Yes I agree but at the same time the whole point of a community is to help each other. And it makes sense to put systems in place that encourage people to provide value. Just like some people make more money then others because they provide more value. I want that Bill Gates makes a lot more money then me because in a system where we make the same amount of money he wouldn’t be motivated to create Microsoft so no technology for me. Idk all in all I can’t really weigh the pros and cons in my mind of a thumbs up system. I would have to see it to come to a conclusion.
-
Oh yes I fully agree on that and that that should be the deciding factor for which posts get a thumbs up. I confused it with stage blue politeness. They have to get their thumbs up somehow (by providing value in useful posts). But in each new thread the situation is balanced and new. If you have something good to say you can get thumbs up even if you didn’t get many before. I see that user who are younger and more inexperienced for example simply can’t provide as much value as the more experienced users. I see myself there. But I don’t think that has to be discouraging because you can see how much growth potential there is for you in that case.
-
I think given the values and intelligence of the user on this forum they would give thumbs up for posts that are actually useful and not just nice.
-
Nobody will ever grow that way. Disagreement is good.

I agree that this should be implemented for journals where you can either block everybody or nobody from commenting. But I don’t think it should be an option in threads because you could abuse that to your advantage. For example maybe you have an opinion about a certain topic and you know that user x will disagree with you on that then it might be tempting to block this person from commenting. Everybody can see the topics so if obvious bullying does occure it can get punished.

No, I would only give the option for thumbs up. ?

It’s hard to relate to you sometimes. I can’t make out who you are or from which place you are coming from exactly. 0:46 -
I like the ideas of @blueberries I thought it over and I think some kind of reward system for good posts would help more then it hurts. It could be as simple as being able to give a thumbs up if you liked a post. It gives feedback to the people who make posts which helps them to improve and it gives people who read a thread a better overview. For the people who just want to dick around there could be some options as well like a live chat where quality doenst matter that much.

It’s hard to measure fame in quantity and also quality, like how many hardcore fans do you have compared to just people knowing your name. Then it also depends on how you got your fame because you can get famous in different ways. Being a meme in the internet probably won’t give you as many business opportunities as being a football star because nobody is really looking up to you. And then how you use your fame opportunity is obviously important. You are not rich from being fame, you have to make money with whatever you are doing that makes you famous and maybe also contracts, advertising, entrances, … if you want to further capitalize on that fame.

That doesn’t sound like a microdose, more like double or triple that. I would like to take it in social settings and maybe even work environment. Have you tried smaller doses?

If one wants to make being a spiritual teacher his life purpose. This is the list I came up with so far, maybe you can add or critique something. - knowledge (holistic) about techniques, religions, core concepts, … so he can answer questions for people who come from different backgrounds and got in touch with spirituality through one teacher or one certain technique and the teacher can "class“ that one aspect of spirituality into the broader aspect of spirituality as a whole. - giving comfort for people at the spiritual journey if it’s personal coaching. The teacher knows the mechanics of the ego and can comfort people along the way to process and overcome fear, ego backlash, … - consults people on what makes sense for them to focus on at the time. For example to which extend spirituality should be focused on at the time regarding the life situation and crafting individual plans for people who might not be at the point of their life’s where spirituality is the right thing to focus on but they don’t want to loose it either. - inspiries people to get and follow through on their spiritual journey. - experience with how different methods and techniques transform one’s state of consciousness. For example one of the important question the teacher could answer is how psychedelics help archieve awakening vs how sober spiritual practice helps archieve awakening and how these practices connect (support) with each other. - general self help advice: Yes you are a spiritual teacher but you will most likely meet a lot of broken souls and you need to be able to help them with their problems to a certain extent as well. (Diet, life purpose, dealing with loneliness, getting them to seek professional help if it’s serious… )

I think it’s very likely that our ancestors had physical confrontations between male and female. For food, sex, material, .. whatever. I could see males trying to dominate females but also for example 2 females picking on one male. Yes tribes have to work together but there is still always inner conflict. We are wired to be very opportunistic. If there is an opportunity to get free shit we take it.

Maybe you and another soft girl could fight a small coach potatoe dude. ? You can make everything fair. I think for many it either happens sometime in school or never. I mean you shouldn’t actually fight a dude anyway, that could end badly for you but have you never wrestled with your bf for example? I am mostly the same. But unfortunately that strategy often doesn’t work as a dude if you have chimps all around you.

I had a lot of girls in my childhood that were physically stronger then me and bullied me. One time a girl physically overpowered me, got me on the ground, rode me like a horse while tearing at my hair (she teared out a good chunk) pushed me further on the ground and forced me to eat dirt. So yeah ? My sober "good guy“ ego probably wouldn’t allow myself to recognize that there is a part of me that hates women. I will contemplate on it next time I take psychedelics. But I never verbally shame women, I am always respectful even if I don’t need to be. But generally speaking fighting with each other is fun. Couples wrestle with each other all the time for fun.
-
But it would be two of them. You could make tactics out of it. If the men attacks one of them she can just block while the other one is attacking the men and vice versa. And the women could play the exhaustion game because they probably need less energy to maintain the fight.. Also if it actually turns out that men are just dominating you could simply reduce the allowed size of the men to the point where it is fair.
-
This looks so fun for both parties. Its basically an adrenaline rush for women who have a dangerous boss fight and the men on the other hand has to be super fast and tactical to deal with both of them at the same time.

Would you say it would help with learning mathematics ?

@NoSelfSelf Are you saying that you had mystical experiences and they didn’t do anything for you? -
@John Paul @LordFall Absolutely speaking everybody is acting out of good intentions so of course that also includes Andrew Tate. But relatively speaking… There is a clip where he talks about when he has sex and the women is right before having an orgasm, he tells her about the person he cheated on so the women would connect the pleasurable experience of the orgasm with the message that he cheated on her and would start to enjoy it. „Next time she would become horny if I tell her that I cheated on her.“ That’s the end of the story for me.

I think what is described is the "natural“ state one would archieve if he thought everything through to the end so it’s not bs but maybe unrealistic for our psyche. Similar to facing death. "You can’t change the things outside your control anyway so just focus on the things that you can change and accept the rest bro.“ But maybe these thoughts are pointers to actual mystical experiences. Those would transform you. Even if the peak experience doesn’t last, you probably take the afterglow, healing and intuition of what you have experienced with you. But before that, yeah it’s mostly pretty talk. -

No. If you don’t know what you want, you don’t know who you are. If you accept that you become still, totally open to whatever comes and goes. You won’t feel like that you have to interfere because that an ego having its preferences/seeking control. Everything will just be indifferent but a beautiful kind of indifferent. Love is accepting what is. If you are indifferent to everything you can accept/love everything as it is. -
Yeah that makes sense, thanks!

It’s a clip from YouTube from what I am guessing was a documentation. Unfortunately I can’t find it anymore.

Can you elaborate that thought?

@Kalki Avatar I once had a female friend who was like that. Her joy for life bubbled over constantly. She was pretty close to god. When I compared myself to her, I saw how much I bullshitted myself. I couldn’t really make out who she was because her devil was so small. I was pretty depressed at the time and I didn’t feel like that I deserved her attention. I didn’t feel like I deserved to stand in her light. I probably hurt her because I couldn’t vibe with her. I tried aggressively to push my psyche to her level but I just couldn’t to it. Everybody is on his/her way. People might appreciate you more then they are able to express at the time.
