I don't think that sex is in the same category. Sex is a natural impulse and it's impossible to avoid. The thing is when sex becomes and addiction, just to evade anxiety. Usually all pleasures/addictions have an evasive function, getting out of your anxious vibration for a while. Real sex, with connection, is not an addiction, it is something with a great mystical component, a high human activity -

If the substance of reality is conciousness, conciousness is something, then it's physical, or mental, choose the one that makes you happier -

What is the difference between physical and mental? I did psychedelic so many times that I realized that sober or on psychedelic are exactly the same. Tell Leo to move a stone with his mind when he's in god mode and send the video, would be interesting to see it. Yeah, that is what Leo said, but what it means? That you have the mental image of a god that is imagining things? Are you sure that you know what reality is? Or infinite mind? That's just religion My personal perception, which I absolutely doubt and which also does not interest me too much, is that reality arises spontaneously from the absence of limits, and since there are no limits, its intelligence is unlimited, and it is organized unlimitedly in patterns composed of holons self-conscious, creating an interconnected whole, which is at the same time one and multiple, connected and isolated, like the cells of your body, and which emerges in cycles of creation and destruction. What interests me is perceiving the essence, be open to it, not making a mental outline of what it is. the metal/physical difference is just a mental scheme. If you are open to the essence, you realize that everything that arise are just forms, you are the essence, and everything is irrelevant, just movement, a dance. Then you enjoy it, but you don't need to define, to classify it, because it's useless, is just ego mind. -

All about solipsism is an intellectual exercise, but following it, would you say that all the infinite eternal reality would be always the cyclical avatar davino? Surely no, right? Then, are other avatars, cycles, povs. t's quite obvious -

The difference between both is that mental implies that you are imagining it and have not real existence without you. Physical means that it has real existence independent of the observer . Id say that mental perspective is limited. It limites the reality to your field of perception. In absence of limits, how could reality be limited? Reality has to be real and unlimited, then, physical. -

You can't keep sitting blissed because the identity, not because the seek of pleasure. Almost all movements are to reinforce identity. In solitude, identity falls apart, it requires intense mental work of rumination to be maintained. in social relationships it is affirmed. The search for pleasure is normally the search for evasion from anxiety. If we did not have to constantly reinforce our identity, we would not see content, we would not constantly talk to people, we would seek success, etc. Any animal sits alone for several hours in a state of perfect harmony. For a human it is a very difficult effort, because his identity breaks down and we are absolutely addicted to it -

because the word dream by definition means a mental image that imitates reality. If there is only a dream, it would not be a dream, since there is no real model with which to compare it nor a dreamer who produces it based on that model. -

No, It is not complete, but if you do not make a serious conscious effort, little by little you fall into increasingly closed patterns of identity and rumination, until you become someone with a schematic, dead mind, and this translates into underlying anxiety. It's not horrible like being tortured, but it's dull, annoying, unpleasant, dead. Life is another thing, is pure joy and creation by definition, but in the case of humans it's a challenge, an enigma, and if you don't solve it, things can turn very hellish -

Agree in the process , but I don't agree that it is the worst that can happen. It is an evolutionary mechanism that is adjusted millimetrically every second, from generation to generation, to make a species go from living in caves to traveling through the stars in record time. That's pretty impressive, considering our ancestor a few million years ago was a rat. The only problem with this is that on an individual level it is absolute shit. -

The problem is that human dynamics are very powerful, have enormous evolutionary inertia, and many triggers that force compulsive action. would you be happy sitting in misery under that bridge if the cause was that your wife denounced you for rape to steal all your assets and spend it on your best friend, and you just came out of serving an 8-year sentence in prison, during which your daughter commit suicide because of the abuse suffered by your friend? This, on a cosmic scale, is nothing, it is just another movement of life. Could you let it go and be in perfect harmony? In theory yes, but in practice it is extremely difficult. For example, if you were a crocodile and all your babies had been hunted to make ugly shoes for drug dealers, yes you could. You would be in the sun in total harmony and you would not care about all that even for a second. but being human is different -

Well, agree, it is impossible to understand infinity. If absolutely everything has happened infinite times, then infinity has ended, so it would be finite. Being infinite, it never reaches its end, but since it has always existed, it has had eternal time to reach any end, but this does not occur even in eternal time, since it is infinite. in short, impossible to understand. Anyway if my cousin was there talking, seems that the infinity reached that point, but it's just a mental construction, same than solipsism. The solipsism prove one thing: i am. But can't prove the other thing: the other isn't. The no solipsism proves that the other appears, and since looks very similar than you, and you are, probably he is. No more can be known in both cases, so better forget it. -

Agree, I believe that you can perceive how reality emanates from itself, so from yourself, and in some way influence it. I think we actually influence it unconsciously, at least in part. This can become more conscious, but I don't know to what extent, or if anyone knows. I think so. Let's see to what extent. Very interesting possibility. -

Tons of very serious shadow work has to be done. We have to identify all the negative energy and where it comes from, do a total cleaning. It's quite difficult, there is always some shame, narcissism, sadness, regret, fear. You have to look at them directly, look at yourself completely without hiding anything, look at reality directly, without the fantasy of control. Beliefs are nothing, reality is absolutely simple in one way, and absolutely complex in another, no one of them can be grasped by any belief, has to be perceived directly. There is nothing in the sense that there is no mind doing an scheme of how the things are, but it's full, it's the reality. The thing is connecting yourself with the reality without the filter of the logical mind, that creates a bubble that isolated you with the no stop flow of thought. It's like comfortable, a security area, but it's a fiction, it doesn't really protect you -

Just empty a while, not empty 24 hours . Enough to open yourself. Then the mind can elaborate from direct perception. but if they tell you something in a video and you incorporate it, you are already contaminating that direct perception, it's a mess, not clean. For me the thing is to achieve the most clean perception. I see very obvious than the perception has to come from the direct reality. Anything else means nothing. Then, what I try is to forget everything about god, life, infinity, conciousness, etc, and just perceive. Open myself, and for that it's obvious that the mind must be empty, clean, to be totally open to the now. It's like an action. You have to push the button "nothing means nothing" and deactivate the meaning, then perceive directly. At first you can do this 3 seconds and it's vertigo, you are floating in the middle of the infinity, without anything to grab. Then could be horrible, you are absolutely alone in existence, trapped in the eternal now, and then infinity opens. You are open. That's the process more or less, and for that you have to stop believing in the mind. The mind is just noise. We could talk and think, it's inevitable, a human compulsion, but to perceive, mind must be silent -

In my opinion, most of the spirituality is toxic. They tell you how the things are, so you create patterns in your mind, identifications and limits from what you have read or heard. The only thing they can tell you in spirituality is: empty your mind, open your heart. everything else is stories. If you fill your mind, you close your heart. The heart of the infinity is your heart, and there is the reality. The mind must be empty, absolutely. Totally clean, then you can see through the surface and open yourself. -

Dream for me points to categorize it like not totally real. Many mystics used it so who knows. For me, I don't see anything else more real, what I see is that the meaning is a dream of the ego, but the thing itself is real -
Breakingthewall replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Keryo Koffa what I mean is that the word dream means that there is something called god, that is real, that is doing something, that is imagining something, and that thing is a dream of god. First, is that the case? Are we sure? Sound logical, subject, action, object, but maybe infinity works in another way Second, if it were the case, you could call it creation too. Why dream? Because it has not substance? False. Everything have the substance of the absolute, then it's the absolute, is real. -
Breakingthewall replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The word dream makes no sense. For something to be a dream there has to be something else that is not a dream and that is imagining it. if there is only that category of existence, then you can't call it dream -

@Keryo Koffa look at a bird for a few minutes. feel its reality, its divinity. Let its substance penetrate you, observe it in depth, perceive its life, become one with its life, enter its essence, perceive its glory, understand its sensation of being a bird, feel it. Now imagine a bird in your mind, or dream about a bird while you sleep. It's not alive, it's not the same, it's not real Anyone who says that reality is a dream is because his perception is egoic, schematic, superficial. If you can perceive in depth, you understand what reality is. -

The only thing that matters to me about all this is that I would rather have my leg cut off in a dream than when I wake up. What does the classification of reality matter? The only important thing is the consequences for me. awakening, or enlightenment or whatever you want to call it is not knowing that kind of thing but knowing what reality is in essence. In essence everything is the same, therefore yes, you are right, essentially a dream or wakefulness are made of the same substance, but as far as you are concerned, are different. The thing is being open to that substance. -

In my case that's impossible. I like desire and search. I think it is enough to erase the identification. Desires can be forgotten for a few hours while you meditate or contemplate, but identification cannot be erased for even a second. It is a software that is running continuously and is unstoppable, even on high doses of psychedelics. The key in my opinion is to break the identification -
That knowledge is nothing, it is just a memory. The goal is to achieve that kind of openness normally in your life through meditation. Let's say openings with 5meo soften the psyche and make possible what would otherwise take years of practice. I have achieved equal or even deeper openings with 2 puffs of weed and meditation, but it has been because having done them before with 5meo. As you have said before, the maximum realization is when the infinite void that you are opens, and opens its let's say heart and you realize that the essence of reality is love without limit, this love expands to be something more, the total brilliance of existence, what you are, your home. If you achieve this opening, the effect of perceiving this , let's say glory in everything lasts one or two days, everything is beauty and wonder, what seemed negative to you before is also the total brightness, but after a few days this becomes cloudy until it disappears and you return to a closed state. always better than before but blocked. Little by little you see what closes, what mental patterns, and you also flow in a more coordinated way with reality. This is the process that I believe leads to what they call enlightenment, the permanent opening to the essence of reality.

that's the thing. reality exists and moves, therefore, the ego is reality and its movement is the movement of reality, there is no problem with it, unless we say a closed ego, which creates an identity in which perception bounces, so to speak, it makes you only perceive your own reflection. For example, "I am God creating reality" is an ego identity and closes, just like any identity. What must disappear is not the ego, but rather making the ego transparent, without identity, to be able to perceive in an unlimited way. This does not mean passivity, it means open perception, freedom of mind and absence of limits, which translates into absence of self-inflicted suffering. The difference is subtle but fundamental for the objective we have or at least I have: open, transparent, distortion-free perception. experience clean of contraction/suffering -

For me being altruistic is ego, You do certain things because you think they are better for people than other things, and you are projecting your actions into the future. Your circle of identity is not just you but it is all of humanity, or the planet, or whatever. Not having an ego would be being absolutely indifferent, being in the total present, in total openness to reality. Reality doesn't care if children suffer or if a galaxy collapses in on itself. everything is reality, nothing is better than anything else, just cycles of creation and destruction due the movement of the infinity. But in another hand, this is difficult to affirm since the cosmos exist and evolve, then the reality seems to have a will, the will of being and grow in complexity. Seems that for reality it's better to exist than no exist. If there is an ego, it's because reality "wants" it. It's difficult to think in those matters because it's easy to anthropomorphize everything.
