kill motivation

I think in todays age, credentials can also be stuff like social proof, accomplishments, accolades, and experiences Derek is able to be an authority figure on health and fitness because when you look at him, he is obviously in better shape than 99% of the planet. Leo and other gurus have authority on spiritual matters because theyve invested thousands of hours into meditation, yoga, psychedelics, reading, and raising state of consciousness. I think to have credibility and authority as a public intellectual, you need to give someone a reason why they should trust you. That can be achieved through degrees or accomplishments like writing a book, having a podcast where you interview intellectuals (Think Tim Ferris and Curt Jaimungal), or achieve success in some field like starting a business or organization (Think Daniel Schmactenberger). You basically need to have results in life that people want.
