axiom replied to AndylizedAAY's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The Terminator hunts down Sarah Connor because he wants to somehow bend the rules of physics (and of celluloid) and - in a single blinding flash - achieve the profound recognition that he is a fictional character in a James Cameron movie. Every time I watch that movie I can still see him plugging away. I wish him the best. Maybe he’ll get there one day. Right? -

Who knows? -

No, awakening is beyond all realisation. It is not what anyone thinks it is. -

It’s called liberation because there’s no identification left. -

Awakening is not what you think it is. -

@YogiCosmos Ultimately the hoping seems to dissolve, or seems at least to have far less weight or significance, along with the dissolution of the self / Self at the centre. A self (or a Self) can still appear, but it is seen to simply be cobbled together from the "building blocks" of whatever is arising. With the mechanism of the self exposed as the house of cards that it is, it collapses and there is no vantage point remaining. Whatever appears is then imbued with a perfection that only a complete lack of judgement can bring. In this case, there is no "hoping for more to unfold" There is just this being perfect. Nothing real lies at the centre to pass judgement. -

@Rasheed Whatever Om Swami may or may not think (or may / may not have done) makes no difference to awakening. Buddha left for six years because he left for six years. Buddha, Mahavira, Om Swami, and you - all are dream characters. -
axiom replied to Rasheed's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Rasheed The belief that you can do something to get somewhere, and that some type of extreme practice is what is needed to awaken is exactly what keeps people from awakening. In the same way, the massive focus these days on mental health / identity is the very thing that makes people so unhappy. Noone can awaken from the dream of seeking a better experience if all they do is seek a better experience. But the same logic applies to 5MEO insofar as it becomes a preoccupation or a religion. As such, any notion of intense practice or intense commitment being necessary is complete nonsense. More often than not, this strengthens and reinforces the dream by lending credence to it. -

Wow! Proof! -

Right, that’s it. Very rare realisation. Self is relative, just like self, sky, trees, car, etc. Big Self / God Realisation is not the final realisation - it’s just another appearance - a thought/recontextualisation of self. Without Self “running the show” so to speak, the centre is dissolved. Only totality remains, and it is impossible to describe it. A small tweak though… it is not really “we are”, since nothing owns this. “we” is relative / subjective. It is simply this, indescribable. -

@YogiCosmos Ah! Nice. Very few people "on the path" will relate to what you're describing here. Recognising that there is no self or Self sitting at the top of an identity hierarchy is very rare. Ego, sky, street, hands, feet. All on a level playing field. All just appearance. No doer, no observer, no thinker. Just totality ... as you describe. -
The whole frame is wrong.

@Edvardas Karma is just attachment to forms.

There is no you, there is no free will. In the light of infinite love, forgiveness and/or mercilessness loses all meaning. Neither can exist.

Don't let beauty and fragility trump compatibility.

@no_name The universe seems to be like an endless series of giant waves of causality. It rises up, finds its apex, then falls into a crescendo before completely dissolving as it meets the shore. But there is no you. -

True no self is not an attainment. It is the end of all attainments. -
Trump is a bit of a clown obviously, but his coming back to Twitter doesn’t bother me.

I don’t. These are words on a page. -
There is no free will. There is no meaning. All meaning is just a fantasy concocted by the energy that seeks completeness in spite of already being complete (the apparent self)

There is this, apparently. As far as what is, it cannot be said. -
axiom replied to Julian gabriel's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Julian gabriel In the end, no one can choose whether or not to act courageously. So then attributing courage or cowardice to apparent behaviours can only be a misapprehension. -

There is no experience. -
axiom replied to inFlow's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It’s not true though ;-) There is no consciousness. There is no we. There is no you. -
axiom replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Science can’t explain or find consciousness because there is no consciousness.
