  1. You're trying to use the same arguments against me that you claim I'm using against you. You say that people shouldn't have the freedom to reject the vaccine, but in the same breath you also claim that people should be free to roam around unhealthy. So which is it, do you prefer security or do you prefer freedom?
  2. I would say that it's all natural, but it sure as hell doesn't grow on trees.
  3. Funny how you skipped all the important bits of my post. Do you agree that our society is largely unhealthy? Why aren't we addressing those issues? If your roof is leaky, what's the better approach, to fix the roof or to keep putting pots under every single leak?
  4. Not at all. I'm saying that your worldview that postulates that we should fight nature is wrong. As long as we're in a war with nature, we're in a war with ourselves. We are nature, the artificial separation that we invented is the source of most of our problems as a civilization. Does this mean we shouldn't get the vaccine? Not at all. However, I strongly believe that a far better course than inoculating against this virus would be to improve the general health of society instead, so that our bodies could handle the infection better. Did you know that obesity is one of the leading causes for Covid deaths? Why aren't we discussing that? Is it wise to have everyone grow fat and unhealthy, and then vaccinate them to prevent something that a healthy immune system can easily get over with? It's this kind of backward logic that grinds my gears. But I'm sure you'll have some clever responses to back your stance that nature is our enemy and we should fight her for our own survival. Funny, since nature is the one who provides 100% of everything that we need for life to begin with.
  5. It's all karma. Humans are getting exactly and precisely what we deserve. The only narcissist here is you, thinking you're above nature, when you yourself are nature.
  6. I don't think you understand or are capable of understanding what I just wrote, at all.
  7. You just admitted that you 1) have no respect towards nature whatsoever and 2) that you're a materialistic schmuck. This kind of arrogance is precisely what humanity has been doing wrong for past thousands of years. If we respected nature we wouldn't exploit it. If we respected nature we would work with natural processes, not fight against them. If we respected nature we wouldn't have this conversation to begin with. You showcase a very low degree of wisdom with these posts.
  8. Nice materialism you've got there. Nature made you and she made everything to sustain you. Yet there you are, flaunting your arrogance. Humanity's burning need to interfere with nature is precisely what got us into this mess to begin with.
  9. I agree @taotemu, sometimes I genuinely wonder if Seinfeld is an enlightened person with a quirky facade.
  10. I don't think anyone's denying that. Tell that to my friend who nearly died after a Covid shot. I personally know at least 10 very educated people in scientific positions who are refusing to take a shot. The world isn't black and white. That said, I'm not discouraging anyone from taking a shot and I'd hate anyone to decide anything based off the posts I made here. But at the same time I have a distaste for the holier than thou attitude that some of you here display.
  11. Let me offer a third perspective which says that no one knows what's going on, and we're all f**** idiots.
  12. Truth is not consistent, therefore any description of truth isn't consistent either. Paradoxes arise naturally and spontaneously when serious metaphysical investigation is underway.
  13. Thanks for sharing. I don't fully agree with him on everything he says but this was a interesting and fresh perspective. That statement can be interpreted in 2 very distinct ways.
  14. Find a more secluded place. Or you can wear an orange robe, that will clue them in.
  15. I didn't invent the vaccine, nor have had anything to do with its development. I'm not in a risk group and I'm hardly risking anyone else's life so don't put the blame on me. Maybe blame the guy who ate that bat soup.
  16. @Nobody_Here The very first thing my Statistics professor told us in the first lecture was "there's 3 types of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics". When you talk about vast majorities, that doesn't really help the tiny minorities that do end up suffering from it. Greater good doesn't' really justify individual suffering. But I get what you're saying and I mostly agree with it. But you have to be careful when talking broadly like that.
  17. My own opinion is he was more into shamanism instead of the eastern philosophies and religions. And shamans don't talk about non-duality, or if they hint at it they use different terms. "The transcendental object at the end of time" might as well be synonymous with non-duality.

  19. You say this but I personally know a person who had terrible complications after getting the vaccine, and he came into it healthy. Now yes, he's the only one I know that had complications and it's obviously anecdotal. My thought process is, if I'm ever to get it, I'd rather wait a few years and get vaccine version 5.0 instead of getting the 1.0.
  20. Don't take those unless you know exactly what you're doing. They can indeed invoke transcended experiences but you have to know how to prepare them, and from most trip reports I've read and heard about the experience is typically not enjoyable at all, the experience is more like a shamanic rite (which is what it was used for in certain shamanic cultures). It's not a classical magic mushroom in that the primary psychoactive compound in it is muscimol and not psilocybin like with "classical" magic mushrooms. Please be careful with these.
  21. I get your point @Carl-Richard. I wonder if you get mine. FWIW I do think that most people should get vaccinated. Most people are too stupid to even bother with hygienic protocols during a pandemic, so I'm not surprised the virus is spreading like wildfire in certain parts of the world. I'm extremely careful when it comes to hygienic protocols precisely because I do not want to cause pain and suffering to others, I minimize the chance by avoiding people in general. But I'm also a recluse who lives practically in the middle of a forest and I spend the vast majority of time by myself. I consider myself a special case in that regard. If I was a normal person who had the burning need to chit-chat with others while sipping coffee in a public place or had a job that demanded close contact to many people every day, then yes, I would get vaccinated as well.
  22. @Carl-Richard And I'm here to tell you that a vaccine mandate goes against basic human rights. Quoted from https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/policies/manuals/Documents/consent-section-6.pdf
