  1. @PenguinPablo Didnt know Steve Jobs had ADHD. Thats so cool. I know his LSD story where he found that life is about creating beautiful things which inspired him for his apple products which I always found very inspiring. Would like to trip like Steve Jobs but I am too emotionally unstable atm no chance.
  2. I am being serious. Please express your concerns.
  3. I am very interested in it too. It's definitely not too far from my LP. I haven't finished the LP course yet but I already wrote down "releasing people from existential pressure" as that resonates the most with me so far. I once had a moment where I deeply needed a philosophical counseling. I was hurt and in a deep existential crisis about the meaning of the world. I somehow figured out that there is duality in reality but didnt know what to do with that because I had a very very limited understanding of it but also couldn't let it go. I made a very pessimistic meaning out of that that reality is pointless and all that because everything we achieve will let something else look bad. Or not? And what was the meaning of anything when we would all ultimately die? I was lonely and confused and unaware of that and needed some higher understanding/ meaning to make sense of everything. Whenever I was at my lowest point and fell into a short moment of despair my intuition gave me a short signal. A little fragment of a higher consciousness of love and peace beyond duality. That was the realest thing in my experience and it was my North Star which I pursued which let me to Alan Watts and Leo later. Gosh I wish I could describe it more poetically as that really was a confrontation and war with the universe at the core. So in my desperation I reached out to some philosophical dude on YouTube describing my situation and asking him for help as he seems like the only person I knew who could get what I am saying and help me. After a few people called me a lunatic and my argumentation a dunning Kruger case in the comment section he replied that he thinks my points are all very deep and important and he also asked me what I needed to get better. This was a very important point in my life I just needed that little help where seemingly nobody in the world could help me with. Only then did I realize that you tend to care about the meaning of life when life is shit because you need a justification for continue living. And that to a certain degree humans aren't that complicated. Humans have basic needs beyond your conscious control and if you dont satisfy them you are unhappy. He couldnt help me with finding higher truths but I gained enough of a stepping stone. First meeting my basic needs spirituality after that.
  4. While the details are all different it's a good general analogy so I would mostly agree. I would doubt that strongly. There are things in reality that you cant change by changing your awareness about it. Like you cant hit through a wall when you try to imagine hitting through a wall. There is a hard structure/ rules of reality that you cant dissolve with consciousness training. And the thing is you and your psychology are also made out of that hard structure of reality so this gives you limits. So even though you could theoretically interpret erotical things into a toaster for example I think practically your mind is too limited to allow you that but it's certainly very stretchable.
  5. ADHD awareness really isnt as straight forward: ADHD brains are aware of a lot of reality at once which means they aren't aware of anything deeply because awareness is finite. Unless they are very interested in something then there awareness is only on that thing and nothing else also because of finite awareness. So a mixture of high quantity low quality awareness and high quality low quantity awareness. Like a biconcave object.
  6. Haha I have ADHD and I would love to be genetically more conscious of course so yeah I am biased. But I try to be aware of my bias to come to truthful conclusions. I listened to Daniel Schmachtenberger and how there are less dreamy and peaceful people left in the world cause of evolution and I thought that people with inattentive type of ADHD might be the people who survived that. But making this connection is pretty much a guess. Yes there might be some overlap but that doesnt mean there is causality.
  7. Or if it's something emotional. Everything where your attention would usually rises it hyper rises with ADHD. And if that's not the case the attention is unregulated and splitted into all directions.
  8. Just started taking ADHD medications again and it's hard to live without them already. I mean life were hard without the meds so.. Well it's probably likely that you get a lot done on the day you take the drug? So maybe intentionally built in a rest day in between where you only do light work if any.
  9. I started taking ADHD medications again so I can kind of compare the states. On meds you change psychologically a lot. Like you really enter another form experience. The new experience becomes a lot less profound but a lot more manageable. Like you can get shit done finally which really frees your mind up and makes you more conscious in the sense that there is less stuff pulling away from being conscious. But if my ADHD brain could naturally be supported like with trusting emotional support and a life that is designed to be ADHD manageable I think I would be way more conscious with ADHD.
  10. This video of Schopenhauer really made me aware of an idea I had about navigating the world because it is analogous to Schopenhauers its simply in a different domain. I always had a very high moral development and because of that got easily abused. What I did was that I consciously integrated the appearance of an immoral person in my persona so that I could get along. No sane actually immoral person would do that because it usually gets disadvantages. But for me I wouldnt get abused as easily because people thought I wasn't moral but because it was more of a persona the people that really cared would see through the disguise and find their way to me. And it worked. I had forgotten though that I even integrated these mechanism into my psyche but now I understand why I did that. If you are more developed in spiral dynamics than your environment then it might be a good strategy to act less developed then you are on the surface. On the cognitive level it could mean acting like a fool, on the moral front it could mean acting like an asshole. Of course integrating that effectively takes a lot nuanced thinking. You dont want to actually be an immoral person or an idiot and you dont want to harvest the downsides of that appearance too much. So it's also about integrating hints so the right people can see through the disguise.
  11. If a girl asks you "does my ass look fat?" how does one reply without falling for a trap? I feel as though it would be of great importance to collect a list of possible responses so we are all well prepared if such a situation would come about. My best response so far would be: "Yes but in a good way." // 6/10
  12. Immature superhero. (Another Dalton-like idea 5) A Superhero who gets away with exactly the things mature people talk him out of. Imagine how much damage it would create if such a superhero would be popular for kids. Well we got some very immature role models nowadays so I thought this picture could describe some of that in humoristic fashion.
  13. I appreciate that you recognize the seriousness of the topic at hand.
  14. Ice cold wind in winter which makes me feel alive. Infinite snowflakes falling from the sky. A soul connecting to another soul through the eyes.
  15. I don't know enough about modafinil or the vegan diet to answer such an advanced question. You can try a vegan diet for yourself and see if it personally gives you more mental clarity and then modafinil will probably add something on top of that. What are you looking for exactly? Like do you have a health condition or something and are looking for a solution?
  16. Bad selection of people to ask except Michael. @Schizophonia is an emotional anti vegan who likes to trigger. Leo relies mostly on meat because of his gut issues. Michael is the nutrition expert here. Anecdotally I was vegan for 3 years myself and didnt experience this super mental clarity. When I reintroduced vegetarian animal products I didnt experience a drop or increase in mental clarity either.
  17. Yeah I thought about that too. But even if Peterson would be open to the possibility that higher truths can be experienced through psychedelics which it seems like - I saw a clip on Youtube - it's not certain that Leos experience was interpreted in the right way and Leos claims are so outrageous on top of that. And Leo doesnt really have an intellectual reputation which would be especially important in a conversation like this to make Leo seem a little more grounded. But also JP seems to be a serious thinker in certain aspects and he seems to have a soft spot for God which he needed to surpress to a large extend because of his intellectual persona. I think it's very hard to judge whether or not this conversation will be good.
  18. I would be very interested to see Leo in a political debate as well because 1) Leos takes on the forum seem very intelligent (to me) I cant really critique them or see beyond them most of the time so I would like to see how strong they are in a debate situation 2) it makes Leo seem very grounded which would make the spiritual/ god part of the conversation seem more sophisticated for the average viewer. But I see how that can be counterproductive and a bad opportunity cost.
  19. YESSS!! Keep us updated!
  20. Although I really liked him back in the day I needed to think about that for some time because its some time since I watched him and I inhaled all the criticism I saw about him on the forum. But I have got some points: - The way JP explains concepts of psychology through archetypes is epic and simple. - He helps to integrate stage blue values - JP to some extend is a very nuanced stage yellow thinker and this is not very common. I have listened to his takes on feminism back in the day and was amazed by his nuanced thinking where he crushed stage green opponents who couldn't think in that sort of detail. Not sure if I would agree with all of his takes nowadays but they were certainly sophisticated. Sucks that he has a stage green shadow and (because of) that his political takes are so bad as I think there is much potential in JP.
  21. It's a spectrum. But I think making general distinctions makes sense.
  22. @Someone here I missed this kinds of threads. Seems a little extreme. Like you are on one extreme now with your strong horniness and avoiding foreplay and all that and now you want to go to tantric sex. Not sure if that's gonna work out for you like you may need some steps in between. Hmm when I learned about how to do foreplay right and the effect it has on girls I built quite an ego around that and the sex that I have now is always very long. Like you can be so creative in your foreplay so it's very fun if you like improvising.
  23. @spectra didnt work for me haha I needed to get louder. I think you need a base of respect for that to work. You are in your second year also so they know you better it gets easier then.
  24. Sex at the metaphysical level: An Instagram post from Desiree Nicks Playboy shoot. She is the oldest German Playboy with an age of 66 (while shooting). I won't show any pictures of her here that's not what this post is about. What interests me is her developed understanding of sexuality at this age. And this post of her particularly struck me. It's often said that metaphysically the reason why sex feels so good is because it's the process of two opposite parts coming together and becoming whole. And that feels good because the universe wants to be itself/ united. Well doesn't this picture capture that just perfectly?
