  1. So true! 🀯
  2. I think animals have some form of ego. It might not be as complex and full-fledged as human ego, but it is there, especially in higher species like mammals. Even trees have some form of ego. And even simpler beings like paramecium. They all have an ego, or an identity of some sort. That's how they stay alive. At its most basic biological level, ego is the boundary that says: β€œThis membrane is mine; that environment is not.” Ego like the kernel that drives behavior in living beings, and it doesn't have to be a psychological phenomenon. It can dim, but it cannot disappear. Until death.
  3. @Carl-Richard That Nahm dude cannot be defended. He replied with non-dual platitudes to someone that was seriously about to commit suicide. And that someone did commit suicide in the end. I'm not saying Nahm was responsible. But he was clearly unwise and irresponsible.
  4. Good point. I think there's a confusion, a misunderstanding, and a conflation between science and scientism. Science is an innocent tool. It is not a person. It has no agenda. I don't think most people understand what they're criticizing.
  5. Is this suggesting wearing more pants or less? I think it will be satisfactory either way πŸ˜‰πŸ˜ˆ
  6. I'm a sucker for those post-modern minds of yours and the like.
  7. @Natasha Tori Maru Yeah, as long as it doesn't become a pattern, it's all milk & honey.
  8. Spain had the World Cup in their pockets from the beginning. I couldn't see it, but it's obvious now. Those bastards. They could have easily scored 20+ goals by the time they win the final, but they just don't do that. They don't show their hand even after winning. I feel cheated. I don't like them at all.
  9. @Natasha Tori Maru A one-off in 13 years is nothing. It's actually quite miraculous to have delivered as much with such depth for so long.
  10. It's actually quite interesting how people who say the most truth are held to more stricter and higher standards for truth speaking. Leo primed us for this. Almost wired us to always expect 100% accuracy. We take everything he says literally. And we take it for granted. Then comes someone like Trump and Andrew Tate, and they get away with so much lies and falsehood, even evident crimes. I guess it's the inevitable price of truth.
  11. Reminds me of that Jesus quote:
  12. I don't think you understand relationships. We have limited resources, namely time and energy in the context of relationships. We can't go around making friends and relationships with everyone. We gotta have some priorities and hierarchies for who gets to be close and who doesn't get recognized at all. Let alone famous people like Leo, I'm mostly talking from the regular person's pov. Anyone who's living a full life is too abundant to be seeking relationships online then turn them into real-world relationships. A full life includes real social circle, spiritual connection, hobbies, a regular job, and occasional vacations.
  13. You can't really do that in practice. It's just too idealistic. Requires too much time and effort and investment into strangers that might be trolls living on the opposite side of the globe. It just gives the trolls what they want; attention. So that very mechanism, as benevolent as it seems, will be fuel that creates more trolls, ironically. Too much benefit of the doubt is dangerous. You gotta have boundaries and draw the line at some point.
  14. That's not always the case. It's not like mods have two lives I think we're getting into technical management issues that are not my business. So, I'll have have a nice day. Though, I think you wanna look into why you are fixated on the face to face thingy.
  15. Regular members can't and shouldn't have that. But yes when it comes to mods, as that's just teamwork.
  16. I notice you bring this up quite a lot. But I can't comprehend why it feels so essential to you.
  17. Well, too bad. I kinda liked you. But pragmatics make terrible friends usually. Use and dispose of. Nah, seriously, I like you.
  18. @AerisVahnEphelia How post-modernist are you? 1 to 10.
  19. Use the control of the unseparated self.
  20. @Leo Gura Bro, just joke it out. Give them some AI video and be done with it.
