Yet common citizens (not corrupt governments) are becoming more and more critical of Israel's devilry Its reputation, especially among younger people is reaching new lows Even in USA! https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2026/06/04/most-people-across-36-countries-have-negative-views-of-israel-and-little-confidence-in-netanyahu/ Their propaganda does not work that well anymore Especially with non boomers that use the internet and social media

Finally USA is moving from Orange with some Green to solid Green when it comes to demoratic party candidates! -
I remind you that the ones that are wanted for war crimes and crimes against humanity are not those religious people Likud is also horrible
-
Thank you very much @Nivsch It helps deepining our understanding Personally, I cannot talk much about Israel itself because I do not live there My concern is mostly about the whole Palestine topic and how Israel conducts itself when it comes to Israeli politics On that topic, only Yair seems to be reasonable and actually care about international law The rest seem from bad to horrible Note: I am talking in terms of Jewish parties, not the Arab one you sent which obviously will be more sympathetic to Palestinians

Trump for sure has a role to play in this Probably Israel too USA has huge influence in Morocco and Spain went against USA and Israel It makes logical sense for them to punish Spain through this What is so weird about it? Both Trump and Bibi are as shameless as it gets

I saw it To be fair I was referring to something else You see when some people including you talk about a civilized society, you mean things like LGBTQ, women in work spaces etc At least the video was about that in a way that you sent I am referring to something else I am referring to the methods that they deal with who they perceive to be an enemy A civilized society would not snipe kids nor use starvation as a method of warfare A civilized society would not terrorize people to kick them out of their homes (West Bank) A civilized society would worry when all human rights group say they are causing grave crimes against humanity A civilized society does not use disproportionate force to deal with threats A civilized society does not torture nor rape and debate this in parliament, whether rape is ok or not A civilized society views the enemy as human just like them but with a different set of believes and views, it does not dehumanize them This is what I am referring to -

To be fair I have seen many polls in Israel where 80% or more support ethcnic cleansing or genocide It is not "some people" it is the majority -

Do those outweight desire for genocide and ethnic cleansing? To me a genocidal society becomes null regardless of how great other things may be like gdp or technology. Nazis were also pretty techonology advanced and organized. Yet they are seen as bad because they were genocidal. I feel you are too harsh on them. I have seen tons of interviews with them and many are reasonable. Especially in West Bank. Hartd to be chill when you lost half ur family in strikes like Gazans have. Given how much Palestinians have suffered they could have been a lot worse . Their issue is how stubborn they are more than anything. The religious part is mostly some Hamas nutcases, the majority are nationalists not religious zealots. If you see interviews about regular palestinians their motivation is about getting the land they lost back and justice, not global jihad. Neither was Hitler of Stalin. Does not mean they were nice guys or guys you should befriend Putin is also not a religious fanatic yet I see way more demonization of Putin then Bibi When Trump tried to treat Putin with some resemblance of how he treats Bibi, everyone in USA lost their shit I personally find Bibi's war crimes much worse than Putins -
Is this based on who you would like or who realistically will become? Also unrelated question, is there any typical Stage Green party in Israel? All ones I saw seemed either Blue or Orange to me Something like "peace, love, equality" blla blla party I would give you European examples if you know about European politics

A true Atheist would be against all religious extremism A lot of Israeli devilry comes from Judaism extremism Also you have Christian nutcases in the American government doing damage to USA and also some perform war crimes in African countries Yet they are not called out by these people Not to mention Budhist extremism in Myanmar or Hindu extremism in India Calling out only 1 religion extremism shows to me a huge anti Islam bias more than an Atheist bias Which is why I called the guy Islamophobic I am personally not religious at all but I do not only call out 1 religion extremism, but extremisim in itself How come they do not call out the Israeli religious extremism (Judaism extremism) in the Israeli-Palestine conflict as much as they call out the Islamic extremism of Palestinians in groups like Hamas? -

Bill Maher is a mega islamophobe to be honest and blames everything wrong in Middle East to Islam and passionately shits on Muslims He is way more bigoted than Destiny is It is hilarious to me that people like Bill call Palestinians anti Western because the whole reason they do not like the West and USA is because of unfair things that happened to them It is West fault they are anti Western it is like saying Ukranians are anti Russians It is crazy to me that someone would believe this given so much hate towards USA comes because they support Israel unconditionally I fully understand the logic although it triggers me a lot personally (green bias hehe) I understand Thanks for the analysis Leo To be fair I have seen so much hate and genocidal remarks from Israelis including random citizens that I can no longer hold them in the same development category as western countries They are not a civilized society I feel but typical Middle Eastern brutes -

I know you did not ask me but I can answer on my side -He ignores the insane power balance between Israel and Palestine -He ignores that Israel has killed like 30x more Palestinians and has caused way way more suffering to Palestinians than the other way around -He ignores Palestinian historical grievences including ethnic cleansing and tons of atrocities they have endured for decades -He believes Palestinians should just give up and submit, which in itself is not unreasonable but does not hold the same view for Ukraine. When it comes to Ukraine it is fine for them to fight a much stronger foe for their land but Palestinians should just submit -He says Israel is hated because it is a Jewish state -He always holds the side of Israel and believes Palestinians are the cause of the conflict -
@Nivsch Lets do a fun bet Who will be the new PM of Israel and who will be the biggest party in terms of mandates? What is your predicton today?

I would love to understand where it comes from I recall you once said "He is pro American" but being pro American does not automatically mean you should like Israel Bernie Sanders is pro American John Mearsheimer is pro American Tucker Carlson is pro American Taylor Green is pro American You have tons of pro Americans that are critical of Israel My first guess would be racism or islamophobia (since 95% of pro Israelis these days are massively islamophobic) but from other clips Destiny does not come off that way when it comes to other topics I read once he was getting paid by Israel which is the only logical conclusion I can come out to You know him better than me, why is his view on this topic so so bad? -

That was an old post I do agree things have somewhat changed now and Ukraine is in a much better spot Could you please tell me one thing I think I already asked but I still do not understand Why British have such an insane hatred of Russia and Russophobia, more than any other European country (except maybe some ex USSR ones) Russia is far away from you guys, they have not attacked UK since never I think and overall their sphere of influence (ex USSR countries are far from UK) Meanwhile UK has no qualms being friends with UAE, Saudi, Israel who have often illegally jailed or murdered British citizens Not long ago dozens got illegally detained, tortured, raped by Ben Gvir fascist forces and nobody cared Yet Russians murdering a few Russians in British soil and you guys went crazy Is there an anti Russian Lobby in UK? Some historical grievence? I do not understand -
@Nivsch Dan Adin Dan Adin seems to know what is up Some sanity at last... Wish he was the norm there...

He is one of my favourite writters I read all 4 of his books and really really enjoyed 3 of them He is very objective and the way he writtes and thinks really resonates with me Only Homo Deus I did not enjoy as much because it felt too orange for me and saw the long term future from a very orange lense. It is for sure not a bad book and worth reading if you like his other work but not a must read as the other three The other 3 i would really recommend, starting from Sapiens

What I find very distrubring in the Israeli public discourse, is that the main concern often seems to be about their reputation rather than genioune care about upholding basic principles of human rights There is a big difference between being angry at something because it makes you look bad in front of others and being angry at something because you mind it morally unacceptable and shameful
-
When we discuss what % of the Israelis support him, you look into the % that voted for him or similar parties It is more than 5% Also, from what I have read his popularity has grown and today it is 20% or so that support him
-
Is there any decent major politican in Israel that could become PM or at least have influence? Bennet I have seen him, he is as bad as Bibi if not worse Massive warmonger and also quite racist Ben Gvir and Smotrich we all know what they like Bibi too Maybe Yair Lapid? He seems the least radical and most moderate one I do not like him much either but he seems the most moderate What do you think? I would love some Israeli POV here as I am not very familiar with the country
-
@Nivsch Who is Zehava, Idan and Yael? They seem to make good comments I am impressed Also thanks for sharing them, it is helpful to check both sides and since many of us do not know much about Israel outside key politicans who are lunatics, it helps paint a more complete picture instead of 1 sided

How come they have such high suicide and especially depression rates? I never understood that I remember a friend from Iran who went to study in Western Europe told me "Even though we have 10000x more problems in Iran than Western Europe, people in Iran seem happier"
-
Man where are you from exactly in Eastern Europe? Eastern Europe is growing very fast, especially the EU countries Poland at this point is almost on par with the West and will probably reach it in a few years Czechia and Baltics are also incredibly developed first world countries They may not be assss good as Netherlands but on a global scale it is still some of the best

@Nivsch What do you think about this new law they passed? Curious
