  1. HAHAHA @UnbornTao He wins. Who needs a solid foundation when we can grow legs and shindig into the next dimension?!
  2. @Inliytened1 definitely Did Leo, in the example, say she was corrupt though? I don't recall that particular detail but I could be wrong
  3. Thank you @Leo Gura! Well received. @Inliytened1 I can see what you are getting at with that one. I took it to mean the girl was prioritizing and valuing her feeling states over truth. Typical ostrich head in the sand while a tornado runs over scenario. She was immature and didn't understand love and its connection to truth, intimacy and the ultimate union it represents by breaking down the barriers we think are present. She felt that feelings were the driver to intimacy, rather than honesty/truth breaking down the barriers between her and her lover, leading to true authentic intimacy. Truth, to her, hurt her feelings. So she dismissed it. She thought preserving positive internal feeling states was her highest value. Preserving her feelings acted to shield herself, which actually destroyed her ability to truly see the man in front of her by building up a barrier around her. The opposite direction to union, God etc I mean, *I* could be wrong with the above. Just how I perceived the point being made.
  4. Oop I think the bias came out
  5. @Ishanga I am merely pointing out the arrogance of thinking you know what is best for others. Life ebbs and flows. At some points, seekers need words to act as pointers for them to go different directions. Sometimes, we need some friction against our ideas by engaging in debates to further refine our own clarity and nuance. Sometimes, we aren't in a stage where we are prepared or comfortable to be out 100% engaging in only the trees, nature, forest, people. Often the only way out, is through. Some users here are labouring under a lot of mental suffering, and this place can be a great support for the dark night of the soul. There is something to be gained in these forums. Naturally people outgrow them and move on. And return. Or do not. There is no correct path. So, for you to claim there is, is arrogance. And the reason I called this out, is because I fall prey to this myself. I think I know best for others in many cases. I have to actively check myself every time I consider dispensing advice. Who am I to know what is best? What am I trying to achieve with this conversation? I just think you recite general platitudes about what is good without any context or nuance. Just a pattern I have noticed. And it could be that it is simply virtue signalling on your behalf, I do not know. But there is something there that you are doing that should prompt some self enquiry.
  6. I think this is a more mature and nuanced perspective. It's like Jordan Peterson - his shit on psychology etc can be top notch! But then there is a whole lot of crap he claims and gets into that is way off the mark. Discernment 😊
  7. @UnbornTao He has captured form, rendered colour. Textures of the bark. A sturdy rooted base and trunk as foundation to swing from the heights above 😅 I'M TRYING OKAY 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
  8. It has changed for sure. All things evolve and change, nothing remains the same. I think there was a greater variety of perspectives and a lot more pragmatism back then. People stay for a time in spaces until they outgrow them, in my experience.
  9. Many many posts on the forum regarding awakening. Judging those on the path. Judging what we talk about as a 'measure if how awake you are'. 'Awake people wouldn't do this, or that, or whateverthefuck' 'Why ask this' 'Who is asking?' Just stop. You are going the opposite way - union is the goal If you have been doing the work for a time, you know it is a journey. You are the process. This is a hugely underrated video from Leo (get ready for the old-school Zen-stick Leo). I personally revisit this one often. If anyone has glossed over this once or missed it entirely - or resisted it (You should look into that :P) I highly recommend it. Newbies, veterans, awakened... one of the images will resonate. Enjoy:
  10. @Meeksauce Try to witness your compulsive behaviour here. Why are you feeling so compelled to reply? There is so much unconscious reflexive behaviour you are displaying. You aren't capable of addressing ANYTHING anyone in this thread has raised - you just move the goalposts or repeat yourself. I feel so bad for you with how oblivious you are. Doesn't this feel humiliating?
  11. He has awakened to feeling inferior and incomplete - so to feel better/bigger/superior/a man WE MUST SQUASH OTHERS
  12. You can keep repeating yourself all you like mate, but you got more holes than Swiss cheese 🤣 0/10
  13. No. You simply cannot. And there is no way to argue your case. Interesting to note that you are professing something from a total assumption with NO evidence while also preaching about direct experience... I suppose you have direct experience of all of our direct experience ay? I almost cannot stop laughing
  14. This comes from ignorance though - you have to admit this. You have no way to know any such thing.
  15. It might be helpful to recognise we do not always know what is best for others
  16. Even the 'second coming of Christ' is meant to illude to the Christ consciousness arising within you. That you awaken to it. Surrender. I think the Christian religion can mess it up as the translations have been messed up from original Hebrew. Many Christians literally think Christ will rise again... Whether Jesus existed or not is hearsay - but the motif is repeated all over the place
  17. @Mellowmarsh @OBEler Agree and same same. I appreciate the space and Leo managing it! OP is just in the middle of e-battles so his perspective is skewed at the present time !
  18. Language can only act as a pointer - words are not precisely what they label. Light could mean light weight, light from the sun, light sleeper etc Without proper context the word is meaningless. Language is tricky, and can only give general direction with deep topics.
  19. @Princess Arabia By no means was I trying to argue a case etc - I really appreciate the topic because it made me really dive into the whole thing I like the open ended nature of a lot of what you raise on the forum, because in trying to grasp the concept, I become aware of assumptions I make myself!
  20. I take it from this you took on Jesus as a belief prior to realizing some truth? 'pursuing' Would you say that you caused the issues by choosing to partake in ayahuasca ceremonies? You could look at it as actions needed to be taken to reveal him to you. Just interested in what you think may have happened to you without the self generated issues that arose after ayahuasca ceremonies. Possibility exists the issues were always there I also take it to mean you think some external force healed you and it wasn't your own doing? No bad intent meant, I am just curious as my own family have different takes on their own experiences with Jesus
  21. I think maybe there is some confusing stuff going on for me here. There definitely needs to be some clarity around when we are speaking from the Absolute and the relative. It seems to me there is flip flopping between the two in an attempt to raise a concept. I could be wrong. How can senses be absolute? Take awareness of sense perception. When seeing the cow - if we both perceive it with the eyes - each pair of eyes detect different light waves in the retina, not the exact same light bouncing off the cow. When smelling the cow, neither of us can detect the exact same particles of scent at the same time - both noses interact with different particles. When hearing the moo from the cow - each pair of ears here a different part of the wavelength of the sound as it transverses the medium to our ears. When tasting the cow - we each cannot lick its arse at precisely the same spot at the same time. We lick the particles and experience different particles each. When touching the cow, we cannot each touch the same part of the fur of the cow at the same time. It is always a different part of the cow. So we cannot, in fact, sense the cow at the same time. We are only AGREEing there is a concept of a cow. Mental agreement. All we seem to be doing is agreeing on the fact there is a 'cow' as a concept. The sound, the vision, the touch and taste/smell all come together and we call that a 'cow'. You can see here there is an ontological claim that materialism makes to the cow existing. We are sort of brainwashed into believing in the cow ay? From birth. If we try to extrapolate to the Absolute? There is just awareness of stuff we call cow. You and I, we each perceive a 'cow' with senses and thought definition. Behind us is awareness. That is all. Empty awareness. Subject. If we say this awareness (or consciousness) is shared, then it follows there are an infinity of cow perceptions (because we cannot sense the EXACT SAME cow as per above). Infinite projections or spotlights, all slightly different, all projecting parts that make up what we call 'cow'. If we go further and render this as an illusion - and we are the same awareness, we all agree to perceive in such a way to see a cow in a cohesive conceptual manner. So, the illusion is real because each awareness (that is one) all agree there is a cow. Because there is no other to disagree there is a cow. It's just one. Awareness/consciousness is all one and it doesn't disagree. So, the cow is projected into existence as perception in a million different forms / perspectives / frames from the single awareness, each with its own unique sense perception and mind. Each consciousness sees a different part of the illusion that comes together as the reality of the 'cow' and doesn't disagree with itself as to the cow existing because... it's one. No one to disagree... All partake in the illusion of matter and time. Fuck I dunno lol
  22. I agree, which is why it started banging around in my head without an answer 😀
  23. Glad it resonated I really enjoy examples of how spiritual work directly applies to reality. Considering how spirituality runs in opposite directions to survival. This chap really elaborated quite well on how an insight integrated totally unravels false beliefs
