  1. @Magnanimous Have you done it? What are the methods?
  2. I'm 20M and healthy. I regularly lift weights. My diet is overall pretty good. I'm flat-footed and apparently I had shin pains as a child, which lead to me being given insoles that were supposed to correct my flat footedness. I had worn insoles in my shoes for years until a few months ago. The reason I stopped is that I still got pain, specifically in my left foot. I decided that these insoles are useless so I've not been wearing them. It is a very peculiar kind of pain: Happens every few days My left foot and shin start hurting when I step on it, causing me to limp The pain starts randomly (for no apparent reason), and simply goes away after 5-10 minutes I've found that stepping on the ball of my left foot amplifies the pain, but not if I extend (bring up) my toes. So what can I do about this pain? Should I keep wearing the insoles? I do feel like the pain has become more frequent after a few months of not wearing. Ultimately though I do want a better solution than the insoles, because I still got this exact pain while wearing them anyway.
  3. I had started doing Kriya yoga daily for around 2-3 months, but ultimately ended up quitting / taking a break from it. The main reason for this was that the breathing practices caused me too much strain and discomfort. My tipping point was that Maha mudra was literally impossible for me to do without intense strain. Besides Maha mudra, it's not like I felt the practices were damaging my body or that the discomfort was super intense; moreso that it was subtle but there enough that it totally distracted me from the meditative results that these practices aim for. The main source of discomfort with breathing practices was that I constantly felt like there wasn't enough oxygen in my lungs. Take spinal breathing for instance, also known as First Part of Kriya Pranayama. The instructions tell you to breath in for a whopping 10 to 20 seconds, hold for 2-3 seconds, and then exhale for the same duration as the inhalation. How is a 40 second breath even possible without feeling like shit? It's just such a slow breath. I always tried the lower end of the given range (so roughly a 20 second breath), but even this caused me too much of the "out of breath" feeling. One possibility is that I wasn't putting in enough effort into the breath, i.e. not really fully filling up my lungs. But the reason I wasn't doing that is that this in and of itself is also straining in my opinion. However if you guys say this is probably the reason then I'll stop being lazy with my breathing. So my question is, is this actually normal? Otherwise, what should I do to make breathing practices more physically comfortable?
  4. https://youtu.be/Qe5RmpYPT08 This channel is honestly hilarious.
  5. @Leo Gura What would be an example of this? Of course you could use AI to enhance the user experience of anything, but I'm curious to know what kind of ideas you had in mind for games. Seeing as you're a game dev and all!
  6. LMAO, all of them except like three... spot on!
  7. Send some profound talks and lectures my way! Which spiritual videos on YouTube have moved you the most beside Actualized.org?
  8. @Michael569 Hasn't the whole 'saturated fats are bad' thing been debunked? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20071648/ "Conclusions: A meta-analysis of prospective epidemiologic studies showed that there is no significant evidence for concluding that dietary saturated fat is associated with an increased risk of CHD or CVD. More data are needed to elucidate whether CVD risks are likely to be influenced by the specific nutrients used to replace saturated fat."
  9. These go for several hundred £ but at the same time I'm kinda curious what kind of results my genetics would give. Their main use case is that they tell you what diseases (e.g. cancers) you're more prone to. At the same time I'm a college kid who albeit isn't broke but does probably have other things he should save his money for. (That sentence really made me call myself "he" twice)
  10. @StarStruck Could you describe a bit what you gained out of these / why you think they're good?
  11. Alcohol (1-2 drinks) is one of them. I'm thinking using some sort of substance could be a good way to get me started. I can wean myself off afterwards.
  12. LOL!!! That dude next to Logan Paul got so triggered at Mike Tyson. He even tries defending the dude next to Tyson, but the dude says he's open. As if the guy couldn't say something himself if he were as triggered as you were.
  13. @OBEler Not really on-topic but how is low testosterone not a justification for taking steroids? Steroids aren't really something to be too concerned about in my opinion. If they benefit your life then they benefit your life. For the vast majority of people, steroids aren't a good option but that doesn't mean it's universally the incorrect choice for everyone.
  14. Just poking a little fun here , but WHENEVER I click on your profile it says you were last here a few minutes ago. You do also seem to reply to a ton of posts. But hey I'm not gonna complain about that.
  15. I decided yesterday that I'd take a tab and a half of LSD today, but I started feeling a sort of existential dread that I knew I'm not ready to face yet. My intention was to face some of my survival oriented fears, especially regarding the opposite sex. It was also to try and get out of this rut that I've been in for a few months now. I feel that I'm not progressing enough in life, and that I'm not taking enough action. But the thing is that I simply cannot bring myself to take action. For example, I've been putting off approaching strangers for months now, even though I have reason to believe it'll improve my social skills and status. I also neglected other survival aspects of my life (e.g. driving license, getting part-time job, summer project for uni), which I was meant to address this summer. I just really feel that I'm in a rut. Thing is my intuition is never for psychedelics. I decide that I want to take psychedelics, but my intuition always tells me I shouldn't. It tells me that an existential fear will come up, that I am not yet ready to face. It's something I need to face after I face survival-oriented fears first. Should I take MDMA instead? Maybe this is a better tool to face social related fears, or maybe even survival related fears in general. Or should I just stick to taking LSD, with the intent of not delving too deep into the existential shit? Apologies if this post is rambly and disorganised.
  16. Sorry this post was written extremely sloppily. I have around 15-20 trips in my belt. It's just that based on my latest trips, which have all been unnecessarily challenging, I feel that psychedelics are making me face existential fears that I'm not ready to face. My options right now are: - Stick to "manual" spiritual practices i.e. meditate for a really fucking long time. - Stick to LSD/psychedelics but at relatively low doses (~1 tab), merely as a supplement for my manual practices. - Still considering MDMA tbh, I actually have some
  17. @Carl-Richard The most based reply here.
  18. Yeah not a bad point at all... Feel like the gun post is a lot more worrying than Leo's hairy ass legs
  19. @Javfly33 Hey dude, I'm trying to figure out the same thing right now. DM me if you find anything useful! Or just post here.
  20. @Thought Art I wouldn't say people are necessarily judging him. It's just that posting almost-naked pictures of yourself is "weird" from a social standpoint.
  21. @NoSelfSelf To be honest, no. I just wanted to throw this post out there because I enjoy interacting with this forum I'm probably gonna stick to drinking very occasionally and very lightly. I've done phenibut a couple times, it was nice but it's kind of stopped working that well for me. I start feeling the comedown effects as soon as the drug hits me... so during the comeup. Facepalm. Oh well, all it did was make me way more talkative, but not necessarily in a good way. It kind of makes me not give a shit about social cues, to the point where I didn't notice that someone was making eye contact with me. One thing I'm definitely gonna try is LSD microdosing though. It seems that psychedelics can decrease the amount of overall "judgement" you're storing in your mind, both you of others and others of you. I also realised that I should look into MDMA for therapeutic purposes.
  22. Yeah... the naked pictures, the hyper-emotional writing and the spelling mistakes he's been making (highlighted)... very strange. He even made a slight error in one of his titles for the Actualized clips channel. Someone on his insta pointed out this could be concentration problems, so hopefully this isn't related to Leo's chronic illness.
  23. @Danioover9000 Uh, what the hell is "help from your nervous system"? I don't think what you've said here has any scientific basis. As far as I know the nervous system is simply what engages the muscle. It's still the muscle doing all of the work, even if there's "help" from the nervous system. Fatiguing your nervous system will make you weaker, i.e. less able to push your muscles to their limits (i.e. near/at true failure). This will lead to less growth.
  24. I have 2C-B in pilled form. Is it viable to crush it up into a powder and plug that?
  25. Weight training is in general easier than calisthenics. For one, it's way easier to progressively overload on weight training. Once you're able to get, say, 15 reps of a calisthenics movement, you're not really gonna be able to overload much more from a hypertrophy or strength standpoint. Weight-training on the other hand is ridiculously conducive to overload, needless to say. I think another issue with calisthenics is that some movements might be too difficult. I think the main argument for calisthenics would be if you really enjoy it, because some of the movements do seem like a lot of fun.
