  1. Actualized Quotes #388 Music is the ontology of the universe!!
  2. @theleelajoker do you think people are mostly unable to recognise peace? Let alone happiness. Just about everyone close to me conflates pleasure and happiness. And equates peace to boredom. And I admit, it has been only through spiritual process that I, myself, been able to identify peace and crave it deeply. Prior to taking this work seriously I was not even able to sustain a stable, honest relationship with someone without forfeiting my own sovereignty (and therefore, peace). I think we come onto this world never knowing seperation. Conditioning through experience teaches us to perceive we are seperate to survive. As we move up Maslow's hierarchy the 'false self' becomes like a vestigial limb to be discarded. With all of its fears and falsehoods. But these are just my thoughts triggered by your insight 🙏
  3. @zazen I tend to agree with this. I do not know your understanding of 4th wave feminism, but to my understanding, much of it has the propensity and hazard of crossing over into misandry. I do not even consider 4th wave feminism to be really acheiving anything as positive as 1/2/3rd. I feel like the first 3 waves focused on women defining themselves and their sovereignty. And 4th turned outward to trying to dismantle and confront power structures/hierarchy. Equality of outcome is questionable to me, obviously it depends on what we mean. But I see it suppressing incentive structures, requiring force and ignoring natural variance. The real tension comes from the fact that we are simply not all the same. I can see why people argue for it - it can reduce extreme inequality, can prevent inherent advantage compounding forever and can help stabilise societies. It is usually the costs that come into question. I do not consider myself a feminist because I do not agree with all of the sentiments of 4th wave. And I openly admit my understanding of it is limited.
  4. @LastThursday this is a good point. It can be another thing for the ego to cling to if we aren't careful. Another ground or conditioning to work on.
  5. Skip to 44:02 - what? Obama says aliens are real
  6. I know the feeling. I don't have the answer. This sentiment you speak of - I feel swamped by it when I am around people who take themselves SO SERIOUSLY. We create these personas to slap over our eyes - we create little egos to survive - all because of fear. Fear is the ultimate deception. All division comes from it - it is the opposite of loving unity behind it all. But that fear is more real to people than love. That's where I see most getting caught. Acceptance and judgement. Most bullshit comes from this axis. They cannot even see their 'self' is different from one year to the next. That it is not fixed. But they act like it is... Hell. I am not even vaguely the same self I was 6 months ago! We fail from the start because we believe in separation.
  7. I think we should keep discussions like this around content and not competence. We cannot keep approaching topics as if things are self-evident. Assuming error without demonstration or that discernment is simple or objective. Lines of questioning or statements that place us in an elevated positioning of 'knowing which is which', or positioning ourselves as the 'competent discerner' are sly egoic manipulations of status. Goes for everyone on this forum. I have seen Leo do this. I am guilty of this. It goes against open inquiry. Against truth. Integrity. And above all, steers away from unity. We should be attempting to breach the barriers between us all. Barriers that are illusory. This is the only way to truly understand what we are each speaking about. Anything else is ego. Unity, infinity. The collapse of all distinction. Love 🤍
  8. He needs an executive assistant to whip him and keep him on track 😈
  9. 'Real' teacher? You should probably define what you mean by that for @Davino, prior to assigning him your language. It might be useful to ask who & what we take from each teacher. Assumptions and inferences.
  10. @Ramasta9 I use candle light only in my apartment for the last 2 hours of the evening. It only sucks in the summer though, as candles surprisingly generated A LOT of heat. Unscented soy candles. Scented ones block my nose and I worry about things in the air and my poodle. I read a kindle during that time 😊
  11. @Ramasta9 yes there is something so grounded and connected when pen is put to paper. My thoughts flow in a more confluent and coherent way. Slowed and stopped by the physical process my hand needs to move through to tattoo the letters on the page. I find pen on paper is easier, less constipated and clearer when I am writing about my inner most emotional states. Any intuitive idea that is not clear to me, suddenly becomes clear as I write. Almost as if it is not any conscious thought coming out. Pen and paper feels like it taps unconscious mind and intuition in a different way. It helps to elaborate on the fine nuances in emotional states; I am better able to make distinctions between worry, anxiety, concern, pressure etc rather than just feel a general 'negative' low energy state. But when I have ideas or insights, sometimes typing is better to 'get them out' rapidly. I like to get mind/intellectual insights out quick so I can disconnect any ego from them and feel cleaner. I think both are useful on different ways. Experiment! Overall I find it very important to 'empty' out my emotional states, daily. Through writing, mantras, typing etc. Empty it all and let it go. Sometimes I scream into pillows or bark at my dog. I appreciate your words and the tag - even if I feel they are underserved 🤍
  12. 'Love is the only thing that is real' This guy has some good body language reading ability. First time I came across him, he made many statements from observation I agreed with and noticed in my interpretations. He makes a distinction here between Love and love. Thanks for the share 🤍
  13. In closing. I notice we have some users open - willing to consider many possibilities. Some users closed - certain of their conclusions. Remaining open can mean we never take a stance and use our rationality. But being certain of our conclusions, especially when we do not know, is the other side of the coin of this fools game. Beware of drawing conclusions and meaning making. The truth is never an idea, deduction, meaning, assumption or inference.
  14. Yep, which is why I added that we are all different and respond as such 🙂
  15. You just need a hug and a kiss - MUAH!
  16. Pretty much I don't even get angry with these threads though - more confused as to how people just suck up internet rhetoric with no critical thinking or assessment. Algorithms most likely. Also, we tend to just echo group think of the top 5 people in our lives... It is like people enjoy self-bamboozling >.<
  17. I've read about this stuff also - but what about the timescales vs population? The timescales proposed don't work. To be clear I am not talking about ET's doing this. I am just pointing out an issue with current theories. I do not 'supposedly' work in construction. Sneaky sneaky trying to discredit
  18. Nice dodge my man - how about you answer @Elliott's question.
  19. The problem is you do not even see it. Totally and utterly unconscious.
  20. Same thing you pulled regarding your generalization regarding women - see what I did there? And the men who work on construction sites are ace. Much respect to them. I work with some of the greatest men. Turn up. Get shit done. Stoic, respectful to the women who order them around (me). But they do engage in the same behavior you accuse women of solely engaging in. You cherry pick as it favors your rhetoric. You are sexist - and you are heading for points if you keep up this men vs women crap you like to seed and sprout throughout the forum.
  21. You might be thinking of this example from a severely restricted domain - women sacrifice in other domains. IE children. We all wouldn't be here without our mothers sacrifice, as an example. Damn my man - you ever been on a construction site? I've worked on TONS. Men engage in this behavior just as much. Same across sexes. And this is from what I have seen, experienced & what my 3 brothers and father report. Def same across the sexes.
  22. Indeed, just look at some of the recent arguments regarding Love around here... or, shall we say, the grand lack OF it (embodiment and conceptually)!
  23. Thank you, Leo.
  24. Sleep is top priority for me. I do not mess with it if I can help it. You feel the effects much more keenly as you gain in years too. Do you eat close to bed time? I ask because I backload my main meal in a similar manner to you - my largest, most voluminous meal is in the evening - however - eating within 3 hours of sleep is a no go for me. We are all different, but when I eat a large meal too close to sleep, my heartrate is usually higher and I do not enter deep sleep cycles as easily. I track this with a Garmin (so big grain of salt as these are inference devices) and see my sleep cycles, resting heart rate and heart rate variability. But above and beyond this I *feel* more rested, am more alert and calmer, and have more stamina on the days following a larger meal outside of 3 hours before bed. I fall asleep much quicker and require less sleep. I typically eat 5 meals - break my fast at 11am, last meal at 6pm. My daytime meals are the most calorie dense, with my evening meal consisting of small amount of protein and mostly fresh vegetables with EVOO. But a big plate. No caffeine after noon. Stop water intake at 7pm. Hard cardio every morning within an hour or two (outdoors in the sun) of waking seems to reset my clock to sleep at a good hour. I fall asleep within 5 minutes of laying down.
