The descriptions are just symptoms, common manifestations of an expanded awareness. Getting rich isn't what progressing from Orange to Green requires. What it requires is a level of awareness sufficiently high for one to see that money/possessions/status/skills aren't that important. SD measures one's level of awareness the only way possible: Indirectly. Through the visible consistent manifestations of each stage. Those manifestations are not the stages themselves, just tools that allow us to work with the abstract. Orange may have a proclivity for wanting success/money/status, but that's just because its awareness has expanded enough to see the possibilities visible from level Orange. All it is is expansion of awareness. Now tell me, wise Gura, what's at the top of the spiral? Is it maximally expanded awareness (aka enlightenment)? Or is it being "an ultra successful, ripped AF billionaire guy who's getting all the pussy ..on his yacht (leftovers from his Orange days) and says he doesn't need any of it & that's just what integrating Orange looks like", as you so boldly claimed?

Wow, good to see someone saying what I keep repeating. I think it's just a stage thing. You will never get tier 1 to understand that that there's no objective morality. Greens are about as bad as Blues at this. I mean, most people on this forum would say smoking weed is a "sin".. If you asked them why, they'd just call you evil (or something to that effect). Orange can be highly intellectual, just as much as Yellow. In fact, Orange is more likely to value the intellect than Yellow as Yellow's been "softened up" by having been Green. It's awareness you have to focus on, how far reaching it is. haha, they're both INTP, that's why they appear near identical. Though I think Leo's higher up the spiral. JP seems like a healthy/high Orange with an above average intellect. While he does appear to be very slowly moving into Green, I don't think he'll ever make it there fully. While it is a spectrum, there IS gonna be a stage stage you can't get past, and THAT is your stage. E.g. Orange will have zero comprehension of Turquoise without exception. You can't view SD as a collection of traits. Those traits are just common manifestations/side-effects. A stage is the level of awareness responsible for those traits. A stage itself is invisible, and can only be inferred indirectly. That's not really much for us to go on. You might as well be saying "I know someone who's ok with violent video games, but not violent films!" What can be analyse from that? Even if you said "I know someone who's pro-abortion but is also vegan" that would also be completely meaningless. There is no such thing as objective morality, so by themselves these ideas have no value.

Yeah, ideally there would be buttons integrated into the site, but we'd need some sort of a technical Gura for that.. Right now it's just bandaids. I don't really know how stage/tier affects laziness / appreciation for well designed systems, as I don't know any other Tier 2s, personally. But if they're anything like me, systemic thinkers, laziness shouldn't really outweigh the potential for improvement. T2 are like a whole other species, ime, and T1 behavioral patterns are so different they're barely worth considering when planning for T2. Spiral Dynamics (SD) isn't a perfect model. It would have to be 3D to make up for its lackings, but then it would lose some things too. It's unable to fill in the gaps that are made evident by other models such as Socionics and the Enneagram, but for the single function of identifying health / development progress it's pretty good. Most people on this forum believe you can be multiple stages at once. But that's wrong. If you want to understand yourself in detail & see where those Yellow traits are coming from, you'll need to resort to other models. To know you SD stage, just think back and see if you can identify parts of your life in which you changed in ways matching the SD stage descriptions. E.g. were you ever obsessed with success/achievement/money? If not, then account for the slight differences in the ways genders experience the stages (if needed). If you've never identified with Orange descriptions, then you're probably Blue, and can forget about Yellow for now. The biggest sign you're not Yellow would be if you know you've never been through Green (as it's usually pretty obvious if you've been through it). Also keep in mind that you've gone through some of the stages during childhood, if that's the case you'll need to account for those differences too. E.g. A 13 year old Green isn't gonna be that interested in recycling, they'll just be speak overly abstract and be overly credulous when it comes to spiritual teachings. Might be really into crystals, chakras, and listening to Gurus all.. day.. long..

You need to be challenged to actually know where you are. Under no pressure everyone appears enlightened. You need to raise the ego before it's worth the effort of killing it. No one wants to be around an enlightened idiot who doesn't value anything/anyone, and can't give you a good debate. If you hang out with people who consider themselves incompetent fools who've made that their reality, over time, forces will balance out, and you'll become like them. Nothing wrong with that, but you're the director, and no choice is still a choice, so you might as well make the choices you want, and you better be as selfish as you can. "No good deed goes unpunished." Turquoise is the bare minimum for being enlightened. The stages don't e.g. start at "normal" and ascend into "something". They end at normal, and begin at dysfunctional. Don't let its rarity make you think it's something special. It's what should be the standard. Ever thought about how people people hundreds/thousands of years ago were unbelievably primitive with their IQs of ~70 or even ~30? Humans used to be as dumb as dogs, and it was normal. And now stage Blue is normal. It's common for people to speak of Turquoise as something great, something abnormal & Blue/Orange/Green as something standard and ubiquitous, but that's just bias people have when looking through their own specific perspective. So, yes, anything below Turquoise is inadequate. Even Yellows are too immature, though I'm not sure I've seen a single one of those on this forum.. That said, any stage can have an enlightenment experience. But that's completely unrelated and I've probably written an essay or two on that here before..

I, personally, haven't seen much of that myself. The majority here seem to adhere to some unspoken rule about never revealing anything about yourself, good or bad, highly probable or mildly probable.. I can't speak for all of them, but from what I've observed there's a few categories people here fall into: Know nothing of Spiral Dynamics. Just here for emotional support. Judgemental & sensitive. No interest in debate or logic. Kids /adults with serious issues. Any age, really, but mostly between around 13 and 20. Almost always know little to nothing about any sort of model. Just here to make threads about "picking women up" or "how to win fights" or some stupid shit like that.. Kids who make threads like what you'd see on /r/Im14andthisisdeep. The guy you can't believe is on a spirituality forum. Almost always stage orange, sometimes even red.. Will go out of their way to attack if you say the "wrong" thing. Is unable to comprehend the idea of non-duality and believes anyone claiming to understand is is lying. "Interesting theory you have there". They make no attempt to really understand any model properly. Have little interest in learning, enjoy simply lurking. Low energy. Might occasionally start an unoriginal thread & ignore half the people who respond. Spirituality is still far too abstract to really engage with it. It's just some fun thought-exercises to them. Enlightenment is in the same realm as magic to them, not something you can actually aim for. The "cold, materialistic, unhappy" guy. Around the peak of stage orange. Will likely turn green soon. The "harmony > logic" kind. Dislike of any sort of divergence from the status quo. Similar to category 5, but more sensitive and have slightly higher levels of energy. They are interested in spirituality, and like to talk about it, but have a dislike for any new/contrary information. They want you to parrot old, many times repeated ideas already familiar to everyone. Unoriginality looks like "harmony" & "safety" to them. The low energy senior. Many of the mods fall into this category. They don't really care about any of the discussions or theories. Only that the significant minority of stage green on this forum stays happy and doesn't hear anything that may trigger it (wouldn't want people challenging each other's beliefs and learning, now would we?). People in this category would never be caught debating, or trying to educate people. After all, that would open them up to public scrutiny. And if one of them ever admits to being Tier 2.. "OH.. GOD!! THE HORROR!!!! They're eating the boy alive!!!!" People in this category are well aware of this eventuality, and the very thought itself is enough to kill any hope for freedom they may have once held. The unaware, yet relatively mature kind. They think they're orange/green/yellow/turquoise, but are (usually) 2 stage below. This is a weird group. They often call themselves "awakened". Same stage as category 6, just a different personality. They're the kind of people that watch some "spiritual youtube influencer" and when they like what they hear, they think think they're turquoise. You can immediately identify them by the distinct lack of "depth" to them. You can always see it in their eyes. It's just a type of shallowness and naiveness. They also always, without exception, parrot ideas from "gurus" and present them as the objective truth. If they follow some online guru influencer, they will always refer back to them, as a substitute for actual logic/reasoning/evidence. Spirituality is treated much like a religion by people at this category. Faith in their guru is everything. These types will also have a tendency to judge people who don't "act" the way they want. There's a reason these people move to India and seek out Gurus, or want to become monks, or want to learn Sanskrit (as they think it itself is somehow spiritual..) Well aware of their own level of development but not interested in anyone's progress. Might occasionally make a short post without any depth. This is the first category in which people may create their own ideas and perceptions of things. Capable of completely disregarding the status quo. Their true, unrestricted personality is starting to come through, but their ego still prevents them from being publicly open/genuine/emotional. Still clinging to own humanity. Still holding grudges and struggling with fully integrating other people's perspectives. Well aware of their own level of development. Desire to keep learning and challenging themselves, as well as everyone else. I came; I saw; I conquered bolted the fuck outta here. Giving up. Letting the problems be and being happily indifferent. Dropping humanity to inspire humanity to drop itself too; to show that it it's ok to. To stop holding yourself hostage. These are the Stage of Actualized.org. The most common ones being 8, 7, 9, 6, 5. What you were describing would fall under 7. Should should, in theory, be a bunch of arrogant 7s, but I haven't seen any yet. Most 7s are genuine stage Green. Not according to any cognitive model I know of.. Women are just more likely to prefer using their feeling than their logic. Men have not benefitted from awareness of their own / others' emotions as much as women, so there's a greater inherent proclivity for women to do "spiritual stuff". This, of course, by not means has any bearing on their actual level of development. Also, these "spiritual women" are, mostly, just xNFPs. Pretty incompatible with most NeTi guys ..like me. I don't think you could reliably tell their personality from just their profile picture.. And I can't imagine ever meeting someone at a gym/uni/work. Would be pretty fucked up for someone to just go to a gym, approach some random woman on a treadmill and ask her about the weather.. Your motivation for the game seems to be based on emotion/ideals, rather than game mechanics. This is a red flag. But you can still make it work. I think it would be best if I just shat out some ideas for you to think about: A first person survival PC game starting out at as a primitive human. There's already a market for it (as seen with all the island survival/crafting games) Not TOO original, guaranteed sales. Original enough that it's fresh. The emphasis could be on intuitively learning how cooperation and sharing lead to faster progress. Could add gods to the lower stages, depending on a randomly generated religion/location. Though this is more of a stage Turquoise concept and most players wouldn't get the logic behind how there could co-exist gods from every religion. Could create some interesting dynamics between evolving and unlocking "perspectives" or "abilities" with not getting killed by stage Red. E.g. do you want to gain trust of others more easily and speak with your gods / have them answer your prayers, or do you want to just rape and kill everyone? Could also be interesting to do all this with multiplayer, and decide if you should trust them. Could be some funny game mechanics where stage Purple, being the most faithful, could occasionally overpower the highest stages by just praying more. There could be many paths to choose from. E.g. choose to end the game at Blue and maybe meet your God, then be offered a chance at another life. If stage Orange, maybe wake up in a sleeping pod. If stage Yellow, realize that reality is just data signals you're just interpreting as reality. At Turquoise, maybe gain an ability to become other people, maybe even allow yourself to regress. A PC RTS, but instead of having ages like in AoE, advance through the SD stages and have your beliefs evolve from polytheistic, to monotheistic, to science, to data, to non-duality, with each one having different pros and cons. Maybe pushing for faster progress within your society causes the older generations to get depressed or hate the government. Maybe installing concentration camps for people who disagree with non-duality or SD will give you the best outcome. Does God punish you / the settlement you built / the government you set up in game with bad Karma? Maybe only if they're at stage Blue and have a great fear of God? Does stage Turquoise get away with human right violations because it sees itself as God? Literally just a machine learned virtual society based on variables associated with the stages. Not so much a game as simulator. The fun being in the tweaking of variables to see what happens, and maybe allowing some freedom to do "what you think is best" to see if you're right. If you know what makes for a highly functional society, then you'll be able to create a society with the biggest army and kill everyone else's societies in multiplayer. Now imagine groups merging / making alliances.. You'd literally have competitions between countries. Though this would likely also need variables for cognitive functions and a bunch of other stuff for anything to evolve realistically. Some kind of Dragon Ball knock off game where instead of going super saiyan you can go SUPER SPIRAL! You wanna get people hyped up about going beyond Turquoise, or not? The choice is yours.

Talent = an "artificial" concept. Doesn't exist naturally. Its intended definition is something like: A relatively high aptitude for attaining a given goal when compared to peers trained under comparable conditions; this aptitude may or may not appear immediately. So, really, you have to define what you mean by talent as it's a vague term. Different cognitive preferences may approach learning in different ways. Some cognitive stacks may lend themselves faster starts and slower ends; some may be more suited to slow starts but unrivalled mastery. E.g. extraverted sensing dominant types are, typically, faster at getting things right straight away (like they have faster response times), but they soon reach their potential.

Had a quick glance. Not convinced they've gone past Orange tbh. If I had to guess, I'd this organisation is mostly a mix of blue, orange and green, maybe a few old yellow guys/investors. The website is just not of the standard I'd expect from people who want to communicate Yellow values, or who understand the importance of quality (which is learned at orange). Might seem like an insignificant thing, but nothing is ever isolated.

*Ahem* I sometimes enter involuntary ego death, I was tripping pretty hard that day (drugless hallucinations and whatnot). I can be very very random when that happens (if I'm still able to use use English). And yes. I agree with you both completely. I just have little care for maintaining a consistent public personality. And I often like to fuck with people's beliefs and perceptions (for educational purposes).
