  1. Great channel that covers many molecules (not just psyches): https://www.youtube.com/@totalsynthesis Interesting new methods to simplify LSD synthesis have implications for other medicinal molecule production such as bromocryptine and future drug synthesis. I also found it interesting that 6-Meo-DMT has been found to be just as psychoplastogenic (promoting of neural growth and neuroplasticity) as 5-Meo-DMT without having any psychedelic or hallucinogenic effects: Precursor chemicals for 5-Meo-DMT synthesis are currently legal and easily accessible, although the substance is controlled in many countries. Check local laws to avoid criminal charges if you're interested in synthesizing some:
  2. I listened to this vaush clip today and thought it was interesting how democratic support for Biden is tanking in younger demographics based on his response to the Israeli conflict. This is a lose-lose situation for the democrats in the US, as historically allies with Israel are necessary to maintain a military presence in the Arab world. Supporting Israel is somewhat necessary for the us, and denouncing their actions will be interpreted as antisemitism. Right at the end he talks about how great it would be if politicians could just come out and say what they meant, referring to clip from the 80's. It reminded me of this:

  6. Leos recent blog post on the abiogenesis course remided me of the intelligent design arguments I was taught in highschool chemistry and biology. I remember learning then that the flagellum of a bacteria has something like 70 (dont quote me) unique parts that need to be combined in a very specific sequence in order for it to function and the probability that this came about as an evolutionary adaptation that conferred advantage to survival by chance is astronomically low. They also covered the biochemical components that are involved in dna transcription and translation, precision engineering, really. I was wondering what other arguments and or examples of similar things people knew about or may have come across. I vaguely recall another agrument for intelligent design coming in the form of some weird examples of coevolution? I cant remeber the specifics of that because it was such a long time ago. The real question is why is existence and everything in it just... here. Quite absurd to ponder and to this day it amazes me how few people even seem to ask that question, let alone spend decades just looking at it.
  7. Maybe for the same reason it was possible for religion to form and be possible before science even though humans have had acces to the same set of circumstances for 100,000 years (according to science) ... intellignece or lackthereof. Also, it gets tricky to answer with language because our very language is structured around causality, the flow of time, symbols frozen in time etc. One answer might be mu. Another might be 5meo dmt applied to anus. Another might be smacking with a zen stick. Another might be neti neti until silence, i.e. all possible explantions are exhausted and all you have left is reality. Im off to bed because I have more wood to chop and water to carry in the mornin'
  8. @nuwu True (ish) @LastThursday scientific theories are heavily reliant on an underlying assumption of causality, be it deterministic or teleological or some other form. Predictive power doesnt necessarily have anything to do with Truth. What is the value of prediction if not for its utility? Flat Earth theory had much more robust predictive power in the early phases of technology, even when the Copernican model came into being it could not be beaten for some 100 years until widespread adoption of the telescope made observable phenomenon more readily predicted by 'round earth' conspiracy theorists. Predictive power is only ever relevant to a narrow context and so, we could say that all theories are equally untrue, just more or less useful. How could science explain an acausal reality, if that were the ultimate truth?
  9. I got it from my mom. She attended it live and is friends with Wyatt Woodsmall. I paid $5000 for access to his platinum passport at a discount which gives access to this course and all his other ones with Wyatt Woodsmall, including many other business orientated training. https://ebenpagantraining.com/product/platinum-passport/ I later found copies to most of his stuff from a librarian at my university. Libraries are O.P.
  10. I am currently going through Eben Pagan and Wyatt Woodsmall's Mind control course. It's a 25-hour seminar that covers the creation of 'success' as an emergent property through systemic changes in ones life, at the physical, emotional and logical levels by promoting synergy between parts and upgrading peoples memetic structures to better accomplish those aims. Listening to this was like a trailer to the seminar.
  11. Nah, the British. If they hadn't promised Palestine to themselves, the Meccans, and the Zionists at the beginning of the 20th Century when it still belonged to the Ottomans there wouldn't have been this shit show.
  12. I know right! I've been telling everyone for years the earth is flat. I mean you can't beat the predictive power of the Ptolemaic model with the Copernican one when looking at the position of stars in the nights sky, and even if you can it takes much greater computational power than is needed.
  13. I would argue that truly getting to this point of understanding is a challenge for most scientists and science as a whole in its current state of evolution. One should ask, however, if usefulness i.e. survival value equates to Truth. Thanks for playing, you're intelligent.
  14. What if I make it cold. Like really cold. Like really really cold. Like as cold as is inetellectually possible. Would all matter emit and absorb light then? What about a black hole? I watched a movie and the main actors said that light never leaves gargantua. I mean sure its not a real place but I really FEEL like the concept has a ring to it. All this just sounds like a really fluffed up way of saying that incredible complexity emerged from nothing and arranged itself into words on a screen and there is no intelligence at play in any of it. Its just random. So either intelligence doesn't exist or it's involved in everything pal ... explain me where I'm wrong
  15. The analogy of music beautifully illustrates the concept of holism and the environment dancing with each organism as it fluctuates through random mutations. You seem to obfuscate this point, however. We can say with mathematical precision that the flagellum of the bacteria developing randomly is like saying that if a drumstick started falling in a growing forest, and nobody was around to hear it, Bill Burr definitely attended a Meshuggah concert. https://youtu.be/HS9_p7zNASQ?si=jpKyyPQuXxy8aAO5
  16. True evolution is, after all, just a concept in the mind ... an intelligent mind, mind you. The map is never the territory.
  17. Don't kid yourself, it takes intelligence to sort a deck of cards or instruct a dumb computer to do it. Why do you call the computer dumb after all? Why can't the computer do it without instruction? The goal of evolution then is to increase the likelihood of reproduction.
  18. Things have been going really well for me lately and I can't take it anymore. I eat right, exercise, get enough sleep, have a job, and some friends. I laugh like every day and feel like I have a purpose here on earth that I believe in. I accept all my insufficiencies in the sense that I don't let them detract from my own feelings of self-worth, but I still actively work to improve on them. I am motivated as fuck, like I have boundless energy and don't have enough hours in the day to spend it all, so each new day I wake up buzzing. I am super successful with women, I treat them right, with the right amount of wrong, and my dick has honestly never been wetter. I focus easily, and I'm content with life and my place in it, I occasionally receive deep and profound spiritual insights that are radically changing my perspective on reality but it's usually welcome and only seems to get better overall. Here's the thing, whenever I hop on my computer (holy shit can you imagine being born like 100 years ago, no electricity in most places, wow!) and I log online (again, holy shit the internet, what a time to be alive!) to look for information on how to turn my life around I am just bamboozled with optimistic insights, courses, books, videos, and forums (Like this one!!) where people just want to help me get better all the time. And I mean I get it, a part of humanity is fundamentally shitty like everyone just wants to survive and get theirs, but I can't help but feel a genuine underlying goodness is at play everywhere I look. I want to get to a place of catatonic depression and anxiety. Like, despair with life. Like, I want my teeth to be rotting and in excruciating pain because I can't summon the enthusiasm to get up and brush my teeth after eating sugary, fatty, processed foods all day. You know? I know it's out there and I'm reaching for a lot, but I honestly think I can do it. I believe in myself in spite of how difficult it is to be negative in today's world. Holy shit, have you heard about AI? Wow, I might not even have to work soon and get free money. Anyway, here's what I found to start getting on track. Again, I can't tell if he's genuinely seriously trying to help me, or if he's just another scammer trying to make me feel better and awesome. There are some good takeaways to implement though. as with most things. I'd appreciate input from the heavy sufferers out there. I don't mind putting in consistent effort over long periods of time if required, I don't just want quick solutions if that's all you're offering. Thanks in advance! <3

  20. @sholomar Yeah, there seems to be an underbelly of heavy suffering in spiritual communities as people who are in those dorsal vagal states may be driven to seek solutions outside the mainstream. (Speaking from experience) Having spiritual insights, moments of ease and connection that comes from merging with a community can then be easily hikacked by egoic/survival drives and lead to all kinds of traps. I think a distinction needs to be made between having a calm and present nervous system and having states of high consciousness. Breathwork, body work, trauma release, diet, psychedellic experiences, meditation, yoga, sauna, icebaths, psychological and philosophical insight can impact both. It would be a mistake to assume that 'well adjusted' people are advanced spiritually, just because they're chill.
  21. @ivankiss Been there done that, donated $600k to charity when I was 21 and walked across Australia. @Spiritual Warrior Yeah, there is a strong bias towards negativity that seems to be ingrained into the himan psyche. If 99 things are going well for you and 1 thing is going poorly its almost natural to focus in on that one negative thing. Reminds me of an old sadhguru talk I listened to many years ago:
