  1. Ultimately as you say, Experience don't need to have the appearance of a self in order to be. However if Reality wants to have a relative experience, e.g. the illusion of eating an ice cream, it needs to create both the appearance of ice cream (other) and the appearance one eating the ice cream (self). Well it isn't as we just established, unless You want to have the illusion of something happening to someone. Illusion as we know it requires the appearance of a self. That's just how it is. It's always something happening relative to the appearance of someone. Otherwise it would be completely impersonal.
  2. Yeah, it just hit me that watching a video like the one you referenced is a way simpler way of getting visual and auditory variation. Something like a moving mandala or an infinite fractal zoom could be effective. Like this: Lol that's random, but that's exactly what you'd want. If could find somebody who's into that, but hey, I guess there's a niche for everybody
  3. DISCLAIMER: I'm not encouraging you to do what's in this post as it's merely informative in nature, and I don't take responsibility for any possible trauma. May trigger psychopathology, so especially don't do this if you're mentally unstable. TLDR; Do this at your own risk. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Introduction: So the other day I made my own meditation technique. The bagground for it's development was the realization that Reality isn't a single thing, and therefore anything I would be clinging to wouldn't be it, instead it's the entire flow of changing phenomena. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why: So the main point of this technique is to get your mind unstuck. See right now you're mind is probably very crystalized, i.e. you're in a very stable and grounded state of consciousness. This is probably also the state you spend most of your time in. Why would you want to enter a fluid and unrestricted state of consciousness? Besides it feeling good because it's fertile ground for, A, spontaneous enlightenment (High magic), and B, performing performing practical magic (low magic) like incantations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ How: The way you do this is by constantly changing your object of meditation so that you mind actually don't have a single object that it can cling to. This relates to all five senses: Sight: Keep looking around at your surroundings. Keep moving your eyes; up, down, left, right, go in circles. Touch: Touch something hard, then touch something soft, then touch something else. Hearing: Sing some kind of random hymns. Speak in tongues (glossolalia). Taste: Eat something sweet, then something sour. Smell: Smell different things. Something pleasant and something unpleasant. Also move your body. Move your arms up and down. Spin around. But the most important of all is you mind's eye. Because you could be doing all the above, but still be fixated about the bills you need to pay tomorrow. You need to be constantly changing what's in your mind's eye. Imagine a banana, now a kangaroo, now the earth's core. Also don't limit yourself to logical things; Imagine a circle that's also a square, imagine a palace that doesn't exist, imagine swimming above water. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Additional: What you'll notice is that you may cringe and be very reluctant at first because it's uncharted (more like forgotten) territory, and you'll look unhinged, which is socially unacceptable. Society hates unpredictability. But you're not abandoning logic, you're merely transcending it temporarily. What you also may notice is that you'll feel like a child again, which might be a very distant, or even a forgotten, feeling. Most of us are so disconnected from this state that we can't even remeber what it used to feel like to be this free. What are your thoughts? If you've tried it let me know what you think.
  4. Post #12: Dafoe is not a foe As you can see from clip 1 and clip 2 Willem Dafoe seems surprisingly chill, funny, and down to earth, walking the streets of NYC and interacting with people, which is kind of ironic given that he commonly plays the villain. He seems very humble and doesn't seem to take him himself too seriously. In other words it seems like he's aware of the very simple, yet often overlooked (especially by his peers) truth that at the end of the day he's a human just like everyone else. Obviously this is just speculation, since i don't know what's going on in his head. Some other people from Hollywood I admire is Jim Carrey (obviously), Jack Black and Denzel Washington.
  5. Entitled people talking, complaining and moaning about irrelevant superficial stuff that won't matter in 5 years, or even tommorow. When they're at school they talk about work like: "omg, I hope [name] isn't working today". Then when they're at work they're probably talking about school like: "omg, did you see the pants that the teacher was wearing today". It's a never ending cycle, every day it's the same.... but just in a different pile. It's seems like that's the only way they know how to relate to each other. They'll find anything to complain about, they've turned it into an art, like you could put them in heaven and they'll find something to complain about. Now that I think about it that's fundamental egoic predicament. Hm, maybe others superficial dynamics are just a reflection of the subtle dynamics withing us? I don't mind having a conversation just for the sake of it, but my goodness not like that ^
  6. Post #11: Getting serious For the first 3 years of my journey I've been mostly quiet on this forum and shying away from conscious people in general, but this is no longer the case. As you may have noticed I've been posting a lot recently, that's because I've gotten serious about this work. I'm done fooling around. This is where the rubber meets the road. I try to limit myself to about 10 posts a day to ensure the quality of my posts, and to avoid spending all day on the forum. Watch me transform first myself.
  7. I'm not calling the apple sour. I'm also not saying they can't be useful and that you shouldn't practice them, you absolutely should IMO. All I'm saying is they "shouldn't" be the goal in and of themselves. The goal is Liberation and they can indeed aid in that endeavor like you pointed out.
  8. There's probably all kind of hacks you could find, but the bottom line is that as long as you're ejaculating you're depleting your essence. Therefore the only way to perserve you essence is to abstain from ejaculation (semen retention) and instead rely on non-ejaculatory orgasms, which Johnathan also teaches. Easier said than done, I know. Alternatively you could practice periods semen retention with ejaculatory sex in between, which is what I've been practicing. PS: Semen retention doesn't mean no sex!
  9. I'd agree, your posts are of very high quality. I also find myself asking why I do it, when I put a decent amount effort into my posts, and most of the time I don't even receive an answer, let alone thanks. But then I remind myself that at the end of the day I'm doing it for myself; The more I "teach", i.e. spend time at the top of the learning pyramid, the more my understanding of the subject in question increases. I suspect that this is also the prime motive for most teachers
  10. Check out Johnathan White @SexualKungFu on YouTube (if you haven't already). He talks about full-body, and probably also, multiple orgasms. There's also mystical dimensions to this, which is what I've been primarily interested in. The reason you feel drained (if you're ejaculating) is because you're depleting your vital essence (jing).
  11. Egoic development and level of consciousness determines the level of corruption, not the level of strictness. Hippie culture is kind of loose with it, but they have high integrity.
  12. Exactly what the word implies, to break the jail of your mind. Everything. Not just as in the motivational anything's-possible sense. Literally ANYTING is possible. "But that can't be". That's your jail. It's just that we've imagined ourselves to limited for so long that it seems impossible, but ironically and paradoxically impossibility itself is the only impossibility.
  13. From my blog post #3: "Here's a list of eerily peculiar and relatable emotions i didn't even know had a name: https://thoughtcatalog.com/brianna-wiest/2016/02/40-words-for-emotions-youve-felt-but-couldnt-explain/ [...]" One thing I've noticed recently is just how implicit some emotions/thoughts are. Some are very obvious and take the shape of intrapersonal communication, but some are so subtle that they aren't even expressed trough words, i.e. they're more formless. They're like little jolts of implicit understanding. I can then through conscious effort explicate these emotions, but the process is tedious, crude at first and they're never actually fully explicated.
  14. Post #10: Do you mind? Reality is Mind, but it doesn't mind, do you?
  15. This might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwROPb6a8RY (Carl Jung & The Psychology of Self-Sabotage (feat. Emerald)).
  16. Survival, i.e. desire for a specific outcome (outcome dependence). If you're only happy under (very) specific conditions, you can't by definition be happy all the time (under all conditions).
  17. They're are cool and everything, but they can be a distraction. What's the point of having magical powers if you're still in chains? Theurgy (high magic) "should" be your bread and butter. Thaumaturgy (low magic) "should" be the icing on the cake; a bonus.
  18. Obviously I haven't, otherwise i couldn't be communicating with you. I'm not disagreeing with the fact that death is conceptual. All I'm saying is that ego takes illusion for reality, which means that from the illusory egoic perspective, death, just like suffering, is as real as it gets.
  19. I'd say i know two things for certain: That Consciousness exists, or more accurately Consciousness equals Existence. It's self-evident. It's not something i have to think about. Trying to prove it would be absurd, prove it to who? That i don't really know anything else, everything else i claim to know is really belief.
  20. I'd guess it depends on how ready the person is to let go, although everyone willingly undergoing euthanasia is ready to let go to some degree. For the normie the ego would probably fight tooth and nail to resist it's own demise until it no longer can, which would probably feel like a huge burden have been lifted off One's shoulders. I'd guess the whole experience would be very lucid. I guess losing Your ego is not something that can go unnoticed, since the difference between you and no-you is night and day. I.e. it would probably be an intense internal battle. Like the whole spiritual path which can take a lifetime condensed into a couple of minutes. Although then it would be weird that they don't show external signs of this, maybe because their body is somehow paralyzed? Not from the human perspective.
  21. Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), spiral dynamics (SD), enneagram and attachment styles to name a few. If you wanna get mystical with it there's stuff like the classical zodiac and Human Design.
  22. You're struggling, but that's not a problem. It's a struggle. It's the hardest thing to do, but then again it's also the only thing to do. That's literally why we're here anyways. The point of our existence and the meaning of life. Ta-da! It's not about having pity, but compassion. Sure the world may be cruel and people will judge you, but that doesn't make love irrelevant, precisely the opposite; it makes it crucial. Sure loving yourself does include acknowledging your limits (what we might call weaknesses), but so what? We're all limited. Sure you can get hurt despite how you feel about yourself, so why not love yourself? It won't make it worse. You're doing good, keep going.
  23. Sure, it's called omnism: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnism. Not only is it good and ok, it's also true. It's a holistic worldview that incorporates and is able to make sense of all religions as individual expressions of Truth, and therefore is at peace with itself and others.
  24. Post #9: Deconstruction At this rate I'll deconstruct the entire universe before i get a girlfriend.
