  1. I have RLS. (Restless leg syndrome). It got worse because i get it in the arms too now. If you don't know what that is, the limb gets a really weird restless feeling and than the muscles fire suddenly and the limb jerks of it's own doing. When I'm active I don't notice it. But when I relax my body, that's when the trouble starts. Simply sitting watching TV or resting in bed at night is when it starts. So of course that effects meditation too. But I can't overcome it. I try but always give up because it's so relentless. That's my part of the spectrum to someday overcome.
  2. @bflare Do all these same things but in a totally egoless way. This universe gave you a body, a gift. Taking care of it is within the natural flow of the universe. Nurture it as you would a garden with respect for the universe. Find the harmony, the flow, the Tao. Do it not because of the ego or what somebody else had said. Same with helping others with personal development. Do it all in a very selfless way as an act of giving back. All this can be part your practice toward liberation through respect and returning to the natural flow of the Tao.
  3. I was once obsessed with enlightenment. What was I thinking?
  4. A dream dreaming of being awake and realizing it's all just a dream. A dream state perpetuated by thought.
  5. @awareemptiness I use the aware emptiness method of meditation. No pun intended.
  6. @pluto Nicely said! I missed that the first time around.
  7. "My assumption was that you were talking about Naked Reality." I was. My bad... I got the two new guys confused. One is stealing Leo's views, the other his future face.
  8. @Dodoster Lol. I gotta feeling he didn't the way he critiqued everything Leo said. Making himself look higher by putting somebody else down. What a Donald Trump strategy that is.
  9. @LaucherJunge Hi, this sounds a lot like lucid dreaming. I've done it a few times and the images are incredibly vivid and detailed.
  10. @pluto Here's a good one too. If you haven't seen it yet,,,,,
  11. That it's not just understood conceptually but experienced directly. Like sex.
  12. @Denis A saw and hammer alone can't build house. They are only useful tools to help get the job done.
  13. I'd say disidentification first as seeing through the illusion of ego rendering it null and void, than working toward a state of total eradication over time where consciousness becomes crystal clear (enlightenment).
  14. Your saying that the path you follow today is in response to something traumatic that happened in the past, " it got you started hard core" as if it's a vendetta of some kind. Maybe a fresh approach on this would be beneficial. It is a new day, right? You are placing the memory of something on the outside world by association. The fact is your holding these thoughts inside just under the surface. In other words, your mind is looking for every excuse or "trigger" to bring this event back to the surface. It could be happening during sleep too even though you may not recall it. Sweet! Painful memories only have the power you give to them. I don't know what the traumatic event was or how severe, but I will say that 10 months is not that long. Time does heal all wounds -if you allow it. Also, compassion. Compassion for the traumatic event and compassion for all involved starting from within yourself. Have you ever done self enquiry on this? Maybe ask yourself-Why am I angry about this? What exactly about this event makes me angry? Why do I hold on to it? You could totally turn this all around into something positive by using this event as a teaching tool on how to handle similar events in the future. Best of luck to you!
  15. Maybe something in you knows this truth already.
  16. True, any searching will only prove to be futile. When the time is right, it presents itself fully and everything changes. But nothing has really changed at all. Everything becomes a complete picture that's no longer fragmented. We find something that we never realize was missing. The other side of the same coin, so to speak.
  17. @Prabhaker I call it absolute emptiness. Some call it infinity. While true that it's not separate from existence, it is seeing existence from a totally different perspective.
  18. Religious wars are started not because a group sees the truth of their religion, but because they can't.
  19. Yes, I'm glad you quoted this. That seems to be exactly what is seen from afar. It's not pretty sight by any stretch of the imagination. But it is what it is.
  20. When we can see all of existence happening from a place far removed from it, only than does the truth reveal itself.
