I see Maybe it exists apparently but not really I understand . It’s one way of defining solipsism .

There’s a major difference. One is saying reality is consciousness, I’m saying: I posses consciousness, I am conscious of myself (subject) and of other (object). Consciousness having no attributes, it seems to exist because there’s a subject and object (duality).

Here there’s a difference in how people define consciousness too. I use it in a dual sense “subject and object”. Some, like you it seems, use it to describe all of reality.

But if we define it like that, why even use the word solipsism then? It becomes useless. Why not only say “there’s only everything, there only oneness”. To say the higher and lower self is not really separated, is another way of saying there’s no separation, meaning the lower self doesn’t actually exist. This is the part I don’t believe. This is how I think of solipsism. Maybe ego is just an appearance. Like how a stone is a form. So it’s all absolute yes.

I’m confused about what people define as solipsism. Because i don’t see how having higher consciousness would make you realize “you’re the only experiencer”. They must have a different definition than us

It seems people define solipsism differently. I think of it like when people believe they are the only self conscious being and others lack self consciousness. It doesn’t seem to apply to what you said. Because I’m not talking about realizing “you are everything that exists”. But I guess your point is that this human form, the body and brain, creates such a complex self structure, and it just makes sense to us that we exist, everything seems to suggest it, so makes it harder to break the illusion

At the end of the day, most people feel real. And they feel like others are real. And for most it stays like this throughout their whole life. And that’s what matters. Whether you are actually real or not, illusion or not, whether you believe in solipsism or not. Those things don’t really matter because they’re just ideas for you. It doesn’t change the fact that you feel real and you feel others are real. Now if you could actually change that sense of realness, maybe get a glimpse of non duality, then we are talking, then those things are no longer just concepts. See. Direct experience is what matters. Not what ideas you hold. So take it with a light heart when you’re playing around with these ideas, and be honest with yourself when it’s just ideas vs when your actual experience is starting to change. Sometimes maybe questioning things can alter your experience, then that’s what matters, how your experience changed. If it’s just on mind level it makes no real difference. Why freak out over a concept in your mind like solipsism when you still feel like others are real? See, it most likely didn’t change anything. Your reality remained the same.

I don’t know how you guys define solipsism. But to me that is if you believe you’re the only conscious experience. So that’s what I meant. I don’t know if you could “awaken” to that, then it means it must be true . But I don’t believe it’s true so I don’t believe you can awaken to it. That’s why I wrote “believe”. I get your point. I have developed a kind of opposite mindset of, “oh I’ll just do it in my next reincarnation, I have infinite reincarnation’s so I have a lot of time to do things”😂😂😂😂😂jk i don’t hold that mindset
