  1. @Forestluv You've given me a lot of food for thought, thank you.
  2. How do you determine if you're being arrogant or confident?
  3. @integral In an altruistic sense, how are balance & equality differentiated?
  4. @Megan Alecia Interesting perspective, thank you.
  5. Why do see men & women as always having the same fundamental attractions? Could this not be your own perception & personal experience? After all, you haven't had a relationship with every woman in the world. This "fundamental" understanding could very well be only the women you've been with as a result of who you are & how you are perceived by others. Could you emphasize more as to why you see these as being fundamental rather than being purely perceptional & dogmatic?
  6. What other teachers aside from Leo Gura do you know that have either written helpful books, talked at seminars, or do as Leo does through blogging & video-making?
  7. @Eternity Would you mind posting a link to that section, I'm having trouble finding it. Also I'd love to hear the one's you follow as well. Thank you.
  8. Lets provide a valuable area to helping others properly understand the terms heard amongst spiritual, existential, & self-help teachings. Through means of this thread: Ex: WORD: God DEFINITIONS: - One who is all & all who is one. - The creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority - The supreme or ultimate reality NOTES: When someone refers to the concept of god, this concept is best understood as a nature that encompasses all of your being. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH: - An external source outside of yourself. - An old man with a beard up in the clouds dictating rules for how you should live your life. And of course, we can correct & give constructive criticism to better define those definitions that are more biased & unfavorable to truth.
  9. Weather it be porn, FWB's, one-time hookups, long-term relationships, etc. What is your general consensus of what a healthy sexual relationship looks like? When I say healthy, I personally mean a relationship that still easily incorporates the pursuing of enlightenment & fulfillment of spiritual practices. What does a healthy sexual relationship look like to you? I'd love to hear some new perspectives to better go about my ways of doing things sexually.
  10. I've been thinking about this, & I'd love to hear some different takes on this question. Do you think having morals is what causes arrogance?
  11. Does anyone have any resources, advice, books, etc. on this topic of different perspectives pertaining to what defines a healthy sexual relationship?
  12. @hyruga Thats paradoxical reasoning there. You're using "shoulds" as means to explain what "shoulds" are. Not to say it's not true, but it still leaves a lot of plot holes within the explanation of where morals reside & how they intertwine with arrogance.
  13. @Leo Gura Why is it that the various feelings & intuitions you speak about throughout your videos, are labeled as they are? For example, why is truth labeled as truth? Is there no better label that can be used? Why do you label that feeling as “truth”, & not something else? Why do you label that other feeling as “god”, & not something else? I feel it may be important to know why you've labeled them the way you have.
  14. @Origins Is this is to say we have inherent morals without ever having had arrogance? Morals are not a result of ego? And if they are not, how does that work? Where to the morals stem from? Are they simply a feeling or some form of direct experience that can't explained through words?
  15. What makes you think social media is either necessary or unnecessary & why?
  16. Perhaps morals come from arrogance, which in turn, comes from ego... Yet seemingly, someone can also be arrogant, because they're moral. Another potential paradox. Or simply neither one comes before the other, they're intertwined & can't live without the one another.
  17. So as of right now, you don't see it as a necessity? Or are you saying you think it's invaluable, even with all the propaganda it's used for and that some day, you hope to see it positively changed by competition or otherwise? Judging from that view, it's difficult to see its potential in our modern culture. I too would like to see social media prosper in that way, though it is very difficult to see it changing anytime soon. I'm aware that the definite answer is "social media isn't the one with the issue, you are the one with the issue", however as much as I'm not for modern social media, It seems to be a necessity to socialize easily within our society. Especially within my generation & the ones following close behind. To clarify, I've also deleted all my social media. I'm just curious as to what other's opinions are on the subject.
  18. How does loneliness fade away? Where does it come from?
  19. Never thought of it like that. That can also make a lot of sense.
  20. This would be very helpful! What models have you personally viewed so far?
  21. I recently recommended a couple of your videos to some of my family recently, & they ended up skimming through the videos I sent, making extremely arrogant & poor assumptions about your concepts. I sent one of them your "What is the Devil?" video, & one other; "Making sense of psychedelics". I'm curious about your thoughts on the topic of arrogance/ignorance, why it is so prevalent in our culture, how to understand it, & how you would go about transcending it. I would love to have the knowledge to be able to dissect arrogance when I see it, & find out where its coming from. All replies appreciated!
