You have a unique expression that I like. Yes, 'equality' is a value, necessarily involving mind/intellect to conjure. I'd agree that it does have a speerchal component to it, as one gets into the finer granularity of what the mind can conceive/perceive, as it necessarily involves 'otherness'. I'd add that psychology is also the domain of 'self', as in the 'false self'. The false self is an outcome of the mind's limited identification as a separate volitional person (SVP) that is separate from the Whole that simply is, prior to mind, nature, and all its percieved qualities. The realisation of falsity of self, under the scrutiny of one's highest conscious faculties where the 'speerchal' realm of expansiveness opens up, is the only true Freedom from self. After all, what is higher in equality than 'no other'.

It might be a mirror-mirror situation. It happens. -

You can never leave the absolute perspective, and the limited perspective is what is being dreamt (in/via mind) and accepted as limiting 'your' perspective as a 'short-sighted slave who lives wallowing in the mud of his mind'. Pay attention; you're wallowing in mind. But on the bright side, your mind is right (i.e., knows it is lying to itself). The 'absolutely depressing' phase is just that, a phase in the waking up from being trapped on stage, wallowing in mind, and it's natural. That phase, too, will not last. You want clarity on how/why all this is happening. It's about waking up to the irony of one's conditioned thought patterns. The noticing can start to give rise gentle smiles, as the cosmic joke is revealed. -

Yes, what's appearing is what's happening in front of/as/within this NOTHING which is prior to mind. It's a trans-rational simplicity that boggles the mind, because, welp, it's trans-rational, so words will never fully explain it. Words can be weird things; once stated, they're likely to hit anything. 'Tis a good show, and as you know, it sometimes 'feels better' to just not engage the thought structure that 'tries' to give the realization substance, when it is actually the other way around. Nothing wrong with having fun with it, though! Right?!?! -
There is NOTHING. IT touches mind, and in utter simplicity, there's a sense of oneness as expanse. IT touches the intellect (the bifurcator), there's a sense of two/otherness. Throw in a heaping dose of memory, and spin up the bifurcator, and you get the 10,000 thingies with all kinds of causes and effects.

Could be a good sign that you are stirring in your sleep, possibly on the verge of waking up. Many folks don't realize that such 'negativity' is actually part of the process. I'm not saying you're one of them, just speculating without sugarcoating it.

It's a distinction in the capacities for thought, yes. Emotions are born of thought/mind structure. One could say, that once the mind has been engaged with, it becomes responsible for it. Prior to that engagement of mind, one is already, ACTUALLY, Free.

First uncaused action done every morning is waking up. As such, in life, start with waking up first. Then, if so fortunate, stay conscious of when the one has slipped into the dreamstate in which 'this' battles 'that'. Then, if so fortunate, one can see the battle for what it is,,, and there is no one-ended stick. Then, if so fortunate, one need not, but can pick up that stick, knowing they have entered the dreamstate and can remain conscious, even while dreaming...maybe even wield it for effect, or just twirl it for a good show. When things get 'too serious' and litigious, it's always nice to have a court jester around. They can be sincere in their efforts to lighten the load of the sticky thoughts of the dreamstate.

De-program the conditioned mind by questioning its every motive, even the one's that says it needs a practice or a method or a routine. Disclaimer: It may get a little maddening, likely very much so. It's OK. -

Instead of 'non-rational', consider the potential for 'trans-rational'. What is expressed in the post is bound by the mind's logic/hope/desire/etc, though the spiritually incorrect aspect of it is commendable. It's not so much about all things 'good', 'moral', or 'spiritual', but about Truth. -

Because the quest requires authenticity, and one begins to see how one has been inauthentic all one's life. When you see people playing the same tricks on themselves or acting unconsciously, it reminds you of certain aspects you may have or are in the process of transcending. There are lies the mind tells itself, and they are usually unconscious ones. 'Tis a strange thing, indeed. I do not know if that helps or not. Just throwing it out there. -

If what you're saying is authentic, it is very auspicious and there are pointers that might be of help. -
That's fine, and is what most people try. You will find temporary relief in the relative world of appearances (mind, philosophies, practices, seeking out and obtaining desires, etc), and maybe that will be enough for this lifetime. All good. You want "peace" from the daily panic attacks, just enough that you are comfortabe with the degree of their sincerity, perhaps. Existential suffering that is often spoke of will linger on in the background, subdued by the sense/illusion of control, but life generally (in what might be considered a circular fashion) will continue to provide opportunities to trascend the same repetitive boundaries/beliefs, and it will form a pattern in your life. Just stay aware, and when the time is right, you might remember this discussion and giggle a bit. What I was referring to is that you will never find the "control/answer" you're looking at the level of the problem; trasncending it and seeing it for what it is IS actually what you would want to attempt to do. That you think you deserve something (i.e, the ability to transcend the panic attacks/anxiety) that you don't already have is indicative of your mind playing tricks. The panic attacks are the outcomes of several unconscious beliefs, at the core of which is the belief in a separate self. Carry on.

@Nivsch Control is an illusion; awareness of what is happening in the mind is not. As Oneness becomes more conscious of the conditioned aspects of mind, many of the things one "wants to control" gradually fall away. The actual power ones seeks is in becoming more conscious. And let's be clear, most attempts at meditation and the like are about that seeking. Thus, it might be said, that after meditation has played out its role, simply doing more meditation might actually be seen as a desire to control which, again, is an illusion. Meditation is only meant to slow down the momentum of the conditioned reactions of the mind one seeks to control, to create space, and to make the mind more prone to realization, the true diamond that emerges acausally. The Peace that passeth all understanding.

@Moksha Exactamente. Peeps expect to be able to go back and get it again... when IT's right HERE, right NOW... even before the thought of IT. Just BE ... effortlessly. -
kbone replied to LostSoul's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@LostSoul It's normal. You had a woweezowee realization of having found something that you never lost. Perhaps there was some sense of accomplishment or spiritual ego that took over. Then, as you thought about it more, you started to think about what happened. You look back and try to emulate the "state of mind" experience, try to think about "how/why" it happened, try to get that clarity you felt, try to empty, etc etc. Now, you're having thoughts about having lost something that you "maybe" didn't find, but had previously realized you never lost. And believing them. Terribly confusing... when you think about it. Sound about right? Have you ever thought about where this whole story takes place when THAT (which YOU actually are) is / has been/ always will be HERE, prior to that whole shebang...? P.S.: Yes, it can be very annoying.... until Oneness gets it. Until then, the mind doth protest. P.P.S.: It's OK to lose your soul. It's an aspect of the process of getting it. -

Maybe already in archives, but perhaps we could have ONE thread for ALL recommended OSHO essays. After all, there are hundreds available. It might help to minimize “new topics”. That said, PLEASE feel free to recommend certain essays for your reasons! It's ALL good. Osho Collection ?
