I spent some time today watching youtube videos on perfecting swings, squats, and deadlifts. Listening intensely to the sensation in my back as I moved through 10 sets of squats with reduced weight and a whole bunch of swings was a blessing in disguise. I could feel when I had great form and repeated the patterns over and over to lock them into memory. This was the main intention behind starting with such low weights (relative to my ability), and why I shall progress slowly. I also watched an interview of a Shaolin monk and appreciated the blend of prayer and agility coming through him. Interview 57:00-1:01:30

  10. Are you following the simple and sinister routines? I remember you writing about having read through Paval's stuff in one of your journals a while back. I haven't noticed anything so far and it hasn't been particularly difficult. I am starting with light weights and plan to do a very slow controlled ascent. I want to install the routines as habits and minimize the risk of injuries. Also, strength work isn't my focus here, I am doing exercises to support running/cardio work and to begin building a foundation for more serious strength work at a later stage.
