Why are we trying to solve a problem for kids that shouldn’t be on these media platforms anyways? Seems to me just not allowing the kids to be on there in the first place makes a lot more sense and is easier.

It’s just as amazing in the other direction. I could just say ‘a true and honest liberal would be concerned about the inability to express information spread in society.’

@Yimpa I actually had my definitions mixed up- it’s not negative reinforcement, it’s not positive reinforcement and it certainly isn’t both lol. It is just punishment to censor.

@Buck Edwards I get that… censoring people is not positive reinforcement, it is negative reinforcement.

The problem is, the people propagating the views that should be censored do not understand censorship is not a serious danger. How does poking and prodding them with censorship help them at all? Doesn’t it just radicalize them more?

@Dodo A few years ago, I became the devil. I took responsibility for all of this rape and suffering people are speaking of. I had terrible dreams of doing things I could’ve never imagined. Things I never have and never will do. I cried that whole day. I just remembered this day. It took so long to integrate it into my life, to forgive myself. But there I was crying that day. With months of confusion to come. I was perhaps 17 or 18, taking responsibility for killing, wars, lies, deception. Clear as day, I saw how it was all done and I could see myself doing it. Like you could understand a white lie from someone. My mental health was terrible. I knew I didn’t do these things personally but I knew even deeper that in some sense or another it was still my responsibility. So I took responsibility.

But he is suggesting that you would’ve 500 years ago and you would’ve liked and needed it and no one would’ve batted an eye. Animals still rape. They eat their young. Do you like animals? They need to do those things. Cost-benefit. The benefits of having sex with a minor are so absolutely low and the cost is so high. Most people would be going against their sexual preferences, what attracts them, the law, morals, etc. to have sex with a minor now. 500 years ago you had sex with your 12 year old sister and if you didn’t the kingdom was thrown over. You needed a bloodline lineage and you needed it fast. Don’t do that, you die. People are attracted to what keeps them alive, in more ways than one.

I’ve worked with special needs, the elderly, disabled, kids, etc. blah blah blah. I’m very good with them all. This is an intellectual forum. I’m not babying anyone.

Grammar aside, does this passage resonate with you? I can hardly make sense of it. I have even ran this conversation through AI to try and correct some of the errors or understand where they’re coming from. It’s nonsensical and some kid is going to join the forum and waste his time on it and become more confused.

But it was a pretty good summary, I suppose. ——— I see your point about this. I understand how this can be taken personally. But there is really nothing to discuss. I have the ability to point out falsehoods. I cannot show anyone the Truth. Anyone at anytime can fix their grammatical errors or attempt to clarify their point to me. But often times they do not. They have no idea what they’re talking about and I’ve pointed that out, oops. I can’t lead people to Truth, but I can clear the road for those to come.

@Keryo KoffaThis conversation didn’t just fall out of a coconut tree. The context was their nonsense and poor grammar. Respectfully, their posts are hard to read and conflate ideas. And people seem to go along with them because they’ve built up a strong defense. I haven’t been able to critique at all without getting stuff like “that’s your ego bud, did I strike a nerve :)” And then others rush to their defense because they see that and thinking I’m being mean - when in reality this is the most cut and dry example of deflection and projection.

@Ishanga Nobody said this was practical. Then again, it depends on what you’re trying to do. If you want to understand, create or maybe even heal - this could be practical. Mostly will drive you mad, otherwise. This is why I talk about this on this forum and not with strangers. Don’t make what’s practical the truth. The truth is not practical. Unless it is.
