I see how you might interpret it literally. From what I heard Jordan Peterson is a naturally agreeable guy who had to force himself to be disagreeable. Maybe he needed this kinds of powerful words to make this inner change and then thought this message would be as valueable to everybody in society as it was to him. Unaware that people take it differently because of lack of construct awareness. ??♂️ You want to connect your message with emotions and pictures that you can grasp. That’s what makes it understandable otherwise it’s just boring empty words. I don’t mean flashy in a way that it makes his message as click baity as possible for the cost of truth. Could you provide an example? Because nothing else makes sense.

@Loba Thanks for sharing. I will look into these yt channels for sure! -
I rewatched one of Leos older videos where he talks about the possibility of the possibility that you could encounter an alien as a mystical experience while tripping. I am super curious if anyone had any encounters and could share how they looked and acted like. I had a short encounter ones on truffles. I am not sure if it was only my imagination or actually real. Of course everything is imagination but it only "kind of felt real“ and not "oh shit this has to be real.“ Anyways here is how it was: It had a similar shape to an owl but it’s body was basically made out of insect material. Also where it’s head was were no eyes but only very very thin layers of transparent insect skin. (somewhat similar to the wings of the dragonfly). Like at least a couple hundred of them. And each layer had a slightly different coloring. That alien creature could move these layers. It could put them on and off. Each layer. And because there were so many of them it could create an almost infinite amount of slightly different colours. So it constantly changed its colours in its "face“. It almost felt kind of hypnotic but also really pretty. It felt like it wanted to communicate with me in that way. Of course I didn’t understand a thing. Would be cool to have an alien buddy who you could communicate with.

I don’t think he literally means that you should become a monster. I think he just wants to make it sound flashy and engaging and monster is a good word to bring the message across because a monster in my understanding is used metaphorically to describe someone who doesn’t repress in any way.

I would agree with JP on this point though. Through their upbringing many people surpress their potential for aggression and make themself unable/incompetent to engage in conflict. That creates fear because they are constantly in potential situations they couldnt handle and secondly the surpressed aggression will manifest itself somehow and most of the time in unconscious ways which is way more dangerous then in conscious ways. Martial artist are a great example of what I am talking about. They are super peaceful because they completely integrated their potential for aggression so they don’t have to use it because they know they could handle whatever comes. It’s counter intuitive. And they are in a position where they can control their aggression. If your aggression is surpressed then how can you control it? It has to be made conscious first.

I know a passionate feminist and she told me that healthy feminism is only interested in equality. So even fighting for mens rights is part of healthy feminism. People are always opportunistic. Meaning when they get power they try to abuse it. Just look at what we are doing to our environment. Naturally reality will teach a lesson so we have to adapt and that’s also true to unhealthy feminism which won’t survive.

That’s a good idea although it’s kind of sad to miss the peak where you could access the deepest insights with mdma.

It’s my egoic survival reaction and my ignorance which interprets other peoples egoic and self centered love as bad intentions. Or it’s a survival mechanism for my ego to keep me "grounded.“ I contemplated on truffles how I would feel if everything were perfect and nothing were to do. My ego would rather die then experience that, it’s so scary ? But I am not enlightened goddamit, it’s real to me! So as long as I am dreaming I have to find solutions in the dream. -
I heard that they aren’t as bad as once thought. But if I eat the same food all the time and so always consume the exact same anti nutrient, will that not be bad for me?
-
That I won’t reach any great mystical experiences because they are either bs or that I am to afraid to access them.

Expecting to understand everything in philosophy is probably the wrong approach. ? I studied philosophy for 3 semester now and only got a very short look into these two. Hopefully I can avoid Heidegger altogether although it would also feel powerful if I managed to make sense of him.

Then taking a hero dose is a pretty dumb idea imo especially with lsd because it lasts so long. How many trips have you done in general? Have you worked with smaller doses to specifically target your mental issues? Also idk if mdma can help you with every bad trip. I just heard it could help but I never tried it and I dont want to be responisble if you end up with a bad trip. I get your frustration. I mean I am in a similar situation to yours but imagine you get a traumatizing bad trip and never do psychedelics again. This process cant be rushed.

Dont understand me wrong these little clips can be a great inspiration themself or a Motivation to dive deeper into philosophy but they give the illusion that the whole philosophy of a philospoher can be summarized and understood like that. You dont really get a sense of what a philosopher is really about until you read the original texts.

@StarStruck For how long have you been stuck ?

@Someone here Did you ever go to therapy ? Sometimes when we are hurt and that hurt is surpressed very very deeply and we have no chance of accessing it it feels so intangible and so we think we can only find a "cosmic solution“ or something that would explain and make sense of that suffering that we can’t solve. But maybe it’s a lot more tangible then you think. I got bullied a lot and went with the same approach where I wanted to find a solution "out there“. The last five years made me a lot more of a "real“ person. I let go of a lot of petty bullshit, lots of unnessercary society programmed sources of suffering and I know so much more about what is important right now. So in a sense I am really grateful for that but it didn’t clear me from all the hurtful experiences I made. Psychedelics helped me to get in touch more with my feelings and I am also starting therapy soon. That’s just my take on it, do with it what you want. -
@ShardMare Yeah you can eat many veggies and most fruits raw. You could also consider buying an instant pot. Just put a bunch of healthy shit in there like legumes, whole grains, frozen veggies, .. and then you just have to press a button and it does the job for you. Haha that’s how I solved it I hate cooking as well.

I can think of two potential problems: 1) A variety of foods gives you much higher chances that you hit all of your nutrients because most single foods don’t have the whole spectrum. Even a single vitamin that is missing could mess you up. 2) Some foods, especially plant foods have anti nutrients. These are generally healthy to consume in small amounts but if you hammer in the same food every day you would consume exactly the same anti nutrient every day which would harm your body. Why would you want to eat the same thing anyway ? lol what’s wrong with peanut butter? It’s just mashed peanuts.

Depends on how you look at it I guess. From a scientific point of view I would say the present is a product of the past, although I am not sure what your quantum physics says about that. From a spiritual point of view this questions doesn’t really make sense if you see the past as something real because it isn’t. But you could say "the past“ is a product of the present because everything is present. -

The theory of quantum physics. Look I don’t know shit about quantum physics but it’s theory and not direct experience. I didn’t make a scientific claim, I just said what’s in your direct experience. -

It’s the spiritual approach Maybe at some point I will be awake enough to see them as illusions when I go about my day but yes right now I hold them as truth. -

The past and future exists as a concept in the present. The Eiffel Tower exists as a concept in your mind. Even the chair you are sitting on only exists as a concept in your mind. You only have shapes, feelings (like hardness) and color as a direct experience. Nothing in your direct experience suggests that you are sitting on a chair. -

If you don’t sozialize you will only live in your own little bubble and you can easily delude yourself in there because your thoughts aren’t confronted with anyone. Society as a whole is very low consciousness yes but their common sense still filters out extremely unhealthy behaviour. I think diet is a good analogy to that. The western diet is pretty garbage yes but there is at least some variety and you won’t find things in there that will directly kill you because that woudnt have survived in society. If you think that you are so much smarter and do your own diet that is completely different you don’t have societies common sense on your back which is almost a guarantee that the diet would at least not kill you. So if we transfer that analogy to our way of thinking you could say that we should always be able to explain our high consciousness thoughts to people in society, if we can’t do that then we might have deluded ourself. -

@Razard86 You are right. -
(The goal is to realize immortality) I contemplated death before. Normally we (most of society) are so afraid of death that we don’t dare to question what death is really directly. So we can only ask that question kind of half aware because asking it fully aware would be too painful. But that’s what I did on magic truffles a while back. Asking directly what death is in this hyper aware state. I discovered that first the fear goes away and second that I have a whole category of ideas of what death is. What death really is for me is something like "cold, cave, metal music, loneliness, darkness, …“ and all kinds of other stuff it’s ridiculous. But I didn’t break through to any awakening. Should I simply continue asking myself what death is until I break through to immortality or is this the wrong approach?

That would be one hell of a jump.
