@Osaid This thinking is instilled to her by the Quran. In the Quran it says, those who are closed minded to god and deny god cannot marry a believer of god. The reason is because of the selfishness that arises when one worships their ego instead of God and how this selfishness is contagious so in marriage or dating it is not allowed. kind of like how this forum’s guidlines state that if you doubt enlightenment this is not your place.

@Osaid Feels good doesnt it, Muhammad, Buddha, Moses used to do this without water for multiple days on end. Prophet Muhammad said: only those who are capable can do what I do (dry fasting for days on end). For many of your egos will not endure, so Allah has not prescribed fasting for a duration more than what exceeds you. He is pointing at the spiritual benefit of fasting for multiple days on end, he attributes this ability to persons who rise above and take on greater responsibility. That is us!

@JosephKnecht way to miss the point.

@Gesundheit Im Sorry.

not so sure youre keeping up with the community guidelines. Maybe consider removing this

@Gesundheit “I've been doing it eversince I was 10 years old. Sometimes it felt like I was going to die from the heat and dehydration near the end of the day. The only time I ever missed days was two years ago when I got a heatstroke and had to stay hydrated all the time until I recovered. That was 4-5 days. Extremely powerful practice for those interested.” poke fun joker. lets go even further with your predisposition and drag it out to be ridiculous, maybe then you’ll recognize your gut reaction and closed mindedness. this is why all muslims have no brain cells they starve themselves. No wonder they blow up randomly and believe in retarded shit. Surprisingly in the last decade it has become a trend to intermittent fast and to go on dryfasts. Science is bubbling up with new studies proving the benefits and illness prevention aspect if it. But still fuck muslims ammiright?

@Nahm wise wise wise!

@Thought Art Elaborate

@Nahm Ah I see, they didnt let go of themselves to realize there is noself that dies. Thats, powerful. In your video you said that you mediated and then discovered what you really were, what age were you when this happened? Im asking this because I want to know if its easier to unwind the construct of yourself before you build on it too much of yourself. The younger you are the less you've constructed...
-
@Nahm 3 questions coming right up. what happens when your physical body dies. Will you then remember with a shock? What is your opinion on near death experiences.

@JosephKnecht you are a muslim, your ego or "Nafs" is just in the way of that reality. A muslim is someone who strives to empty himself of himself and surrender to the will of god; and the will of Allah is love, goodness, compassion, responsibility, understanding and the list goes on: read about the 99 names of Allah, these are what islam teaches muslims to strive for. Now you may not know this, but I tell you this is the essence of the religion. Judge all you want my brother, but that judging will just be useless noise. Youre arguements are not sound nor valid. You are making generalizations and stating falsehood. In islam an infidel is someone who believes in nihilism-meaninglessness, a lack of existence of god. Or a belief in and worshiping of idols and objects (including the object of self/ego). If you follow the teachings actualized.org you are no infidel. Anyone who is not an infidel is a muslim. In islam, god is not limited to muslims, god is for the entirety of creation. If some muslims in developing countries believe otherwise, who the fuck cares. Its their level of development let them run their course. thats it from me, if youre gonna project your dislike for islam onto me dont bother, you will not be given another response. If you are curious about islam, im happy to give you my time conveying more to you and if you happen to be near limbourg belguim, id buy you a coffee and we can have a chat.

@Dryas Yep, im sure youre muslim too given this insight. They really miss the point of it huh. How about those who sleep all day just to skip fasting

Very well put. I hit my head against a wall many many times in life just to understand this as Im sure you also have. You suffer time and time again trying to do what everyone else is doing until you reach a point where you just do what works for you, its like something clicks and an insight forms that says "Im in this life for me, I'll do what works for me" I think this mistake of not following ones own flow is rooted in the need to "belong" or to "conform" with certain norms and other people. You know, advice is not universal, this stuff that I mentioned works for me, but you gotta be very nuanced here, you cant not do something and call it "out of flow" just because its hard to do initially. I'll tell you this. The Wim Hof breathing was not my jam, nor was nofap, nor is cutting out my fav snacks, but you gotta push through this initial resistance phase to start cashing in on the rewards and that will ultimately bind something to your lifestyle. Following the logic that: If this shit makes me feel good, if it helps me with everything I do, then doing it is no longer a process of "enduring" but rather its becomes a pleasure and a joy or in other words, it binds to you and becomes part of "your flow." Thanks for this great insight but generally speaking in the future you really ought to read posts before you comment underneath them, judging the book by its cover thing Good to hear from you @Origins

First topic I post! Like many of you here, I assume you also found yourself struggling with some mental health issues the past year, I've recently decided to do something about it and may also be to the benefit of you guys who are trying to self actualize. It is shocking just how much your experience of life can change if you just add a few things into your life. As the title already mentions, I have been meditating (breath focus and relaxing muscles), doing nofap (resisting masturbation urges, and orgasm during sex), the wim hof breathing technique (breathing in and out vigorously followed by a pause of breathing - 3 times), cardio during the morning and afternoon, and have been cutting out carbs big time for 2 weeks now, and Its literally like being on some mix of an antidepressant and an amphetamine. Enjoy guys, Its simple to change your life, there isnt any theory involved here, you just gotta this stuff ↑ everyday and start cashing in on the results 2 weeks in.

@Leo Gura I dont think its possible. You yourself are a muslim. Why dont you drop it? you cant. its literally impossible. I have elaborated my definition of muslim below: A muslim is someone who strives to empty himself of himself and surrender to the will of god; and the will of Allah is love, goodness, compassion, responsibility, understanding and the list goes on: read about the 99 names of Allah, these are what islam teaches muslims to strive for. Why do you meditate, do yoga, or walk in nature. Cuz u love it. I love these ritiuals and practices works for me, whatever judgements arise are just ruido to me.

@Osaid Yep, Its quite shocking isn't it. Feel free to message me in a week or two if you see any developments with your diet.

@traveler 100% agree, I have tried the cold showers, they are not my cup of tea of course but they do wake you up and energize you. There is something about them that I cannot pinpoint that makes you feel really alive after. I'm sticking to my hot showers for now, but definitely once I am steady on the track of keeping up with my good habits, I will implement this thanks! Thanks for bringing this up too. I do think that if you look good you feel good, so I will definitely implement a skin care routine. Regarding the last sentence about getting sun: hard to get sun, when there is no sun to get #weatherfrommyass

@Jodistrict accurate and well articulated!

@Thought Art Thanks for your comment, So far hunger is a psychological impulse not a physical feeling anymore. No more energy crashes after eating big meals. Much less gastric reflux. But there is a downside, Im having diarrhea more often. I don't know how much of the other benefits I can attribute to keto because as you read, im doing a combination of things at once so , beyond what is logical, it's not possible to pinpoint any benefits to one specific lifestyle change. Benefits like mental clarity and being in the moment/focused could as easily be attributed to meditation as they are to diet. (the case is probably that both have an effect). For instance: is the keto diet helping me feel happy and energetic all the time or is it the wim hof method or is it the nofap? I dont know the answer to that question.

@Leo Gura I like the rebellious trolly attitude, it sparks the image of a saint who uses pornhub to get off and juul cigarette to take the edge off.

@Neorez Jordan Peterson's case is that of the shoemaker who walks barefoot. He preaches and preaches about a goal unknown to him which he himself has not yet achieved. Jordan's word view which he tries to indoctrinate you with makes him out to be the perfect man, in his word view he emphasizes valuing intelligence, facing the unknown, climbing up the dominance hierarchy and more... There is a hidden agenda behind the perspectives he preaches, I'm not even sure he is aware of that agenda. This agenda is a function of pride, self centeredness and self justification. All be it the man is a human, deserving of care and understanding. Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, Moses, David or any other prophet, they all are real and they can visit you if you imagine them to. They can delight you with wonderful insight and advice, they can warm your heart up with comfort. Whats wrong in that? Nothing. Sometimes you need a loving voice from a person who understands you, what better way than you to do that to yourself in the form of your prophet? Christian or not, believing this world is made with creativity and love in mind is as real a belief as you can hold.

@Tim R Sounds fun, I've personally never had it. Although I will say, doing the wim hof breathing method creates a similar experience to what you described. The connection I'm trying to make is that maybe you breath in such a way that gives the same effects as the wim hof method. Maybe be more mindful of how you breath while running and compare it to one of your friends when you go running with them. Anyways, its cool to hear such an odd effect arising from just running!
