Rishabh R replied to Rishabh R's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Galyna thanks but there are two kinds of insights that I generate: one while contemplating (which is more than 250 which I generate daily and very few insights that hit me out of nowhere). I think that words are imaginary . -

@Yimpa yeah that's the key .Thank you. Just like a recent example - my friend is telling us to buy a course which is costly for preparing for competitive exams but I deny it cause I am skeptical that coaching institute just play on claims and there is no garantee that I will compete in that exam after taking that course except self study. I liked Leo's videos like -How authority works, How socialization makes you dumber. -

@Yimpa Leo Gura (which is the problem that I must turn to myself not to someone else -that is where truth comes from ) -
Where did reality come from ? Imagination. Why ? Because it is love.

What is success ? (Contemplating of 20 minutes with pen and paper )

Congratulations ๐

Let's see what this year brings for us.

@Thought Artok
-
Can it decrease suffering and make us better handle setbacks etc. ?
-
@Thought Art I mean that having a backup plan can be fruitful .
-
But I think that visualizing that what can you do when things are going wrong could be a useful strategy.
-
@Thought Art but in the past when I used to do positive visualization I was disappointed at the time of results.
-
@Akashic thank you. Ryan Holiday talks about it too.
-
@Leo Gura you were right , I was looking for this topic .Thank you.

I bought read the book Subtle art of not giving a ____ and I want to live out it's values : The values are : Radical responsibility: I am responsible for everything that happens in my life regardless of who is at fault Uncertainty and not knowing: Questioning beliefs,thoughts,assumptions Failure : willing to see one's mistakes and flaws Rejection through commitment to a particular career, place or person Contemplation of mortality Thank you

@Leo Gura merry Christmas.
-
@Leo Gura haha you typed good mistakenly two times๐. However , I must learn from my failures by asking the question that What can I learn from my failures? And writing answers in my diary.Like this
-
@Leo Gura ok but those values in the book resonated with me and the best value which resonated with me from you was questioning and curiosity. I daily sit and contemplate a question . Thank you
-
@Leo Gura my interests - the answer to the question. Also you gave similar values in your videos like questioning and not knowing,responsibility, learning from failures. Yes radical honesty was also a value which is honesty to oneself ( in most cases I don't know). By the way how can I learn from failures - Is questioning , What can I learn from my failures the key ?(I was contemplating it yesterday)
-
@hyruga that's a good list.

@Leo Gura ok and what do you say on my classmates who have relationships without approaching random strangers and I approached more girls than them. What I did was worth it ? Even now also I am approaching my classmates and those girls are rejecting me calling me brother and later committing to some other guy. How do I reframe it ? One of my classmate told me to study and not approach a random stranger because of I do it nobody will save me from getting beaten by their boyfriends?By the way here are my statistics : 2 approaches per week in since last 6 months (girls who are my classmates).And continuing. 58 approaches(random stranger girls ) in previous semester which is 6 months .
-
@Leo Gura thank you but how to handle awkwardness and confrontation, threats etc The looks of disgust on girls face when you approach strangers whom you don't know.Plus insecure people ? You also said that you will do a video on victim mindset in the future. Even I no longer feel like a victim cause I have taken radical responsibility in my life - whatever happens in my experience I am the one responsible for it.
-
@Leo Gura so the skills gained are handling fear, learning from failures etc.
-
@Leo Gura So you mean that pursuing to get a relationship is better than having a girlfriend?
-
When I sat to contemplate the question I realised -By recognising that I am ok. Then I ask why ? - Because I am ok. Then I asked chatgpt it gave an answer that one must do positive self talk, challenge negative thoughts and slowly step out of one's comfort zone. Afterwards I listened to mark manson podcast and he said that confidence is comfort in failure not an expectation in success. It is recognizing that you will not always succeed but it is worth trying anyway . Could @Leo Gura and people help me out ? And also I would like to hear opinion of you'll on Mark Manson as Leo told to listen to more than one teacher I am also listening to Mark Manson besides Leo .
