It's probably a combination of feeling worthless - thus deserving of punishment and pain - and a way of escaping reality through the pain. And it also gives the person some kind of control. Because worthless people get punished by society, so by inflicting the most pain possible yourself, the pain that society gives you can never be as bad as the pain you inflict on yourself.

It’s also; if you are offended and become angry just because someone calls you a “prude” or anything similar. Well then you are heading towards the definition of insanity. i feel there’s also a lot of parroting within the spiritual community. If someone doesn’t have an answer to a hard question they will just say; well you just need to meditate more. It’s a weak appeal to tradition and authority.

Yes, that’s the point. It’s like other meats. Except it is suffering free. Doesn’t take up land and resources for the livestock. Less impact on the environment. Less labor costs. Less water usage. Less waste. Etc etc And the amount of nutrients to grow the meat will be way less than the amount of nutrients it takes to grow it through an animal. Why? Because a lot of the calories the animal consumes will go the cells that aren’t used for consumption.

You are drowning in concepts. God doesn’t mean anything unless you truly experience God within. And the experience of God doesn’t magically appear by thinking it into your experience. It's going to be difficult for sure. But you can pull it off because it is right. You have justice on your side. And when you do pull it off and your dad will atleast get in trouble for his depraved behavior it will be a great win. You will be a hero man, seriously. This is a real opportunity for you to become a real hero.

I love people that are big dreamers. They have a dream, a purpose, and they go out there and do it. Because that is what lives in their heart, they know if they die and haven't at least tried giving it their all trying to achieve that dream, it has been a wasted life. People that are know that it's not their car or status that sets them apart, but their unique vision and dedication toward it. That dream can be to build a huge tech company; to travel the world and make music; to build a new community; to build homeless shelters; feed the poor in Africa; making Indie documentary films. The amount of stuff or money they have is just an afterthought. Having a nice car, a nice house, nice clothes etc. That can be nice, but that is what it is... just nice. It doesn't really gives you that spark of life, its just...nice. The real spark is in the journey, your journey. Not the journey of some Hollywood movies you watch, or the ads on TV. Also not the journey that your parents think you should traverse. This life is your damned journey, and those other people are just people you meet along the way.

I think this plan is the right thing to do. Your cousin obviously thinks this as well. What do you think? If so. You might try coming up with a plan to sell it the victims to testify. Inspire them to come forward, to take that asshole down. Make the victims feel like hero's, they are doing it for all the victims in the world. That your dad will keep making victims etc. (This would be my plan)

Even if you are the most noble, loving, hardworking, competent, high integrity, intelligent person in the world; If you have some measure of success there will be a significant group of people that will take great joy and delight in taking you down. Can't you come up with a plan and get all the victims together and let them all testify of the things he has done? You can build a file about him and go to the police, so you have a case. That would be my first thought. The first step for justice is to always take the most legitimate and proper way. If that fails, you can brainstorm about alternative ways.

A person expressing his opinion freely can indeed turn ugly. But preventing people from the freedom of expressing their opinion can turn way uglier. We have enough examples of that through history. The solution is is in proper communication and acknowledging our differences as people. People have different lifestyles and preferences, and through proper and respectful communication we can create mutual understanding and respect. We need to be able to express our opinions freely while respecting the other person.

You have made a wrong assumption; you think that God or infinity is bound within this 3 dimensional space-time simulation you are experiencing. Have you considered that maybe that is only a specific manifestation. And that in true infinity, manifestation does not need to abide by those rules.

If you don't feel comfortable with a certain person you are never obligated to have sex with that person. You decide what you do with your body and who you share it with. If a guy is just horny and wants to get laid that is his problem, no one owed him anything. Not you, not any woman. Just like when a beggar on the streets asks you for money you are not obligated to give that person money. It is your money, you earned it, and you decide what to do with it. You are not a bad person if you don't give a beggar money. He is not your responsibility.
