@Leo Gura Did you catch such a glimpse? How can it be triggered? -
Hi all, I am thinking about starting a project, wich would contain building a website. I have no idea how much time it would take to make this website. Let's say for example, I make a website like this: actualized.org how long would it take for a newbie like me to build this website (only the software off course, not the content)? 100 hours, 1000 hours, 5000 hours?

Your ideas sound a lot like Elliot Hulses youtube channel. You can check it out.

I admire your honesty. But it seems a bit hyprocit to use your father-whithout who you wouldn't be alive- to support you and at the other hand to treat him as poison. Do you know for sure that he is abusive and has a negative impact on your life? Did you already talk to him about the problem, wathever that may be? -

I think the most important factor in raising awareness is a daily habit. Personally I would use the time you have now to cotemplate a lot about what you want to do for a living. Don't take meditation and working on yourself as an excuse to not build a valuable source of income (i mean a carreer/business/... you love). So if I were you I would focus the most on the life purpose course you want to take. And besides that I would install a consistent meditation habit (by starting small, what is the longest time you have meditated during a day?). -
Hi Can some of you do a reading recommendation about practicing gratitude. I would like to read something about scientific studies of the effect of a daily practice of gratitude etc Thanks Wouter

Becoming a professional theoretical physicist and -off course^^- getting enlightened.

@reez Thanks for your reply :-) I want to do it whole by myself, from scratch, ie I also need to learn to program a website. I know this will take a lot of time, I just want to have a more concrete idea of what this means.

Open the mind != accept.. Open the mind means actually "open your mind to the possibility that.." So in this case: "open your mind by considering without preconceptions that having a psychedelic experience can show demonstrate what is possible with the mind" and also "open your mind to the possibility that such powerfull substances can have a negative influence if x or y or z" This is not a contradiction at all.
-
@Neo In what way is this a contradiction?

@Travis In my view spirituality is not about concepts, but about experience. -
I also think it is an instinct to want to have children. I think all the things we want are just instinct. The only things our notions of "good" and "bad" are grounded in is instinct (again, just in my opinin). So yeah I kind of agree. But it's still magic that it's possible for cells to combine and produce "life" wathever that may be, right?

@Hardik jain I wouldn't make it as a goal to cut half of your commitments. I would rather make sure you aren't to busy, have time and energy for consciousness work, strategize your life etc. So this can mean reducing commitment, not trying to fill the void when you sense a deep sense but sudden sense of somthing to be wrong/boring.. I think that's easier then what you describe and more important also

@Mal Did you realise/experience everything you said or do you just have it as a belief? I don't understand your defenition of hapiness which I think is "A general disposition caused by a deep sense of peace" because I am not a native englisch speaker and I don't dind an appropreate translation. -
I think you should be really critical for yourself here. What exactly do you mean "go with the flow". You mention a lack of experience, well everything that one has ever accomplisched (internal or external), started with a lack of experience (otherwise we schouldn't call it an accomplischment but "something he is born with"). You ask wheter comes natural, I would say it probably does when you know yourself really well so that you can contribute to society in your way, but I don't think your boss is going to random give you 1M cheque.. How well do you know yourself, for myself for example I think this something huge I have to work on.

When you make a statement like this, what do you actually mean with the word "hapiness". Can you define it please? In my opinion the word hapiness is used for "the state we (whatever that may be) want to be in". So from this defenition it is obvious and normal that we do everything what we think will bring us hapiness, in other words hapiness is our ultimate goal when we use the defenition of hapiness I gave. Wheter our strategies to achieve hapiness are appropreate or not, that's something different.. So when we say "truth is the most important", I think we rather say "wheter we realise it or not, "getting to truth" is fundamental for real deep hapiness" than "truth is more imortant than hapiness".
