I've seen many people comment on how AI is theft because it is being trained on all the content created by people without paying them. But isn't that exactly what people do as well? We watch videos, do courses, read books, blogs, etc. And then produce our own stuff based on all the information we've learned. Nobody is expecting you to pay royalties to all the book authors, whose books you've read, after you write your own book, right? As long as the final result is different enough to not fall under the regular copyright / plagiarism laws, then what is the issue?

There are millions of videos online with actual, real life fights and self defense situations breaking out. There are cameras everywhere. Not in one of them do you see people getting subdued with some mysterious, esoteric martial art.

He could make it a challenge for himself to come there, tell the most outlandish bullshit ever, and see how far he could push it with people still believing him. Just for the sake of entertainment. And you would have no idea because he is so good at acting.

Yeah, you can add all the bullshido masters to the same category. Somehow it only ever happens based on hearsay or during their own demostrations with their own students. Never, in 100 years of filmmaking, a single definite proof was able to be recorded. Never, in the 30 years of the UFC's existence, did a single one of those mysterious martial artists show up and threw people around with their Chi or whatever. There are, however, plenty videos of those masters getting embarassed when somebody who isn't "IN" on their demonstration shows up. But I guess participating in an actual fight, or giving a real demonstration, with independent 3rd party observers would be an ego thing. That's beneath them. Turning their special powers into a business and milking them for money is fine however... In that same interview he said that his friends got cured from cancer with ivermectin and a fabric dye. He is also a trump supporter. I hope you can see why I find him sketchy. Also, him being an actor should make you more cautious, not less. Since, you know... he is really good at acting, and by extensions, saying whatever he wants in a super believable way. Just look at the clip you've attached. Listen to his intonations, looks at his facial expressions, they are so sweet and reassuring. I just want to believe everything he tells me just by looking at him for one minute. And to expand on my point about sketchy people. The one time I've heard someone talk about seeing levitating yogis in real life was from my dad's friend, who is a cheater, a shady businessman, and a person with low integrity overall. Color me surprised.

What do you do if notion decides to shut down in 10 years? Or change their free / paid plans messing up how much data you can use? At least obsidian is open source. I've tried using it, but then stopped after a while. I don't remember what i didn't like about it though, I think it was how it sorts the notes and folders, and also how it embeds images and other attachments. But I might give it another try. It's just that none of them seems to truly fit me. With one note, for example, I would have to use wine or a virtual machine if I wanted to run it on linux, which doesn't seem sustainable for the long term usage. And I really want to switch to linux. If there was a native app, I would probably use one note, because it seems great overall. You can create links to other files and docs in the word document, as well as anchor links and bookmarks. Finder on mac os also has tags and a pretty decent search function, I assume it's the same on linux, not sure about windows.

That's my point, you don't have to be the shit. You can be a random bum. There are people who are into all kinds of weird and disgusting things, so surely there are some people who will be into you, no matter who you are.
