This is exactly why Leo should provide downloadable, life-sized, cut-out-and-keep photos of himself.

It’s less than that.

Just returning your call. My goal is coalescence and homogenisation of all points of view, but it’s no fun unless I can play in esoteric mode. -
@meta_male The seeking of meaning is the suffering. Labels like "narcissist" are a form of dehumanisation and condemnation. Pathological narcissism is very rare. Carelessly throwing this label around helps neither the apparent victim nor the apparent perpetrator (both of whom can suffer a lot)

narcissist /ˈnɑːsɪsɪst / noun: One of the most dehumanising and most commonly-misused diagnoses of the past decade.

No value whatsoever in Freud or Jung or anything else. They can both be entertaining though (probably Jung more than Freud)

Hey all, look at this list of exactly equal things, none of which exist: A beautiful sunset A long straight road Free will A field full of cows You A late train Thirst A difficult chess puzzle Awareness Gaslighting -
Honestly, the behaviour that troubles me the most is from the far left. They’re like the new Red Guards. That which is considered these days to be far right is very rarely genuinely far right. It’s just that the Overton Window has shifted so much. Churchill once said that if you’re not left wing when you’re young, you lack passion. And if you’re not right wing when you get older, you lack intelligence. Leaving the extremes of far left and far right aside, there is some truth to this.

I think he just wants to see more balance.

'No self' is not a state that people permanently reside in. It is just what is (already) That is, there are no people, and there is no you. People say there are glimpses, but really once seen it cannot be unseen (and the idea of a glimpse then seems quite silly) -

"They're made out of meat." "Meat?" "Meat. They're made out of meat." "Meat?" "There's no doubt about it. We picked several from different parts of the planet, took them aboard our recon vessels, probed them all the way through. They're completely meat." "That's impossible. What about the radio signals? The messages to the stars." "They use the radio waves to talk, but the signals don't come from them. The signals come from machines." "So who made the machines? That's who we want to contact." "They made the machines. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Meat made the machines." "That's ridiculous. How can meat make a machine? You're asking me to believe in sentient meat." -
Don't get hooked on Aristotelian logic ;-)

If your goal is to relax, I think it is best to lie down and go to sleep. -
@Leo Gura He has democratised Twitter Blue, so total conversions account for the entire user base, not only the existing checkmarked users. Estimates of the total user base seem to vary, anything between 280m to 450m. A conversion rate of 5% seems reasonable. But even if it is half of this, that is still $700m from Twitter Blue subs + approx $5bn from advertising and data licensing (again not accounting for growth)
-
Let's say Twitter Blue on-boards 5% conversion of 300m users = 15m users. 15,000,000 users X $8 (subscription fee) = $120,000,000 per month / $1.44bn per year In 2021, Twitter made $4.5bn from advertising and $0.5bn from data licensing. So in total, revenues are currently approx $6bn per year. Employee overheads are now reduced by 50% (could be more)

Well... that is the prototypical hyper-animated, plasticky, Loony-Tunes style DMT world. A lot of people have experienced that. You have said in the past that you've never experienced strong visuals on psychedelics. Perhaps your brain chemistry now allows this - in which case, yes - when these unfathomable alien landscapes are first encountered, it really does seem exactly like a portal to another dimension has opened up. The world you're describing always has that cartoonish circus / carnival vibe with playful (although sometimes ominous) entities. I've seen it before many times. Bizarre playful creatures doing cartwheels, backflips, helicoptering around... all of that will be extremely familiar to those who have visual experiences of alien worlds on DMT. The neuroscientist Andrew Gallimore has recently released an erudite and academically stringent new book 'Reality Switch Technologies', in which he argues that DMT and other psychedelics provide chemical gateways to alien worlds by altering neurochemistry. The changes to brainwave frequency prime the cortical columns to pick up new reality "channels" or "stations". Maybe take a read. -

It's just another experience. There is nothing special about it, but novelty is a lot of fun. -

You're not here This place has obvious entertainment value, but sometimes I think Leo doesn't push it quite far enough. -

It is actually. There are no grades of enlightenment. It is final. -

Right, but if you wanted to teach a lesson about the dangers of outsourcing spirituality to a third party, about blindly following gurus or other leaders, about shirking direct responsibility… and you happened to have a large and mostly impressionable following who - in spite of repeatedly hearing “the only one who can awaken is you” - still hang on every new esoteric soundbite you utter… what would you do? -

Have you considered that Leo’s point here may have nothing to do with the words he is using? -

Tony is referring to Jim Newman. Tony is actually a real grouch at times. Jim’s laugh is even more infectious, and he has a lot more patience. I’ve been to one of Tony’s meetings and a few people walked out. They were visibly angry and upset that Tony claimed not to have any awareness. They said it was the most ridiculous thing they’d ever heard. it almost got a little heated. On a Jim Newman retreat I had a very significant breakthrough. The final layer of the onion peeled away. My most significant breakthroughs ever were: - 6 gram blindfolded psilocybin: Total bliss / terror / fucking unfathomable depths of agonising love God awakening, completely forgot I was a human being, felt like I had gone to another dimension for a million years. Coming back was dumbfounding. Utterly life changing. - Vipassana retreat. On day 7 after 60+ hours of motionless meditation, I realised I could sit through any amount of physical pain - even pure agony - and remain totally blissed out, not needing to adjust my position in any way, because it became suddenly startlingly obvious that I was not the body. I was smiling from ear to ear after this one. - Jim Newman retreat. The complete disappearance of the subject. Can’t even get it back if I tried, as there is no me left to try. Emotionally this was nothing compared to either of the above, but it was in a strange way the most profound. The end of seeking any meaning or purpose in anything. AMA ;-) -

Likewise, reading your posts is like watching a kid opening presents at Christmas. It is genuinely endearing. I disagree with you only to encourage you
