Then why did Putain call it 3 day military operation? Then why is Putin now using NK troops? Imo Putin thought Ukraine was weak and would crumble and and that many would want to be part of Russia or be scared to fight back. He underestimated how much people don’t want to be part of a smelly Russian empire. Putain also underestimated Europe/US.

I think it’s the other way around Putain planned the war thinking that the resistance and the West is weaker. That’s why it was called 3 day military operation. But we can agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Nah Putin wants his Empire back but Ukrainians, Belarusians, Georgians, Armenians don’t want to be part of a smelly Russian Putler empire. An empire without freedom of speech and people fall out of wibdows. They‘d rather be closer to Europe/West. Putin can’t let that happen because he fears Russia might crumble because of that and so on. That’s a bit hyperbolic but Who knows though. I do think Ukrainians want rather closer ties to Europe than Russia.

The biggest anti war protest in my city ever was against the US Iraq war/invasion.

I guess every empire and power has to claim to be the good guys and others the bad or worse ones. It would be cool to see a very self reflective less hypocritical power/empire for once though.

I don’t think it’s fair to single out Americans here but if that makes you happy then that’s cool. We could call China fascist and wouldn’t be wrong. And you think they don’t claim to be the „good“ guys but they do.

Yea but they also make them dependent on China which is smart obviously. They bring their own workers from China to build stuff which is wild because it doesn’t really create many jobs Africa. It does create infrastructure though which is good i guess. But have you heard of Chinese ghost towns etc. Often they ccp just build stuff to build stuff for economical reasons. Which is horrible for the environment obviously.

What annoys me about the US is the lies. “we bring them democracy“(while supporting dictatorships which benefit them) “weapons of mass destruction“ to me if the US were more honest and would say something like “nobody is a good guy we are all selfish but at least with us you have more freedom of speech, freedom in art and expression while in China, Russia none basically because they are paranoid“ or „we just really want and need those rare earth minerals. So we are willing to make a deal which does benefit both. But if you won’t we still will take them because we need it for tech and industry“ I could respect that a lot more. And what’s funny is that actually the Trumpet does say these things more honestly sometimes.

I don’t think countries like India, China, Iran etc. are less selfish. They just don’t hold the same power yet. Image how China would treat immigrants refugees if it had the same amount as Europe or the US.

That was always the case. The generation leftists of my mother here in Europe always disliked US politics etc. For toppling governments in Latin America and elsewhere.
