Hey i also have an Idea. China should just promise to never take Taiwan nor bully or attack Japan. Then the US could close its bases in the pacific. Murderers should just promise to be good from now on. Then we could let them out of the jail and safe money. Pedophiles should just promise to keep themselves under control. Problem solved. Companies should just promise to not cheat and not sell unhealthy products or whatever. So then we can close down product testing etc and safe money. You get the gist it’s a win win.

One problem is Europes reliance on the US since ww2. It made European countries maybe more peaceful and less competitive. It was like a deal between Europe and the US. US can be number one, we support them but we want protection and so on. And now Trump questions this “friendship”/ vassal relationship. Which ultimately is good for Europe but maybe bad for the West as an alliance imo.

The US has the democrats vs reps which is slowing them down. And China is very authoritarian and moves quickly much quicker than democracies but the system could also crumble fast imo when the glorious party makes wrong decisions.

To play devils advocate. Israel is much more paranoid. Then the US ever was and rightly-ish so. The US was never under real threat. While Irsael is a small country and population with lots of enemies and often under bombardement.

In a way because it’s decentralised and everyone is doing their own thing. You can see it with high speed rails which countries like Spain, Italy, France have very good ones Germany is lagging but everyone is doing their own thing. Same with weapons systems and platforms although there are joint projects. Imo Europe needs a Silicon Valley and a Hollywood.

How morally superior is North Korea to Japan and South Korea? They throw their own into Gulags all the time but they haven’t nuked Japan or South Korea even though they’re the only ones with nukes of the bunch. Not using nukes can also be a form of self preservation because once used others will use them against you too probably. Not saying Hamas wouldn’t use nukes on Israel. They probably would also becaue their silly beliefs of the afterlife etc.

With this attack on Ukraine, Russia put a battery in the back of NATO though. Countries like Germany and Poland are massively upping their defence capabilities. I honestly didn’t like NATO before the war now i‘m still not a fan but i think it’s necessary.

Well Trump is gross and so is MBS and Putin. Of course democracies are probably more prone to being influenced like AfD in Germany, Le Pen in France by bribery aka Russian, Qatari, Chinese money than dictatorships. There is less control and more freedom.
