Keep in mind this is what he's sharing publically himself and it's still pretty bad, the ins and outs could be a lot worse. Also you do seem to be defending him by bringing up worse people or organisations. Im not even saying hes the worst person in the world, there are no doubt much worse, but overall just from what he says in the video and the description, he's definitely not someone I would recommend to young boys personally and that's more what I'm concerned with, having worked in the youth services industry personally and seeing first hand how impressionable young boys are. I think that is really the question to ask yourself in terms of whether Tate is a net good.

It's slightly different in terms of how you're describing women getting into the business. How you're describing it would probably be cool, meet a women who's open to it, help them with it, agree whatever cut you want. How Tate has spoken about doing it is meet a girl from Instagram or a dating app or wherever, get them to fall in love with you through manipulation, fly them to Romania and sell them on doing the sex work. Now the essential part of this is making them fall in love with you, this is really where the crime is because the woman is making a decision that she wouldn't have otherwise made, Tate is fully aware of this so it's not an accident. So what you should explore is how would you feel if your sister or a female friend or someone went down this path, would you say 'ah well she knew what she was doing' or would you have empathy for that situation. Furthermore, if he's then selling it to young boys that could also be a big problem. I understand your concerns with Leo, I have some of the same concerns but even if we say Leo is some evil cult leader it still doesn't excuse what Tate has done and his effect on people. Also the difference I've seen is that there are tons of threads criticising Leo on here, I've even posted a couple myself, none of which as far as I know have been taken down. Any criticism of Tate is usually shut down by Tate and his followers, some are even claiming that voice notes from him are computer generated, this to me shows a complete lack of accountability, which I think is even more dangerous and creates very deep echo chambers.

I'm not really about demonising anyone but I just want to push back on your perspective a little. I think your issue seems to be more hypocrisy on the forum ie people saying Tate is bad and not looking at the flaws of say Leo who you think is potentially worse than Tate. So your perspective being correct is based essentially who's worse Leo or Tate? Would your position change if Tate was found guilty? Keep in mind he has himself released a guide on how to traffic women, get them into the webcam business and keep them there by getting them to fall in love with him, whilst taking 70% of their money under false pretences and avoid paying tax. He also explicitly talks about how he takes advantage of lonely men and makes them fall in love with the cam girls to extract as much money from them as possible. These are all things that have come out of his mouth and that he's advised other people to do. Now regardless of Leo and any hypocrisy on the forum, would you say this is someone you would advise young, potentially vulnerable boys to follow or would you say that it could be quite damaging for them? Imagine he wasn't charismatic, would you still defend these actions?

I think every teacher will say some things that will negatively impact people dependent on where they're at. I've started full posts about where I think Leo could affect people negatively, but I would say intention and integrity is the most important thing. You can afford every teacher a misstep here or there but when considering taking a teacher seriously it's really their why that you want to look at. Leo in my estimation, is trying to provide legit value and help people with knowledge and insights that he's accumulated. Does he also want to make money and get some status? Probably, but I don't think he would sell his integrity to do it. Is he always right, hell no. With Tate he obviously wants to make money and get status and potentially there's a part of him that might want to help people, but his actions from his own words don't indicate to me that he puts helping people above making money, in fact he's not at all above exploiting people to make money. For example he actually breaks down how to keep men hooked on the Web cam sites and get more money from them by emotionally manipulating them. To me these things show that his main drive is to make as much money and get as much status as possible, regardless of who gets hurt in the process. There is a need for more masculine role models in society i ageee. But the problem we have is that social media is so noisy its hard to get real masculine role models to shout above all the loud, flashy, click bait influencers. In reality a good role model should be comparatively boring, they shouldn't be saying things you want to hear but rather what you need to hear. If young boys are choosing their role models it's unlikely they're going to make sensible choices.

Hey man, I agree you can find something useful in all teachers, I think for me the problem with Tate is that he appeals a lot to young boys and a lot of them take on the teacher wholesale, so even if he says some stuff that can help them, because they're looking for direction in life they can also take on his views that could be harmful to their life, ie affect their relationships with women. For example (not conflating them) I'm sure Hitler said a lot things that could be useful in your life and motivate you and whatnot, but you'd probably agree his affect on people and his motivations for spreading his message are not healthy and would lead to a net negative left unchecked. So having seen the effect Tate has on young boys, personally I don't think it's healthy. From an individual perspective there are probably things you and I could take and make use of, whilst also disregarding the nonsense or the character. You get where I'm coming from?

Thanks for your input, yeah I think she probably wants a more committed situation. Thing is I do like her and the sex is great so I wouldn't be against it in theory, the issue from my side is I do like the freedom and I feel that with her and maybe a lot of women they get more attracted when you're just slightly out of reach, so it maybe that we settle down and she gets a bit bored or the relationship just gets boring. From her side we might not be compatible in that she's a bit of a perfectionist and I'm not so a lot of things I do naturally can cause arguments, however she has been on best behavior since we started talking again. I'm trying to be careful if it is just fwb but it is easy to slip into a more relationship type thing.

Was in Colombia early 2022 with my ex-gf who is colombian but i met her in the UK. Amazing experience and i would love to go there or somewhere by myself just to have that experience of going out on my own. I found the language difficult because when you travel in europe you can usually get by but in Colombia no one really speaks English so it was a real challenge. I like the idea of learning spanish in colombia or another spanish speaking country, are there any tips on this? ive never considered it but it gives you a bit of focus while your there rather than just being in holiday mode

What does she do all day, does she work? Do you have to work from home, could you not work out of a coffee shop or something? Generally it sounds like she needs some of her own stuff to focus on as all the focus seems to be on you which is probably not healthy from one side to another. Communication is always the way forward though

Why would they act differently in terms of capitalism just because its a vaccine? Theres no allegiance to a vaccine, russia is literally at war for much less than a vaccine, guaranteed if they could find something wrong with pfizer vaccine and promote their own, 100% they would do it. China are not getting paid from the vaccine but theyre still using it and paying for it, even though them doing that enriches a US company. It sounds like your trying to shoehorn your already established position into a reality that cant sustain it. -
@trenton Nice, ill check it out. I was on lichess before and had around 1800 rating which was a lot more than my chess.com, what do you think is more accurate?

@Bobby_2021 Would you be ok for Tate to date your sister?

OK so specifically what i was talking about was working with kids that are vulnerable in youth services, which i did personally for about 4 years. When you work with them you realise that they are suceptible to outside 'bad' influences. In my case the young people were potentially vulnerable to join criminal gangs but we also specifically worked with young people that were vulnerable to terrorist organisations. Young people become more vulnerable if they have a bad home life or have mental health problems etc if young people that fall into this category are targeted by people trying to groom and radicalise them, this can result in devastating consequence, whereby the young person can go to deep and commit a real crime and possibly get imprisoned or hurt someone. What you need to understand is that these organisations are actively looking to do this, that is there sole reason for releasing information, its not a case of theyre just saying what they think and some people are taking it too seriously, the content is specifically designed to target vulnerable people who are likely to join whoever's movement. This is a very real thing that happens everyday. I asked you if you worked with young people in this capacity because if you did you would realise how serious this issue is. While it might be fun to philosophise on how we can maintain free speech and how everyones sovereign, the reality is real people and families get hurt by this everyday. If you went into the world and saw this i think it would be impossible to keep your position. Luckily you dont have any sufficient reach to affect anyone, but for your own understanding, realise that you just watching things on youtube and then thinking you have some solution compared to people who have spent years in the industry, specifically dealing with this issue is not even close to being comparable. The only reason why people are even responding to you is because of how ignorant your thinking is. -

Ok so you havent actually worked with young people in a professional capacity? -
Consept replied to Victor van Rijn's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Thats slightly worrying, in what capacity? -
Consept replied to Victor van Rijn's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
However you want to word it, have you worked with young people before? -
Consept replied to Victor van Rijn's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Can you answer the question? -
Consept replied to Victor van Rijn's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
ok.... so have you worked with anyone, maybe young people who maybe interested in potentially dangerous ideologies? I think you know what im asking but you seem to be avoiding the question -
Consept replied to Victor van Rijn's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@mr_engineer You didn't actually answer my question, have you worked with vulnerable young people and seen the effects radical propaganda has on them? Or are all your 'solutions' just from watching certain online talking heads? Also just to confirm, is your solution to radicalisation, let them be exposed to terrorist propaganda, but also show them your propaganda that combats it? This is pretty much how it goes today and there are a lot of problems, you are somewhat underestimating the scale of this problem just to hold up your free speech absolutism. -

You missed what im saying, im not saying that black people in this example need to be protected. I am specifically saying that white people who are susceptible to falling down the rabbit hole of racism need to be protected. Let me use another example, Al-qaeda, specifically look for vulnerable people in the west to radicalise them so that they can join their cause. I personally while working with young people was in a seminar where they stated the problem of young people getting radicalised and how they were targeted and how to deal with it. They didnt draw any distinctions on which form of radicalisation was worse they actually used examples of islamic terrorism and far right terrorism, they are both 2 sides of the same coin. Now what you have to understand is that there are going to be a certain amount of vulnerable people who will fall victim to online attempts to radicalise them, it just is what it is and so its a matter of handling this as best as possible as it has real world consequences for a lot of people and at the very least its highly irresponsible to allow it to happen on a platform. Is it the only solution? No of course not, work has to be done with families and vulnerable people, that is probably more important, but platforming people who are actively trying to recruit people into these ideologies is extremely dangerous. Can i ask do you have any experience working with vulnerable people or any experience of the consequences of allowing hateful rhetoric designed to recruit? -
Consept replied to Victor van Rijn's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
That is quite an oversimplification of the solution for racism. What you're not taking into account is that there are many vulnerable people who can be influenced negatively by others promoting ideologies. For example, someone speaking about rhetoric like black people are sub-human, could be picked up by vulnerable white men, but this will only happen if the platform is made available to share these ideas. There has to be protection for these people, it's the same reason why you would have protection for kids, you have to have a criminal check etc to be allowed to work with kids why should this be different for speaking to people who are liable to fall into s cultist rabbit hole? Given that most these platforms are private businesses there is absolutely a duty of care to their users. -
Do you wanna do a couple practice lessons with me? I'm around 1500 rated on chess.com but I haven't formally learnt any principles, so I'm up for however you want to teach that will improve me

Dam, between this and him bragging about how he run his cam business this is not looking good for Tate. I suspect he also pissed off Romania by constantly bragging about how he could get away with shit there. He will most likely go down for it, as long as the case is solid. The funny thing is he could've quite easily got away with it, if he didn't keep talking about it and showing off. Without him doing that a lot of it could be quite grey and hard to pin down but he's really exposed himself. He was addicted to the fame. The other sad thing is young men are really fucked if they're holding him up as a role model, there's such a lack of strong, healthy, masculine role models that an alleged sex trafficker is seen as the pinnacle of manhood. Even if he does get off, at the very least its very shady.
