Yeah thanks for mentioning that. It's very difficult to balance being the boss and showing affection when you have many difficult students. But that is very true. It takes a lot of growth to get there I think.

Thanks yeah that's what I was also thinking as well and that's what many teacher also talked about. It's just that I wish the education system were better. That demand of discipline should come with actually providing lots of value otherwise students will learn that they are kind of worthless. Why else would they be forced to learn things that aren't that important. I still look at this from student lenses. But my class is pretty important at least it's like 1 hour a week with all the stuff that should be tought in school so demanding discipline is justified.

Thanks Leo, please make more questions like these if you have them. They are really fun and support self thinking. Okay so I can't grasp my hand because it's an always changing thing in time. When I slowly move my hand forward, the hand a moment prior to that would grasp the hand right now but that's not THE HAND RIGHT NOW because it's a different hand because it changed. When we speak of something grasping something else we speak of two objects. The hand can't grasp itself because for that there would need to be an object that grasps and an object that is getting grasped. An object can't be itself and its opposite at the same time and still manifest. Existence means duality, when opposites collapse they delete each other. Then because it's a finite object. If the object of the hand were instead two hands on top of each other the question would be why can't the two hands on top of each other not grasp themselves. So no amount of size increase would solve that unless it would be infinite. -
Overhead Press it.

Lost a post in this thread. That poem won't leave me!

Happiness is about getting many elements which you have control over to get along. It's starts at a bacteria level, to the body, to your personality (which is about getting many part personalities to get along), society, the solar system. Which level of magnification is the most harmonious? As they all harmonious and it's simply the magnification at all which gives a view but takes away the understanding as a whole that it seems there is something unharmonious at all?

Human science is a way for the universe to experience its structures through human eyes. Because science only works when it touches reality the science that humans invent is a part (even if it's a very limited one) of reality. Humans turn reality inside out. They take the structures of reality and built inventions with them. What would humans built if they were infinitely intelligent? That might be a strange loop situation where they would built themself. But that would mean that they end up right here.

( So I play in the theatre a lot. In acting you always give the role you play a big personal touch because in order to play the role you have to seek deep for parts in your own personality and of course everybody has a different personality so every character composition and also interpretation is unique. ) I recently played some villain roles and I tend to fill the role in a manipulator kind of way while other people play more direct confrontational character. When I watch villain movies, the strong buffed anti heroes bore me but I like the crazy manipulator ones like the bad guy in the Solo Film, or Pagan Min from Far Cry 4. This kind of got me wondering if there are devil personality types and how they are connected to your "normal" personality type. Obviously it's not very clear because trauma, upbringing and so on shapes that even more than your "normal" personality which is wishy washy to begin with. I think your "normal" personality in a very "pure" form (free of trauma) is a mix of noble values and strengths, limited by your toxic values. While your "pure" devil might be a mix of your strengths and toxic values, limited by your noble values. Knowing more about your devil personality could be very helpful for many reasons. For one it could show you your potential strengths especially when they are both in your "normal" and "devil" personality and it also opens your eyes to the ways you may already be a devil to other people.

On the one hand I think this is very dangerous because for one as he said in the video the competition for opposing viewpoints won't be there any more, so that's a big paradigm lock and that's dangerous because nobody has a monopoly on truth and it can also be misused from the people who claim to have the truth because they can come up with bullshit which benefits them because critiques from opposing viewpoints are silenced. On the other hand I think this will actually help with overall help drastically. I think most of society isnt smart enough to actually think about topics like health seriously, they will just follow whatever paradigm they click on first. So chances are higher that they subscribe to a better paradigm when the paradigm of the World Health Organization is the one which suits most of society.

I think the general consensus in science of what a healthy and balanced diet consists of is a diet rich of carbohydrates consisting of grains, fruits, veggies and legumes with low to moderate amounts of fat and protein. Making carbs the enemy is extremely against that consensus.

What connects reality? I recently discovered an idea from Hegels philosophy which name I forgot but here are some examples of it. A thing is more than the total of all of its parts: Just like a painting is more than the summary of its strokes or a song is more than the summary of its lutes. All of it smashed together gives a completely new quality. But when looked at the total the individual parts loose their individuality, the strokes or lutes from these examples would go under when looked at the total. This thought made me realize that every state of consciousness is completely unique. Even if let's say you are calm and happy at this moment and a few seconds later a little something happened/ got added now there is a completely new state of consciousness because its a new composition of individual parts. So from this I thought of reality in infinite pictures as in infinite states of consciousness. There are no levels of something. Like there aren't levels of calm. What you call slightly calm and a slightly bit more slightly calm are very unique states of consciousness. They could be one percent different and that would separate them as unique states of consciousness. So why are these states of consciousness connected, are they connected, why do we believe they are connected? (This is not to be confused with thinking about a different state of consciousness while "being in another state of consciousness". Because that's not possible. The state of consciousness in that case would be the state of consciousness that believes that there is split between doer and happening which both happen in one state of consciousness. )

Maybe that's the kind of insight people (Leo) talk about when they say it's hard or impossible to verbalize. Will listen to it tomorrow when I am fresh. -
Cool, how many trips did it take you to get there?

Do you still feel fear when it comes up?

There are many very intelligent animals on earth like parrots or ravens who have a small brain and pretty dumb animals with a big brain like crocodiles or ostriches. My question is, is it possible in theory to have a very very intelligent creature with a very small size? Analogous to how old computers are often huge but have relatively very little power and nowadays devices like the smartphone have x100 that power with :100 the size. I am asking because that could be a solution for climate change. With gene manipulation we could simply make ourselves shrink a shitton so we have a lot more resources on earth.

Oh I see. But I think there is even value in contextualizing it in this absurd way otherwise the gravity and also the ethical consequences of such experienced aren't properly put on the point. So: I always interpreted time in how much you experienced. If you experienced a lot you experienced more time in your life. On the other hand if you have a very dull experience of life that still gives you unique states of consciousness. If you work at the same supermarket for 30 years it will feel very unique. A person who worked there for 20 years won't quite know how that feels like. So in that sense everything arranges itself back. Some states of consciousness are more pricy time wise. A person who spent 30 years of their adult life traveling the world, doing a different job every year, being an astronaut and having kids and whatever will have experienced the same amount of time as a person who spent 30 years of their life doing the same job and living by themself in an apartment playing video games, because the unique sense of folornness and apathy this person might experienced had a high price money wise while the other persons experiences each had a low cost money wise. Thats how I see it on a sober level. So it makes sense I think to speak of time on this level. But what if on a psychedelic state and that's what I wanna know if that's possible you actually experience the unique state of consciousness of how it actually feels like to work in a store for 30 years? Then there is no way that this arranges itself back, that person straight up experienced 30 years more.

@Leo Gura So does this add 30 years of life on his life span on an actual level?

I would think that other creatures have very different intelligence and therefore very different forms of technology than we have. So I think it's unlikely that they used genetic manipulation, as manipulation is a very human like attribute. But maybe natural evolution.
-
Oh okay, perhaps then. True, that's possible, it's also possible that it would have zero effect. But it does show for sure that you can have above intelligence in a tiny body.
-
Sure but it's an option. Can be plan z buts its an option in the toolbox. You are right actually, most birds have bigger brains then crocodiles.. Yes but also shape. The cerebral cortex is strongly folded which gives it more surface for neural connections. If you apply math here a little I think you could really get a lot out of little volume.
-
Are you sure? You generally become bigger when you have a good upbringing. And a good upbringing generally comes with better education. And better education produces more intelligence. She has a masters degree in English literature so she must have at least a decent iq. Thats what inspired my thought actually. She already seems functional, if we breed for that on purpose and also use genetic engineering we could really create something I think. Idk. but also the bigger the system the more surface there is to attack it. Otherwise kids would all die from every disease with their small size. I agree it's not straightforward at all though. But it could potentially work.
-
Exactly. Look at big cities, we already killed almost everything there that isnt human so it wouldn't be a huge step. You could probably design nets that keep bigger animals away so we can enjoy the sky. Yes it might take up more resources per cubic meters to create a safe environment but we would need way less place in terms of surface but also in terms of height. A human building that has place for 1 human could potentially have place for 100 shrunken creature if they are 1/10 of the size. This way we could just leave giant nature reserve on earth and would still have way more place on earth.

Thanks! why?

Nightgame Day09: I have a lot to do at my theatre atm so I haven't been going out lots lately. It was a great time to see how clubbing changed my character though. The first two days I was super confident and excited and I could read social cues super fast. One day I had such a charisma it seems that random people just smiled at me and I smiled back. Then after a few days I lost pretty much all my charisma. I was also sick which could have contributed but its mostly that my mindset changed because I didn't need to gain attention as much as before and I got in old patterns. I absolutely hated it and was pretty disappointed with myself. Yesterday though the girl from a night before (the night where I got like 6 numbers and was absolutely on fire) randomly asked me if I want to go to a concert with her for free because a friend of her cancelled. That was exactly what I needed. I still couldn't get in the vibe for like 10 hours, I was so back in my numb victim mindset kind of crab. After the concert she wanted to party. I was kind of afraid to party in my home town because I knew so many people there and was afraid to meet them because I didn't want anyone to see me fail. The first nightclub we went to was almost empty. Although I didn't know anybody it was a bad place to do pickup because literally everybody would see me do it and there weren't even enough girls to get warm. So we went to a second club. That club was fuller (not good full though). I became super conscious of everything on lost my chill mindset. I knew that in Berlin everything I did there would stay there so I didn't care about rejections as much. Now in my home town I was way more afraid to look like a creep. I opened just one girl. The rest of the time I just danced. Even though that didn't work out well the next day my mood self confidence skyrocketed again. Idk if it's game or just the appreciation of people in my life that elevate my self confidence so much.
