  1. I'm not negative about it, i'm realistic about it. i have many immigrant friends etc. i see the good and the bad, you seem to only see the good, which is delusional Also i didn't call it an empire i just made a connection also Etherial Cat is much better at formulating these points than me so maybe you could address her arguments
  2. ^wtf aspartame is crap, take some honey
  3. Yea or the EU/Europe will just collapse like most empires in history Or it will become crap for most people living here Or it will become a utopia, we don't know what's going to happen Love it and agreed
  4. some immigrants and refugees want to work and pay taxes some don't some immigrants and refugees are extremely hard workers and some aren't some immigrants and refugees want to build a great life and study some don't some immigrants or refugees are very open to womens rights gay rights etc. some aren't some immigrants just want to collect well fare and have children some don't some immigrants and refugees are criminals some aren't there are also deeper issues a lot of the refugees come from war torn, very religious etc. places so it's understandable that they have a different mentality. I've worked with refugees and i know others who did too, every individual is different of course. yea this applies to natives too but i don't think europe can try and save the whole world, we have enough poor people and problems (backwardness, poverty etc.) of our own, have you ever lived in europe? do you want right wing populists in europe to take over? blanket statements like "immigrants pay taxes" aren't really true or cutting it imo, it's complex
  5. i live in an "affluent" area and many more people would like to own but it's just too expensive. Some do and some don't.
  6. Because home ownership is so expensive in these affluent countries. Otherwise people would want to own property, right? So it's really mostly the rich and upper class who can afford home ownership in these affluent countries or districts.
  7. yea this was a nice exercise to become very present imo, if you don't like the word "god" you could just replace it with "universe" etc. i also don't need to hear the "you are god" all the time, maybe after this exercise we can sort of be done with it personally not a huge fan of the political stuff though but some practical things would be nice.
  8. so mostly the rich or upper class? so the rich getting richer and poor getting poorer, sounds like a recipe for things turning very sour and the lower class turning against refugees and immigrants. sprinkle in some propaganda, foreign interference, populists like marine le pen gaining traction winning elections and then good bye e.u. which i really don't hope will happen.
  9. Mysterious monolith appearing on the street in the UK https://www.wirralglobe.co.uk/news/18420004.council-large-item-collection-service-restart/
  10. hmmm no we will only take hot hetero womens, because I'm hetero and that's what would be best for ME and it would be wonderful. see how egoistical this way of thinking is?
  11. many are there. i've been to the cairo museum as a kid and it was actually an amazing experience, one of my favourite museums ever. all those beautiful artifacts and i've been to luxor and the valley of kings few years ago, also amazing obviously.
  12. it just bores me it's not inherently "wrong" nothing is, it's a preference and i for example just find it very off putting and i suppose many others too. a nazi is someone from the nsdap
  13. i also think it's boring and off putting when centrists or mostly right wingers or die hard free market capitalists call people on the left "marxists" and "communists" etc. whatever maybe my ignorance for history is also to blame for this also i come from a left environment so i expect more from the left and because of that i tend to be a bit harder on them maybe they should call someone mussolini etc. instead of hitler for a change
  14. that's really a huge issue on the left imo calling people nazis or hitler, so silly and such a turn off imo i mean i might be deluded and they might be right, but i don't really see it most of the time or maybe i don't know enough about history and i' coming from the left too, getting more "centered" as i get older though because of such things and others
  15. mostly no a lot of them didn't even really care about those artifacts in the first place it took french, british etc. people to come to egypt and dig this stuff up, the people living there didn't care now some time in the future when these countries are peaceful, stable, valuing education etc. then probably
  16. i think i can relate somewhat, it seems like some kind of perfectionism you think if you'd be perfect then you would be invincible or something, but it's impossible you want to appear perfect to everyone else and also to your ego, which in turn makes you unhappy because it makes you less "free" and you're also easily hurt because you can never be perfect and there's a fear of people finding out that you're not good enough it's hard and scary to accept your flawed self don't really have a solution for you at this point i started watching some videos on shadow work but not yet sure if they'll help (obviously just watching videos won't help but maybe doing the work etc.)
  17. but if you think the world is fucked up and people suck and you don't care for nature, where would you even want to travel and what would be fun to you, if you don't care about those things? i think it will be hard to appreciate the world and people when you have money if you don't learn to appreciate them now and also the smaller things in life. maybe things like rich people stuff, sailing on a yacht with some playboy bunnies and coke would be fun to you for a while, but then? i'm not against money though, i'd like to be rich too but i'm too lazy
  18. then what will you do once you're "free"?
  19. is it really a lie if someone tries to point to the truth but the truth can not be told. but "someone" still tries their best? wouldn't a lie be intentionally stating a falsehood, which this really isn't?
  20. maybe you need more nature in your life. looking at trees, sitting on some moss, observe a bug, go to the beach look at the water surface. maybe someone you know has a dog you can take into nature for walks. i don't think that's nonsense
  21. i used to eat a lot of canned tuna dear god why in hell did you make canned tuna delicious and then put heavy metal in it and then on top of that u made chelation so complicated
