Islamic governments in Middle East/Arab countries believe in Sharia. The people too. It's not forced and just ingrained into the culture and way of life. If you ask Palestinian refugees where their grandparents were born they will all say the same thing, in Palestine and not just Gaza/West Bank but all of Palestine.
