  1. @Leo Gura Okay, then share your feelings.
  2. It is an animated series about UI (Uploaded intelligence) and humanity. I do not typically like animated series but I found the plot was too good. I have a hard time finding stories I enjoy and are not predictable. I still found myself predicting things, in Pantheon, but the nature of it being just two seasons left ample pressure to wrap things up in a way that was interesting.
  3. Yes, modern sports are already unfair and focus too much on physicality. But also, before puberty, sports are more fair. Someone should craft a new sport that combines the hits of football, sprints of basketball, the grace of golf, etc. A meta sport with more defined, diverse roles, teams, goal, etc.
  4. The more dire the physical consequences, the harder it is to find the right handicap. The more team based it is as well. If height and weight play a role it is harder. Linear games are easiest to handicap. Golf is surprisingly linear and simple to handicap compared to most things.
  5. @Leo Gura Are you joking?
  6. For the sports part of the conversation: The variation between men and women and trans people is still too great. Certain cycling leagues or even the military, measure vO2 max. They’ll have to use something like that, in combination to other things like hormone levels, while maintaining a coherent structure. Nobody will really care. The sports that have the most competitive essence will adapt but as a niche with low profit; not mainstream. For the most part I’m sure we can still expect men and women’s leagues, continued trans issues, and things like the ‘Enhanced Games,’ where they explicitly check chromosomes and allow steroids.
  7. @Someone here One minute nobody cares, the next nobody should. You need to make up your mind. You do not sound healthy. You have been flipping from extremes.
  8. @Someone here Nobody believes you. — At least I have something to shoot for and I’m not aimlessly calling people names on an Internet forum and then gaslighting them, and telling them they don’t care, etc.
  9. @Someone here Sorry. I hope so. If you need something PM me. I wasn’t trying to be an ass. I was making a social observation. I actually revoked it myself— the statement this was in reference to. I stand by what I replaced it with. — Also, don’t tell me what I give a shit about. You don’t know me, remember?
  10. @Someone here Do you have a condition? Are you OK? You know nothing about me. You’re just throwing a fit online. Maybe if you talked to me like a person and didn’t make up words to try and communicate something you don’t understand to someone you don’t know, we’d have better communication. Maybe you even trying to make a point as the problem in and of itself.
  11. @Someone here You came into a serious topic on genocide with your ‘spiritual fluff’ while admitting you know nothing about politics— yet I am the ass? Grow up. You are disrespecting tens of thousands, if not millions. If that means nothing to you or you aren’t interested in politics so be it. Go to any number of other threads on this forum. — I have respect and know when something is serious or if my words will have impact. I don’t have a dog in this fight either. I don’t know what you were talking about with Adam’s sons and banging my head against the wall, etc. I just don’t go to people in pain and say ‘it’s all the same really.’ That’s what asses do. You don’t want to be an ass do you? Watch the name calling and projection. If you walk into a conversation you admit you know nothing about, especially a serious topic, expect this to happen again. I have responded kindly. Others may not.
  12. @Someone here If you understand so much more than us than you must realize this is the society section of the forum. Take your spirituality elsewhere and have some respect. What you understand is this isn’t your problem. That isn’t indifference or Love. That’s you having a semantic battle of stoicism. The game is clear. You are not experiencing the type of indifference Leo speaks of. You are testing an idea in a thread on genocide. Arguably disgusting.
  13. The blog is priceless. I haven’t watched a video for maybe a few years now— but I check the blog everyday haha. Edit: Also not downplaying the videos. Between the age of 14-20 I probably watched 1-3 a day.
  14. Your chaos is calm and workable. I wish you the best.
  15. @Husseinisdoingfine That study is from 1986 and focuses on ‘Physical Quality of Life’ (PQL)—not sustainability. The ‘socialist’ countries praised include China, the USSR, Cuba, Vietnam, and North Korea. Here’s the reality: China is now capitalist. The USSR collapsed. Cuba is limping along and only functioning with limited market reforms. Vietnam only succeeded by going capitalist. North Korea? Sure, maybe their PQL is great—if you ignore the gulags. PQL is like buying a car for the comfy seats without noticing there’s no engine. It’s a snapshot, not a blueprint. It doesn’t answer the real question: Who’s going to pay for all this PQL? And the answer, in almost every case, is capitalism. Socialism is a product of capitalism.
  16. @Yimpa Him saying that is toasted into my skull. I’m glad someone else remembers.
  17. It was such a perfect video to be released and then taken down. I don’t know if that was Leo’s intent or if he just decided to go a different route-
  18. @Hardkill He could. The catch is his stocks might dip as well. Even if they do not, he’d be giving up leverage over his company or companies, it’s a bad look and might cause further sell offs. Musk has intertwined himself so deep into his companies. For better or worse, his fate is their’s. Because he owns and operates such a large portion of their stock and boards, the companies own him too. Taking from one is like choosing a favorite child. I guess Elon has problems there too though .
  19. Just jumping into the convo— per title— and the ‘Pivot’ podcast (specifically Scott) mentioned now might be the time to actually short Tesla. The board is in arms. GM or another should be able to eat their lunch any minute now. Musk will likely gain artificial stock boosts by consolidating Tesla into an AI company, like he did with X— but frankly, I don’t see the stock doing anything terrific, big picture. I am not an Investor. This is not advice. Here is the podcast.
  20. @Breakingthewall That was your choice. You are asking me for positivity and answers instead of claiming them yourself. And then you blame me when it doesn’t land. If you don’t wanna feel condescended, then don’t put yourself in a position where you outsource your answers and positivity from other people. if you’re gonna ask for things or engage, you should at least ask yourself what you expected and not blame the people trying to help.
  21. @Breakingthewall The good news is you are immortal. Life and Death are an illusion. This conversation and every other bump in the road is all just apart of an endless journey of your own imagination. Do not beat yourself up. Try to see the bigger picture. That’s as positive as it gets. Right now is the best it gets. Try to see that, in all moments, if you can. I am being quite neutral, in the grand scheme of things, really. Reality has a beauty of which is inconceivable. I see it in everything. The catch is, I can’t see it without pain. I’m not trying to be negative. I’m trying to be honest. And honestly, figuring out of this stuff out doesn’t feel good. It feels negative. It’s not easy. It’ll make you go insane. But it’s also pure fulfillment. I know that’s maybe not the exact answer you want to hear. But sometimes answers aren’t attached to our expectation of an outcome’s positive or negative connotation. And again all I’m doing here is talking about life and death— per the topic. If you want pure positivity from me, maybe we should DM— talk about interests, get to know each other. If I knew you in person, I’d ask you about your day, get you dinner, be a friend, etc. This forum is more of a neutral ‘battleground of ideas’ to me. I very much appreciated Leo’s bluntness when I first got into this work. I understand that might not be why everyone is here. I empathize when Leo says he’s trying to have a softer approach, though. I’m better at that in person. Far from perfect though.
  22. @Breakingthewall I know it’s not. You are being hostile. I am being harsh. I have no desire in making people look stupid. But I will tell someone if they’re wrong. Please don’t name call and approach me in bad faith because you don’t like my approach— and then gaslight me into thinking I have some devil vendetta. Everything I’ve been talking about here has been about ‘ life and death.’ I don’t care about you guys. Some of the things were clever. Entirely helpful? Not necessarily. But contributing and arguably clever. You mentioned that. 💕 You are not displaying kindness. I’m not being negative.
  23. @Breakingthewall Are you just here to throw fits and insult people or do you actually have an interest in answers? You already said I was unbearable. If these conversations are hard for you to grapple with maybe you should reconsider them. I am harsh, but I am not hostile.
