  1. @LiakosN Someday the mind will awaken from the dream of self it created just as it awakens from a dream in sleep.
  2. @LiakosN Mind is illusion-Maya. What is beyond mind is what is ultimately aware of all that happens within mind. Nothing wrong with mind as a tool to navigate within the illusion of space/time reality. But it's not real. The proof is it's beginning and ending just like a dream. If the mind knew what it doesn't want to know it would instantly annihilate. So it stays firmly couched in it's foundation of physical reality and holds tight to it.
  3. @Hamilcar Beat you to it. I call it "Potty Samadhi" All joking aside maybe it's not enlightenment but a glimpse of no-self for sure. In my case there is a mirror over a sink opposite the toilet instead of a door. Makes for a good place to do some mirror gazing/self inquiry. For instance I'll ask "who is this seeing his reflection in the mirror?" Have you every tried mirror gazing? (toilet optional) It's powerful stuff.
  4. Yes. Crystalline- perfect clarity beyond all "states" of awareness. The absolute.
  5. @Nondescript This is where Christianity and nonduality meet. "This is not a shared space. For it to be shared there would have to be two. Here there is not even one"
  6. @Torkys "When you meditate it opens you up to demonic influances that cause you to feel rage". . Contemplate that statement. What does it really say?
  7. @Genghis Khan And all the partitions came crumbling down. Happy for ya!
  8. In Hinduisim it's known as Potti Samadhi
  9. @okulele This could also be a factor. Highway hypnosis, also known as white line fever, first described in a 1921 article that mentioned the phenomenon of "road hypnotism": driving in a trance-like state while gazing at a fixed point.
  10. Change the way you look at things and the things you look at will change
  11. @Outer How'd you know I was thinking about the parabrahaman even though I didn't mention it?
  12. @OuterThis is one of the subjects where if you ask 50 ppl you'll get 50 different views. We could throw the word "conscious" or consciousness into the mix too just to make it really complicated. Perception vs awareness vs consciousness. I'll read the link you posted.
  13. @Outer Have you never experianced perfectly empty awareness where even the perceiver was gone?
  14. That's how I perceive it to be. I should add that "true self" and "mine" are all objects of perception. But yes awareness is "no object".
  15. @Ingit Perception needs a perceiver. Awareness extends beyond perceivables and conceivables. in other words perception needs an object to be perceived. Awareness doesn't. It can be perfectly empty.
  16. The greatest gift one can give themself is the freedom to move beyond the self. '
  17. @Nahm Ain't that the truth "That's it, the last time you'll look like today. 'Cause ripples never come back"
  18. @Nahm "Oh why don't you come out- whoever you are. You've followed me quite long enough"
