@Moksha So a possible reason I am having trouble defining ego is because I haven't yet enlightened myself enough to see what what it really is. Is this to say ego may only be able to to be truly understood through enlightenment & any other definition is not true in absolute?

What are some good examples of people with seemingly little-to-no awareness of consciousness?

What factors are most important when choosing to move somewhere whilst also pursuing truth? I'm looking to move in several months, & I was interested in any ideas other's might have as to where to go. If it were anywhere in the world, where would you choose to live & why? I ask, is because I'm finding it difficult narrowing down one good place I could call home. What things should I be looking for, to live in a place that accommodates the pursuit of enlightenment & truth? So far, I have these factors taken into account: - Highly prone to natural disasters - Sociability - Cost of living - Amount of healthy grocery stores - Best soil quality - Best water quality - Best air quality - Best weather year-round - Most eco-friendly - Population - Depression rates - Most walking-friendly Anything I'm missing? I've found that, when looking for reviews on certain places, the reviews are very scattered & biased. To the point to where I don't know how to determine if they're truthful or not. Anything helps, thank you!

Can the ego be transcended? What is the value of the ego in the limited human form it comes in? Once adequate levels of enlightenment have occurred, does the ego still continue to coincide human existence? What value does the ego hold within existence? Does it hold any practicality aside from the survival needs it places onto human form? Is the concept of ego unfathomable to one who is not adequately enlightened or egocentric? I'm finding that I'm having a hard time grasping what the ego is exactly. What is the best possible explanation of the ego that can be explained through language?

Actually a better question; what is the difference between ego & consciousness?

I hope many would love to hear your ideas about how the ego & consciousness interact. Now I understand that the ego is actually consciousness. However, I think it is very useful, helpful, & fascinating to know how each one compliments & denounces one another. Essentially, I'd like to hear your insight as to how you see each mechanism working together? How do they intertwine & hold balance? What is required for them to hold a healthy balance? What makes a healthy relationship between consciousness & ego?

@Rilles Exactly, so how does that work? How does the illusion of ego interact with consciousness? What creates the illusion? How can the ego best represent itself in the limited form it is, whilst being aware of consciousness?

@anxious_turtle @Moksha I understand that. Though as of right now, my ego is not as easily manageable as perhaps it would be, if I were in a more loving environment. A place of peace for the ego can create transcendence of it's need for a peaceful place.
