  1. From what I read its 1k. After the gym owner didnt pay it the trans person claims 5k + 2.5k compensation. The question is did the gym owner anything wrong by banning the trans person from the gym? There are some interviews with the gym owner. She said that her female clients felt uncomfortable and intimidated with the trans person so she banned her for the well being of her clients. Hard to find the line between transphobia and not.
  2. @mojsterr Idk But I think Kamala doenst have that much natural charisma which is why they make the most out of it.
  3. I am happy for you!
  4. A lot of humbleness and wisdom of what's important in life. At least green.
  5. Interesting would like to see that clip. That behavior is quite normal though you really need to built a connection to your role so distraction isnt good. I did a bit of amateur acting myself. When I think of actors who got spiritual through their profession I think of Jim Carrey. There is a lot of content of him out there. Once he said that basically after playing a role he wondered who he himself was and then got to the thought that when he can change himself like that maybe he himself is an illusion. And a lot of other spriritual and semi spiritual stuff. I wonder if acting itself does anything to that (like is changing your ego all the time a spiritual practice) or if it's just that actors are usually more open minded and when a few of them reach spiritual insights they get a lot of attention.
  6. Very interesting question! I have got a few unsorted thoughts on it. 1) Being stage yellow means understanding all the stages below but not falling for them. In many movies the people and especially the bad guy are depicted from a stage blue, orange, green perspective. Like the bad guy is just born bad lolz (blue), or other people are just more lazy (orange) or the bad guy is just a power hungry asshole looking for nothing but making money (green). Very partial understanding which demonizes these perspectives. So for the role a stage yellow understanding is often not required or even counterproductive imo. 2) I dont know if it is necessary for the craft of acting itself to have a stage yellow understanding of things. You DO need to find some kind of authentic access to the role. So the question is can you fill out the role so that you get natural impulses and stuff without actually understanding the role or do you have to understand the role. And if the last is true does that mean you are actually at stage yellow or just stage yellow at this particular thing or even not yellow but able to imitate a stage yellow understanding through technique?
  7. She says a lot she simple isnt a natural at selling it. The opposite of trump. Every president has a close support team obviously so it's never just them. I mean there are some things solid enough to endure backlash and steadily force themselves through all of society. The acceptance of gay people is something solid like that which can eventually even reach conservatives. Here in Germany there are even gay politicians in the right parties.
  8. I like seeing society as one big intelligence with different facets. But I think that conservatism plays a role not only in a situational panic break when it is most noticeable but all the time to a lesser extend as well. Society moves at a reasonable rate because liberals have new ideas which they want to fulfill and conservatives hold on to stuff that has been working and only will accept new stuff if it has been working for some time.
  9. For me it seems like Kamala just isnt a natural at being charismatic plus she isnt as fake. Which explains why she isnt acting euphoric about every achievement. That lack of charisma is a real problem for popularity but not for politics per se.
  10. Humans genius potential Some people in my life often got me to contemplate which areas in life take the most intelligence to comprehend. For example you could be very mathematically intelligent and have a huge bias towards that so that you order peoples general intelligence just after mathematical intelligence. Now this thought just struck me. First I always had the feeling that each area in life had their own types of geniuses, from Albert Einstein in physics, to Mozart in music or Freud in Psychology. All of them were geniuses in their own regard and I always felt like they were comparable in a certain way. Like they all had this genius quality to them which simply manifested itself through a different kind of medium. And so - What if we just took it as a high probability that in all areas of life there are incredible brains and the limits of different areas of expertise are the limits of our great brains. I mean that’s how it has to be when people try their best in each area. Even if an area is "simpler“. Well then that means that you can go even deeper in that area which means that eventually it will be just as hard as a "harder“ area of expertise because you won’t get as deep into it.
  11. No, I cant comprehend 1d because I would need to filter out way too much. I automatically see 3d without doing anything (unless I am in a very special place which is designed so my brain cant comprehend 3d which might be possible). But in general I dont need conceptual knowledge to grasp 3d just like an ape doesnt know about dimensions and he still manages to see in 3d. I think we can only imagine how it's like to see in lower dimensions but I dont think we can actually do it.
  12. hmm idk I think dimension is a concept yes but seeing in 3d might just be direct experience because thats how humans experience reality. You dont need to learn about 3d or even know what it is to see in 3d.
  13. Of course thoughts have an experienceable quality to them which is direct experience.
  14. In your direct experience you are aware of shapes, colors, sounds, feelings, the experience of thought, sensations, ... none of these things are conceptual. Conceptual knowledge is not direct. Unless it is possible that in a certain conceptual knowledge there is direct experience in it like in a poem or when god would speak through you or something crazy like that.
  15. The phenomenal experience of dull survival Our lives is all about survival, we just aren't conscious of it as much as it is less direct. So coming in contact with "raw" survival triggers certain emotions. This scene of Godzilla swallowing king ghidorah made me remember a moment when a girl spoke about the great genetics of a guy (in a sexual context) as it triggered a very similar consciousness in me this unfiltered raw look at survival. A mix of clearness, rawness, nausea, instinctiveness, pulsation, a certain aliveness, a certain will for power, unholiness and order. I cant really tell what I should make out of this even though I had plenty of time to think about it. 2:00 - 2:30
  16. Nothing will end. Something is nothing. I am actually speaking from direct experience this time whooo 🥳, I actually had the insight that everything even the most hard/ solid things are really nothing.
  17. I dont know. Maybe I know more than I think I know about such things and I am just not aware of my knowledge because it is too obvious to me. But it's true that I sucpect highly that I cant know that and you are most definitely right that I logically cant tell that. Yeah when you become aware how you dont know such core things about reality it really puts into question the validity of the "truths" you think you know as they arise from those basic core things you have no clue about.
  18. @Someone here thats true. Things/ objects in reality cant really be known and are a mystery right?
  19. Legendary. I guess there is nothing to worry about then.
  20. I always wonder in which way these people might see aspects of reality which are hidden from me. Like one can say that all these fictional characters are just fantasy but for one they were created by real humans and their fantasy had to be enriched by some real world experiences to come up with these ideas. (When you think that the mind is a blank paper at birth which is very debatable but probably at least reductionistically true or partially true) And second these fantasy figures have a real effect on people in society. They inspire and influence our real world behavior. So they do live with us in some real way. Someone could simply be so conscious of these aspects of reality so much that they cant stand the explanation that this is just fantasy so they find some way to integrate this into "real world reality". This is a a very famous article in the newspaper in which the author explained an 8 year old girl how Santa Claus is real and it points to some incredibly profound truths.: https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/yes-virginia-there-is-a-santa-claus-1897/ Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished. Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world. You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding. No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.
  21. Haven't heard of this before. Amazing in how deep of a fantasy one can dive into.
  22. Hmm maybe. Our psyche has evolved a lot as well. Certain things trigger parts of your brain which cant just be let go of with deconditioning which is why psychological strategies can be abused like algorithms, sex sells, .. Yes but I cant stop being attracted to her. I can only decide how I am going about it. I couldnt decide being attracted to someone who would be a good fit for me. To get back to the topic I would love to be bi and I would love to like mushrooms because they smell so good when cooked in a pan. But when I dont like it I dont like it and there is no way I can talk myself into it.
  23. Well you cant really take psychedelic states of consciousness and say that sober reality will also be like that. We disagree to which degree you are able to free yourself from conditioning. You say with lots of effort you can basically do everything like getting horny for a ceiling I say our psyche can only be reconditioned to a certain degree and at some point will hit a wall so some things are not possible imo. Haha I just developed feelings for a girl I find really attractive. It's been some time actually since I developed romantic feelings for someone and in her case it's only because of looks. I know full well that she wouldnt be a good romantic partners. So much for my ability to be in conscious control.
  24. Buffed butterfly (Another Dalton-like idea 6) Butterfly gymrat. Full of muscles, is very insecure and feels easily attacked. When it feels attacked it will knock your ass out.
