That's the difference between a thought that feels bad because it's wrong and feeling. You're owning feeling in order to keep on believing shitty thoughts. That feel bad. So it feels bad. Your expression of this inspired my own rant. Imagine being able to see just how brilliant, loved and beautiful people are. Like... they just fucking glow. You know. You know. Even they feel it. The reason they feel negative emotion is because they keep insisting on believing thought about themselves to the contrary. They've got it entirely twisted around. Their relationship to self, to emotion. They think they are the opposite of what they really are. How the fuck, do you convince someone how loved they really are? When you are, all you feel for them, all you see that that brilliant love, how do you? Imagine that you're Dumbledore or Hagrid, looking in on Harry Potter living with the Dursleys. You know he is magic. You love him. You know great things are in store for him, revelations, love, adventure. But he doesn't know this yet. His letter for Hogwarts hasn't arrived yet. It will. It gets better. You aren't Harry Potter. You aren't a hero. You don't have to prove yourself. You're the author. What you don't know is that you wrote this. You wrote this. You know it, don't you? You wrote this. You get to... YOU GET TO write your letter to Hogwarts. You get to write this how you want it to go. You don't know how powerful you really are. How loved, you really are. The love is in your love, the love of character is primarily love of/from author. You get to dis-cover it. There's no cover to this book. No beginning, no end.

@lmfao You are intelligent, creative, and passionate. You could tell yourself something like that. But you aren't in it. The resistance to it creates the sense of something that must be resisted.

I haven't seen it, I'm one of the idiots who read the books that will never be finished. He wrote them to get out of his system I guess, what he couldn't write for the screen. But then the times changes and people were like "this is just what we're looking for!". She was sold as a child bride into marriage by her brother.

You can't even know your next thought, because there is no end of one and start to another. This is your next thought. Whose thought is it? Has it ended? -

@Salvijus What is the snake art thing? -
Hahaha! Everyone is afraid of the lower levels. It's a grave situation. Failure. fail (v.) c. 1200, "be unsuccessful in accomplishing a purpose;" also "cease to exist or to function, come to an end;" early 13c. as "fail in expectation or performance," from Old French falir "be lacking, miss, not succeed; run out, come to an end; err, make a mistake; be dying; let down, disappoint" (11c., Modern French faillir), from Vulgar Latin *fallire, from Latin fallere "to trip, cause to fall;" figuratively "to deceive, trick, dupe, cheat, elude; fail, be lacking or defective." De Vaan traces this to a PIE root meaning "to stumble" (source also of Sanskrit skhalate "to stumble, fail;" Middle Persian škarwidan "to stumble, stagger;" Greek sphallein "to bring or throw down," sphallomai "to fall;" Armenian sxalem "to stumble, fail"). If so, the Latin sense is a metaphorical shift from "stumble" to "deceive." Related: Failed; failing.

How about intrinsic motivation? Are you trying to get somewhere because you don't like where you are? What do you love to do?

It's like wrapping paper on presents I guess. Sometimes it seems like some asshole used duck tape instead of scotch tape though. Not sure I'd call it important though. The whole idea of "importance" is itself sort of infused with fear. -
Oh... there isn't a hell. I mean.. there isn't a hell. This is a religion sending some to hell and some to heaven. "Ego backlash." "Suffering as a teacher." "Ego" "You haven't gotten it yet." "Levels of realization." But there isn't a hell. hell (n.) also Hell, Old English hel, helle, "nether world, abode of the dead, infernal regions, place of torment for the wicked after death," from Proto-Germanic *haljō "the underworld" (source also of Old Frisian helle, Old Saxon hellia, Dutch hel, Old Norse hel, German Hölle, Gothic halja "hell"). Literally "concealed place" (compare Old Norse hellir "cave, cavern"), from PIE root *kel- (1) "to cover, conceal, save." "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open." -Jesus

@Gregory1 Alright, I'll use it on myself. I was thrilled to learn about Spiral Dynamics when Leo's videos came out on it. It finally allowed me to love those stage blue assholes I hated most of my life. Watched men (and women) turning God into some big projected archetypal Dick in the sky that allowed them to also be a dick, lord it over others and think they were good for doing it all my life. Then I realized I was above that. They were like children. Undeveloped. I could forgive them. And what was I doing then? The same thing I hated them for doing. Then I realized that was just myself. There wasn't a them. There wasn't a God that existed or didn't exist. There wasn't a me. There do appear to be some people who project God as some magical Dick in the sky. There's no development. No higher than, No bigger than. There just isn't. -

The problem and impossibility lies with "you yourself". Permanent? As opposed to...? Is there a question of permanency? Highest of all truths? When God is supposedly the Maker of Highs and Lows you think he limits himself to the highs? The highest high imagined would always be a step down. All the way? Wouldn't the end of what has no beginning always be a shortcoming? -

@TruthSoldier The thing about joy and beauty is that it's here in real time (now) and it's for you. There are no levels in it. There is no reservation of it. Levels are for thought. The actual feeling of joy and beauty are for the you that is beyond thought or possible separation... for all. -

If that's what your saying, and it's just a word, then why on earth the skepticism of Rupert Spira's teachings? God is your creation. Also by passing stuff off as "stage blue" people maintain a lot of the same belief structure of stage blue. Especially that of a hierarchy and levels of realization of those who "get it" and those who don't. This is hidden in the assumption that they are "above" stage blue. So. Fucking. Sneaky. Seriously, it might be good to go observe what it's really like. -

@Gregory1 I challenge you to attend five services at a Baptist church. Then come back and tell me about how special the word "God" is. -

If I was God, I'd hide the highest wisdom in children's books. -
Yeah, when you play a game, it's a game. Scores matter and rating on a scale of 1 to 10 is how we keep score. Love and connection is something else if that's what you want. It can't be judged or measured. It can't be a game. It's a reward unto itself. Don't settle for less. This is the REAL not settling. STOP. You are where you are. It's perfect. Endearing even. As I said before this is about nothing but letting go of these thoughts. The world is your oyster. Don't settle. Don't settle for thoughts that feel crappy. Don't settle for limiting beliefs. Really, don't settle.

I highly doubt that's even close to the truth. Women don't care about looks. The ones that do project their insecurity on you. Because looks for women are made into such a big deal in society, that's a common issue. But it's not an issue at all, as long as you understand it has nothing to do with you or how you look. More Disney movies like Brave and plus size Victoria Secret models will hopefully make this less of an issue for future generations. It's a huge blockage to intimacy. The karma of it hurts men as much as it does women, if not more. All it's made up of are self doubting thoughts. These can be dropped. Take a picture of yourself outside then. As a happily married lady in her 30's I'll even give you feedback on your pics and profile if you want. But even so, it's just an opinion and doesn't mean anything. To be honest I've never used online dating myself, my only experience is with it hanging out with my female friends who did it and seeing profiles there. There are sites that are much better than others for actual relationships. Tinder isn't great for that from what I've heard, it's more in the hookup bar/club scene category. Just look and ask around for good dating sites. Discord is ok, but find a site you can talk to local girls you can actually meet in person. That's awesome that you've already started opening up more. Songs on a guitar... see? I just don't think you fully appreciate how much you have to offer.

Oh God. Except we know how Daenerys got laid. ??? A man wrote that book too.

Why don't you do online dating? I think you would do well there. You're a good communicator, you're engaging, friendly, honest. Your communication via writing is very good. I have a hard time believing that girls wouldn't like you off the bat. There are tons of girls in the world who want to have, good, deep conversations and I'm assuming you'd like the same kind back. Your inexperience in that scenario is more honest and endearing than a set back. In a club or bar scene it's much more out of place. Even if that's what you really want, I have a hard time believing that you wouldn't be very quick to loosen up to being able to express yourself as well in person. There are a lot of people who cannot even express themselves or connect via text writing in conversation. I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill. Essentially it's all about going for what you want and letting go of thoughts that say "I can't".

Again, I can make tacos, pizza and burgers fantastically healthy. Small changes over time. Youi don't have to give up what you like, adapt it over time.

@Rilles was a bit worried he was missing out on something.

Ok. When you buy chocolate buy a slightly darker version. When you drink juice put a little water in it. When you eat ice cream pour some almond milk over it (mix it all up, it's SO good, way better than straight ice cream.) Over time your tastes will adjust. Keep buying darker chocolate, add more water to the juice and add more milk to your ice cream. Then you can cut them out if you want. Although, there's nothing that unhealthy about dark chocolate, water spiked with juice and an almond milk milkshake. That all might sound gross now but it won't be over time. Your tastes are in flux, they aren't set. If you try to make a big leap too fast you won't allow them time to change. There's really NO fruit or veggie you like? No favorites?

"God made man in his image." image (n.) c. 1200, "piece of statuary; artificial representation that looks like a person or thing," from Old French image "image, likeness; figure, drawing, portrait; reflection; statue," earlier imagene (11c.), from Latin imaginem (nominative imago) "copy, imitation, likeness; statue, picture," also "phantom, ghost, apparition," figuratively "idea, appearance," from stem of imitari "to copy, imitate" (from PIE root *aim- "to copy"). https://www.etymonline.com/search?q=image It's like paying a dime to copy a nickle when really, you're unlimited Currency. "I can't believe no one's ever thought of this before." It is pretty funny though.
