  1. "it is as futile as trying to assist an airliner off the ground by pulling on your seatbelt. Allen Watts
  2. Everything happens in the absence of doing.. What better place to hide it!
  3. Those magic moments where everything comes into total synchronization. You can feel awareness shift into perfect alignment with the true nature of everything.. Total completeness. The beauty of it is is that it is always accessible and takes no effort. The sun came out from behind a cloud and lit the room. I see no effort there.
  4. @Dodo It may be even simpler than that. I remember times when I was young that suddenly everything was happening in this moment of now. There wasn't a yesterday or tomorrow or anything else. There was only this very moment that contained everything. It was effortless because I was a child.
  5. Seeking is a duality in itself. It infers another time, another place. The search for something missing that needs to be gained. It should really be called "losing" rather than seeking. It's more about losing something than finding something. When the ego is lost, all that remains is what is. Which is everything.
  6. @WaterfallMachine Nice! Sounds like you had a non-dual experience. I experienced something very similar too. It was as if I became aware of the collective consciousness of the entire planet. It was total love, acceptance and mostly compassion for the planet and all it's inhabitance. I was seeing the good, the bad, the suffering, the joy and accepting it all as being one planetary entity instead of fragmented parts. It happened again but this time it was the entirety of the universe. I was looking up at a deep blue sky with white clouds floating by one day. And I realized that just behind the blue sky with puffy clouds was the entirety of the universe. And something connected with that and it was as if the universe suddenly came out of the sky poured into me and consumed me.
  7. @username Watching this video woke me out of my spell of self delusion. It was my first experience of no-self after many years of following the path and getting nowhere. It will work like 5meo-dmt, if you let it ( well almost). The first 5 times I watched it nothing happened because I wasn't willing to let go and directly experience what Leo was saying.. But when I finally surrendered, boom! All I can say is, Thank You Leo for your radical openness!
  8. No, I just took the sugar coating off it. That is the reason I spent years spinning my wheels. Everything I had read about enlightenment was so sugar coated that it got me nowhere. This is not about farting rainbows.
  9. @Martin123 I understand exactly what username is experiencing. I went through the same for years and it was like being suspended in limbo. There is nothing fun about that at all. Finally one day I through total desperation I went for broke and everything became perfectly clear. So it is with great compassion that I say what I said.
  10. I agree with @Martin123 . You need to let go of EVERYTHING that is you. Everything since the day you were born. You gotta go WAY beyond your comfort zone. It's a total surrender of the most precious thing you own, the self. Even the seeker is an illusion. This needs to be confronted head on. Do that over and over until the truth breaks wide open..
  11. I feel that any answer that satisfies the mind is not the answer. and it is the process of contemplation on a koan that is often more valuable than the actual answer.
  12. @Nahm I was contemplating that one. Oh well haha I'll find another.
  13. @electroBeam That's cheating ! Seriously though, lots of koans don't have an answer to them. They are meant to break the mind that needs to find a logical answer to every question. The mind goes round and round in circles until finally it exhausts itself and gives up. At that point the master can start the true teaching because the student's mind has turned to tapioca. My answer would be; "A wise man buys Duracell Batteries because he knows an emergency can always strike". But I could be way off on that one!
  14. There is something happening here that is not happening. If you try to look for it with your eyes, you can't see it. If you listen for it with your ears, you can't hear it. If you try to understand it with your mind, it will never make sense. But it's always right here.
  15. The greatest truth to realize is there are no truths.
  16. @Dan Arnautu Look at it this way Dan. When you play a song on your guitar, it's not only the audible notes that make the song, but the silence between the notes. And a silence put at the right moment can be very powerful in itself. Silence is like a canvas that you paint a picture on through music notes. Silence/stillness/nothingness is always around us. Nothing could exist without it, including a beautiful song.. BTW- I picked up a 3 string fretless cigar box. Tons of fun!
  17. @Natasha This is one of my favorite Mooji satsangs. Jesus is not seen as "Other". "This is an unshared space. For it to be shared, there would have to be two. Here there is not even one" How powerful is that! The problem I have with Christianity is that Jesus and God are viewed as "other".
  18. If a person was truly enlightened, who would remain to know that the ego never existed?
  19. @bobbyward Always good to hear from you. Wise words!
  20. @abrakamowse I think of it this way, when we attach "knowing" to conscionesness than it becomes an aggregate also. All aggregates arise mutually within the known = "lower-self" consciousness. Higher consciousness is pure consciousness, beyond the knower that creates aggregates. Self is like a leach clinging to consciousness.
