That’s hogwash. The US always supported (rightwing) dictatoships and regime changed democratically elected governments who didn’t suit them. Also Saudi and Qatar etc. are close allies.

I‘m not a fan of Germany at all. But to be fair they were carpet bombed, humiliated and beaten into submission in WW2 so they never really had their own security after that. Britain kind of outsourced its stuff willingly which is cray. France is basically our only hope lol

And while Marco Rubio is saying such things. The US govt is putting all those tariffs on their allies. Great strategy.

But the economies of let‘s say US, China, Europe, Australia are insanely intertwined no? So a war would be a bit weird.

Gpt: The beautiful patterns and symbols people often report seeing during psychedelic experiences are known as form constants and entoptic phenomena. These visual effects are consistent across cultures and substances, and they have fascinated scientists, mystics, and artists for centuries. Here’s a breakdown of what people often see and why: 🔷 1. Form Constants (a term coined by Heinrich Klüver) These are recurring geometric patterns seen during altered states of consciousness, especially under psychedelics like LSD, psilocybin, mescaline, and DMT. The most common types include: Lattices (grids, honeycombs, checkerboards) Cobwebs Tunnels or spirals Vortices Mandala-like shapes Concentric circles or radiating lines These patterns can be: 2D or 3D Static or moving Multicolored or monochrome They may morph, breathe, or pulse with emotion or music. 🔶 2. Entoptic Phenomena These are visual effects that originate from within the visual system itself (not from the external world). Examples include: Phosphenes – light seen without light entering the eye (like when you rub your eyes) Floaters Geometric hallucinations from stimulation of the retina or visual cortex Under psychedelics, the visual cortex becomes hyperactive and disinhibited, amplifying these effects into complex, vivid patterns. 🌀 3. Why the Brain Generates These Patterns Neuroscientific theories suggest that: The visual cortex has an intrinsic structure and organization, particularly in V1 (the primary visual cortex), that favors certain spatial frequencies and geometries. Psychedelics reduce the filtering and predictive control of higher brain areas (like the Default Mode Network), allowing raw perceptual activity to bubble up into consciousness. The brain is effectively “seeing itself” — displaying the architecture of its own neural networks in visual form. Some researchers model these patterns using: Mathematical symmetry Fourier transforms Neural field equations (e.g. Ermentrout and Cowan models) 🧿 4. Cultural and Archetypal Layers Many report: Sacred geometry Ancient symbols (e.g., eyes, serpents, grids, fractals, mandalas) Mythological beings or scripts (especially on DMT or ayahuasca) Carl Jung might have called these archetypal images—universal motifs from the collective unconscious. Some researchers view these as the brain attempting to impose meaning or narrative on the abstract visual chaos. 🧬 5. Fractals and Recursion Psychedelic visuals often appear fractal — infinitely repeating patterns at different scales. This reflects both: Natural processes (e.g., clouds, plants, rivers) Mathematical properties of feedback and iteration, which the brain engages in under altered states If you’d like, I can show you visual representations of these types of patterns — either through generated art or historical imagery inspired by psychedelic states.

it can look similar to this at times and then moving and turning, but also totally different and bigger. And the symbols itself are often more elaborate imo. https://www.architecturendesign.net/50-mesmerizing-mosque-ceilings-that-highlight-the-wonders-of-islamic-architecture/

Didn‘t know if i should put this in the Israel / Palestine thread or whatever. So here’s a new thread. Turkey is quite the dark horse in terms of NATO, Global South Middle East Europe and so on.

So not really having free will implies that there’s no real responsibility. No one’s really responsible for their siblings or parents for other people’s feeling’s or their own feeling’s and anger. No one’s responsible for their needs and wants, desires and neediness. No one’s responsible for getting it or not getting it for their intelligence. No one’s really responsible for being annoying or being annoyed by others. No one is responsible for their survival and coping mechanisms. No one’s responsible for their weird, dark, „bad“ evil thoughts. No one’s responsible for rejecting or abandoning you or others. Not even Netanyahu is responsible for what he’s doing to Gaza and you’re not responsible for your feeling’s towards him. It’s just the cogwheels of the universe turning, churning, cogwheels of war churning out bodies and such.

Is this like shadow work? Or is this as buddhists say use an arrow to get rid of another arrow? -

Yea you’re the first one. Here’s a cookie 🍪 -

Would you agree that it’s unknowable though? -
PurpleTree replied to PurpleTree's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Ok so instead of saying we don’t have free will or we do have free will, can we agree that we can say nobody knows whether we have free will or not, nobody knows what any of this is. -

That’s like Byron Katie. Take me away cockroaches. On the floor you know. -

Alriiight. Well there isn’t free will anyway so it doesn’t matter. -

How am i really seeking for excitement though? -

Well it always ends in dumb arguments of people having opposing views and basically speaking different languages. I once went to a „spiritual“ group gathering and it was the same mess although a bit funny. Some talked about angels, some about buddhism, some about self help, some about enlightenment and so on. Spirituality is a too big umbrella term. -

That’s why i think it would be nice to have a (radical) nonduality subforum because these back and forth discussions are quite boring. -

Well i also had visions and stuff. You could say that the universe has its will and so on if that’s what you’re into. But that’s kind of unknowable imo. Just because you have a vision doesn’t make it true. And this here thread kind of talks about the separate self and responsibility. -
