  1. I feel you. the original comment of mine you responded to was me splitting hairs (well, disagreeing) with someone else who seemed to say God was precisely not beyond belief. Or maybe I misunderstood you (or them) idk.
  2. ? ? ? When taken-for-granted beliefs and knowing fall away, what seems to be unveiled is what’s described in terms such as spacious aliveness; empty fullness; etc.
  3. Yeah... it was all I had other than “wrong” ?
  4. Just let it happen. Let go. What you’ve got is a blessing. Probably the best way to go balls deep is to be hesitant about going balls deep ?
  5. @tatsumaru However, if by "God," one means "what is," or unconditional love, then God is certainly beyond belief.
  6. That would seem to be a different level of abstraction. Reincarnation is relatively more actual (alterations not accessible by individual imagination) than that. Of course there are no past lives, ultimately. Reincarnation merely seems to happen. It's a dream (to consider it ultimate reality).
  7. Ultimately, nothing is happening. This is merely a singularity; liberation, appearing as everything, including "time." Relatively, there are apparent past lives. I am certainly not claiming it makes sense . I've simply become directly conscious of its reality -- though ultimately, there is no reality (and that I cannot explain -- it is beyond experience and logic).
  8. Exactly! But reincarnation does apparently happen. It's just a psychic reality, or as you say "imaginary." Yes. Precisely. i.e. death has no reality, whatsoever.
  9. True! There isn't a better way to talk about it, however. Words fail. Maybe replace "liberated one" with "no one." That might strike a bit closer, depending on the viewer. To be clear, yes, no one is liberated. i.e. there is only Heaven, but with no one in it. When certainty or doubt "appear to you" (you are certain or doubtful), "you" are (only apparently) "sticking your neck out of liberation." For no reason. Same goes for judging-caring; intending-expecting, just as much as certainty-doubt. These can still apparently happen in liberation, as long as there isn't anyone doing it (or being that). Though of course, no one can escape liberation. There isn't anyone doing or being anything.
  10. There is no contradiction, ultimately. Selfishness is not a problem. Selflessness is generally more fruitful, but selfishness adds flavor to the Freedom that is What Is; what many might call God. There is even a valid view which sees compassion as complicity, because it reinforces the belief in personhood. But ultimately, that is of course not a problem either. I tend to generally err on the side of compassion (and selflessness), but not in every situation... however, that happens consciously -- that's the key, in my view.
  11. A baseless claim needs not a counterargument. In fact... all claims are ultimately based in nothing.
  12. The dream is that "you" can know anything for sure. In liberation, there is no certainty, nor doubt. Seeker either believes in things, or believes in nothing. Liberated one does not believe, but is never confused.
  13. I don't mean anything too radical, but yeah, like completely skipping just a full night or 2 of sleep and contemplating instead. For instance, limiting sleep to 4 hours a night for a week or so is not enough sleep deprivation to provide desirable effects, ime. In fact, you may notice that the more conscious you become (which will at first manifest as detachment), the closer to 4 hours per night you'll feel is actually alright. Less than 4h/night seems to be deleterious to health with pretty much no exceptions. But skipping a night (or preferably 2) once in a blue moon certainly can provide the positive contemplative benefits of sleep deprivation, ime.
  14. You could say... consciousness comes from the brain, which comes from consciousness. So are they even really there? They're empty.
  15. This guy has helped me come to many profound realizations over the years, fwiw -- if nothing else, listening to him provides a good atmosphere for promoting self inquiry -- as well as reminding you of just how dynamic an activity it is:
  16. The brain is a thing in consciousness. There aren't really things, nor is there really consciousness -- consciousness is nothing, and everything. Not understandable, it's just like that... Keep contemplating the nature of reality, if you wish, or don't. It doesn't matter; there's no one doing it.
  17. When spiritual investigation takes off and kinda just seems to happen 24/7, dreams can be really intense. You might even try sleep deprivation as a practice -- not regularly, but just to try it out. Some of my deepest revelations were under the influence of sleep deprivation (alongside intense contemplation). Just maybe something to try, or not.
  18. Good on you. Keep on contemplating the nature of your being, or whatever feels right for you.
  19. I'm about as nondual-realized as one can imagine, and yet, I am aware of the reality of reincarnation -- it seems there really is a psychic reality in which reincarnation occurs. So yeah, nobody dies. End of story.
  20. I have diagnosed narcolepsy. I went 3 years of procrastinating on going to sleep because the astral projections and demons were so damn terrifying. Like petrifying fear. I got over it. When I identified with the body, the astral projections were forced and agonizingly painful... Now that the identification has fallen away, there is no pain in astral projection. This seems to be the result of 24/7 contemplation of the truth of reality and being, for about 4 years straight. Maybe 5. And I really do mean 24/7 -- in dreams as well. Not in deep sleep, but it seems that is now a looming interesting possibility.
  21. At the risk of ruining your experience of the technique... At a certain point in self inquiry, you reach an impasse which cannot be crossed without (basically) a miracle that has nothing to do with you, and then it's recognized there isn't a you, or an I. There is no I... So how the hell is finding (looking for) the I (self inquiry) going to be easy? It's fully dynamic.
  22. Relatively, we can be sad when loved ones die. Ultimately, it's no-thing. However, the absolute is the relative. No one really dies, in the same way that the future never happens. If someone dies and knows they're dead, no one is dead. If someone dies and doesn't know they're dead, no one is dead. No one dies. Period. Not to mention, there's no one to die -- but this is not worth talking about.
  23. Always remember to contemplate. Even in dreams. End of I AM is the end of awakening. Take your time.
