  1. I know, and you're right in an ideal world. But the world is nowhere near ideal. So you can't really expect something like that to happen anytime soon. So we are left with reality. What is the most realistic way for you and me to get our needs met? Is it waiting around for the Great God to come from the sky and solve our problems? Or is it accepting the challenging reality and getting our hands dirty? It's good that you're aware of this so that you can avoid perpetuating the problem further, but I don't think there's much that we can currently do besides that on that front. There's much to be done on other fronts, though.
  2. Because most people don't need these things as they actually already have most of them, and/or have learned to cope without the rest of them.
  3. There are several ways to get your human needs met. Religion was effective in small tribes. We aren't a small tribe anymore, adapt. We invented email so that we don't have to use the slow and outdated post office anymore. Both satisfy the same needs, but email has many advantages, like speed and live communication. Religion is like the post office. You're trying to travel back in time. Are you feeling nostalgic?
  4. I think this is one of the problems with unearned wisdom. Science and religion create a similar effect. When you have everything explained and spoonfed to you without much work on your part, and then if you repeat it enough times it will start making sense to you even if you don't actually understand it, then you will think you actually understand it, and you will get all cocky and arrogant and think that you've reached the end of knowledge. Dunning-Kruger effect in practice. Unearned wisdom gets people drunk/high on their ignorance, and it keeps them stuck in there forever.
  5. I miss Loba.
  6. I finally understand Leo. Absolutely nobody understands him, not even his fans and supporters, let alone the critics and trolls. He accepts himself and everyone like nobody else does. He actually practices what he preaches about love to a great degree. That's why he keeps saying he is more AWAKE than everyone else. His position is not one of arrogance, but rather of truth and of boundaries and standing up to falsehood. People who are dismissing him or criticizing him are ironically the arrogant ones in this scenario. Though, they might be humble in other scenarios, even though not necessarily. Ego is ego all across the board.
  7. Cringe memories
  8. @Leo Gura I finally understand your pain and struggle against this stupidity lol.
  9. @MisterNobody I cannot deal with your arrogance.
  10. No, I'm actually less awake than Leo. In fact, I almost fell asleep typing this comment. .... @MisterNobody I've never done drugs, but there are higher awakenings than you've ever imagined. I'm always experiencing new awakenings that are not necessarily spiritual in nature, but still. There is an infinity to wake up to.
  11. Or for things that you were brainwashed into thinking that they're highly valuable. ?
  12. I agree. That is why suffering is a great teacher. The ego cannot be talked gently and diplomatically into humility. Why would it? It is by definition the opposite of that.
  13. ~3000 (probably even more) up to 400 years ago, you had endless religious wars. Don't you mean the death of dogma?
  14. Beauty is a relative notion, too. But you still crave it.
  15. @Inliytened1 Pretty accurate. Couldn't agree more. And I'm also a fat pig swimming in my own shit that I'm full with.
  16. I agree. And I also don't understand anything you said.
  17. You are a word game. I was 200% serious about what I said. Trust me. Yeah, if the elephant is a finite material object. The problem of qualia/relativity. On a more relative level, all established gurus are older than you. And people like Inliytened1 and Frank Yang are older than you. So the odds are not completely with you there either. I don't even take the elephant and blind men metaphor seriously. Gurus don't always disagree about different parts of the elephant. Sometimes they disagree about the same part. They just don't understand the problems of language. Or they do, but speak from ego (survival/politics), which is worse double-fold (Zen Devils). Still despite all that, I think you are extremely conscious. At least more conscious than anyone I know, like I stated earlier. I have many reasons for thinking that, including your extensively long and extremely unique and original work for over the span of 10 years, and the fact that you are overly anti-dogma contrary to most other teachers who back the validity of their insights with tradition/culture.
  18. Unless you recontextualize the final awakening from the dream as just one part of the larger/deeper dream.

  20. @Salvijus Can I just press the like button without actually liking it? Or is that considered aping and aural masturbation?
