Jesus Christ. Who would be retarded enough to be a spiritual leader? I guess if you're gonna do the time, you may as well do the crime.

What is this thread, holy fuck. The first response nailed it.

This horse freed itself from the panopticon prison that is social media. Millennial aura. I view this as a problem for spiritual pursuit as well. If people can't develop a connection with their own authenticity, experience, and growth out of fear the icky bits will be immortalized online, how the hell are they even going to begin the process of transcending themselves, let alone developing into like ... stable functioning ego's with genuine friends and connections.

Imagine trying to say these things to people in like 2018, and being gaslit by everyone into doubting your ability to sense where the puck is going. https://actualized.org/insights/the-frightening-future-of-ai-technology ... the curse of Cassandra

Did I fucking stutter? Certainly, after the first few hundred hours of strong determination sitting where I was doing 3-6 hours a day for nearly a year in my early 20s. This was after enduring Leo's "you're a bitch ass unenlightened pussy if you can't SDS for 4 hours straight" teaching style as a youngster. I switched from a half lotus position to using a seiza bench and found it to be much healthier. Although I took that to an extreme too, when I did 20+ hour sds sits for a creative concept over the course of a week, including the failed attempts of like 15 hours, 13 hours, 18 hours, etc that aren't included here... I didn't have sensation in my anterior tibialis muscles for about 3 months after that. The shit I've done for art 🙃 ... currently balancing out my emotional and psychological development to being a more normal human. On an unrelated note, I've recently learned that headaches and migranes are often a side effect of built up neck tension from poor posture. @Myioko Consider consulting a physiotherapist (also known as a physical therapist in the US) to relieve any neck tension you may have and to teach you healthy sitting posture...

I have actually ... believe it or not. I spent 30 hours on a treadmill clicking through a video game and I got it. I wasn't concerned though as I had previously developed similar symptoms after thousands of hours of sitting meditation in my legs. The parasthesia and weakness subsided after about 2-3 months and I got full functionality and fine motor control of my hand back. Nervous tissue takes a while to heal. Everything will be fine, just keep doing life and don't put too much pressure on it. Maybe try your other hand for a while (:

Currently recovering from some kind of virus that's punched me in the guts. My diet is the worst aspect of my health and really needs work, so I'm going to work on dialling it in over the coming months/year. I've stopped eating red meat almost entirely, but still eat chicken and occasionally fish. I work 30-40hours a week in a labour intensive job, and am studying physiotherapy full time (Finally found my groove!). I have really struggled in the past to get my energy needs through vegetarian and vegan diets, although I only managed to experiment with them for a few months. I only drink alcohol on special occasions, and am prone to binge when that happens >.< but it's not a part of my regular life anymore. I chew nicotine gum, especially if I have a super early start to a day, or if I am sleep deprived, for a dopamine kick. In an ideal world, I would sleep enough, and when I am a qualified physio, it should be great! However, life isn't ideal, and I need to push forward over the next two years. For today, though, just some manuka honey, easily digestible bread and eggs... Ai summary of manuka honey health benefits (of course, the fructose is less than ideal) Mānuka Honey: Why It’s Special & How to Use It What makes mānuka honey different? Botanical origin: Produced by bees foraging on New Zealand/Australian Leptospermum scoparium; nectar rich in DHA that ripens into methylglyoxal (MGO). Grading systems: UMF™: Tests MGO, DHA, leptosperin, HMF; higher numbers (UMF 15+, 20+) = stronger, verified purity. MGO rating: Prints direct MGO mg/kg (e.g. MGO 263 ≈ UMF 10). MPI certification: NZ’s Ministry for Primary Industries uses five chemical markers + DNA to block counterfeits. Evidence‑backed health uses Wound & burn care (topical) – Strong evidence: Medical‑grade dressings speed debridement, curb Staph & Pseudomonas, and shorten healing of burns, diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries. Antibacterial / antibiofilm – Moderate evidence: Lab + early human work shows activity against antibiotic‑resistant S. aureus, H. pylori, and stubborn biofilms. Digestive health – Early human data: 2024 pilot trial: daily intake eased GERD symptoms and balanced gut microbiota. Anti‑inflammatory & antioxidant – Preliminary evidence: Phenolics scavenge free radicals and dampen inflammatory pathways in small studies. Potential anticancer activity – Pre‑clinical only: Extracts slowed estrogen‑positive breast‑tumour growth in mice; no human trials yet. Why these effects occur High MGO (~100–800 mg/kg) damages microbial proteins/DNA. Low water + high sugar osmolarity dehydrates microbes and draws lymphatic fluid into wounds. Acidic pH (~3.4–4.5) hinders bacterial enzymes and boosts oxygen release for tissue repair. Plant polyphenols & leptosperin add antioxidant and immune‑modulating actions. How to choose & use it safely Topical care: Use sterile medical‑grade gels/dressings (often UMF 15+ / MGO 400+); follow clinician advice. Oral use: Typical wellness dose = 1–2 tsp (5–10 g) of UMF 10+ daily; higher grades cost more without proven extra benefit. Check authenticity: Look for UMF™ seal, MGO number, or MPI batch code—if it’s cheap, it’s probably fake. Watch the sugar: ~80 % sugars; people with diabetes should count the carbs. Infants < 12 months: Avoid all honey (botulism risk). Allergy & drug interactions: Start cautiously if allergic to bees/pollen; high‑dose warfarin users should speak to their doctor. Bottom line Mānuka honey has solid evidence for topical wound‑healing and antimicrobial use thanks to its high MGO content. Early research hints at gut, anti‑inflammatory, and anticancer benefits, but larger human trials are needed. Always pick certified UMF‑ or MGO‑labelled jars and treat mānuka as a complementary aid, not a cure‑all.

I have a bachelor's degree in nutrition science. I don't like talking about nutrition because people tend to be very sensitive about it and a lot of 'nutrition science' is murky and biased. It's very important though, and I need to dial in my diet to max out. Enter bro science. Not actually recommended.

It's a nebulous concept brother.

Yeah, currently living in the Lockyer Valley region. My extended family are all farmers, so I've always lived close to nature. I couldn't stand Vegas when I visited, but the surrounding deserts there were breathtaking. Also, I feel that Australia's reputation for deadly animals is a bit overhyped. Statistically, cows are the most lethal animals in the country. There is no shortage of great spots to visit here. Here is a popular rope swing I've been to, among many other lesser-known spots. Brisvegas ftw!

The new books look as tasty as JD Vance's couch...

Az (Aaron) was a year above me at one of the schools I went to. About 15 of us went on a camping trip together once, I doubt he would remember me though. Haha. Small world. Cairns is a great city to visit for natural adventures in Australia, got to come in winter though, the coral reefs are clearer and the deadly jellyfish migrate away for great fishing, snorkelling and diving adventures.

Mourning. She settled upon me as dew in the early morning fields of tenderness. My world shifted an inch as she raised her head, the fluttering of her lashes rousing birds warmly nested within. Her glance pierced me as the golden rays of dawn beckoned all that was natural to summon itself from dreary slumber. Her fingers twinkled in the dewdrop's delicate retreat from the impressions they imparted. Sparrows stretched their wings and quickly leapt downward, with a soft fearlessness. She drew me out and folded me away. My heart mourns. It mourns the loss of late-night driving and walking with you hand in hand, Out into the wide yonder of foreverywhere, where dreams are birthed and all that is false goes to die. It mourns lazy afternoons with you, tucked away in a mundane corner of the world, Etching out something of such little and profound consequence, Before eating a meal together, watching a film together, and then falling asleep together, back into foreverywhere. In here. Where a knotted pulse unwinds and the soul finds reprieve from all its transgressions. Wounded teardrops falling like rain to nourish newborn dreaming. Pain pours out of me as I sink into peaceful loving.
