@StateOfMind What. Sure you did: What do you think of his new album?

Ok. I just watched the video Leo shared in his blog today and my brain started to melt after around 6 minutes. For those who haven't seen it yet, here you go: Now here's my question: how on earth could it be possible to become conscious of absolute infinity?! It can't be contained?.. At this point I'm not even sure if I want to become conscious of what is meant by the last Omega Ω Infinity. Infinity = Zero ? Because it has no fixed value since it always escapes, right? But is the experience of Infinity actually the experience of Zero? (sorry if this is getting too theoretical) I don't get it. I don't know whether I want to experience it. It must be the most.... everything. Most everything. If it doesn't bring me closer to liberation - then what's the point? Do you recognize infinity in your daily life?

Leo said in an other thread "you can have an infinite number of awakenings" To me this makes his notion of "awakening" meaningless. Like an infinite amount of dollar bills is also completely worthless. -

Yes of course I understand that reality is groundless and without limits, but it doesn't make my brain melt. Which is why I think I don't see it yet. Hm. I guess that's the reason I don't recognize it - I have a limited and distinct notion of Infinity in my head which prevents me from actually seeing it. -

Just try to be aware of it when it "takes over". It's alright, there's nothing to condemn here. The spiritual ego isn't anything bad, don't forget that! But equally, it isn't anything good. To condemn the spiritual ego is just more ego. So, try to accept it. But only as much as you can. Neither repression nor insincere acceptance will do the trick. Therefore just try to accept it as much as you can. -

Nonduality means: this implies that Up implies down. Good implies bad Here implies there Let's take "up implies down" as an example: what is "down"? Not up. What is "up"? Not down. Or "good" and "bad". How do you know what is good unless you also know what is bad? Both constitute each others' existence. The moment you say "this is good" you are implying that something else must be bad. You define "this" in terms of "that" and vice versa. And this principle applies for absolutely everything in the universe. -

Very nice video. I never thought about reassurance, but I guess it's true - it is among the most important elements of a happy life. It's hope. I's connection, it's calmness, it's help, it's really what we want. I don't know how many of you live completely alone, but I do and this video got me thinking. It can be very difficult for me to reassure myself that things are alright and that I'm alright, too. Because there's no one around to do that for me and although I know that all authority comes from within me, it's nice to have someone around to guide you, or at least to remind you of the essential things on the way. After all, it is doubt that drives spirituality and the desire to find out the truth. So someone who doubts reality to very intense degrees must know how to reassure him/herself, otherwise one gets lost. What are your techniques? How do you deal with feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges? How do you reassure yourself?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ʻOumuamua Oumuamua is the first interstellar object passing through the solar system and because it's so weird, some people think this might be extraterrestrial technology. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXxcqpoNJKk Who knows what 2021 holds. Maybe we'll find out that we're not alone.

This is one of the most powerful movies I have ever seen. I couldn't find a thread where this movie was discussed, so... here it is. I also found it to be of great value for people who are transitioning from Orange to Green. The cruelty towards animals on our planet is absolutely beyond any possible verbal description. In a materialistic and rationalistic worldview that honors neither consciousness nor individual experience, we deny animals both. This leads to absolutely unimaginable amounts of suffering, created by our ignorance and unwillingness to see the world as a part of us, not apart from us. Although most people in the west seem to understand on a conceptual level that we human beings are also animals, we don't feel ourselves to be part of the great family of life on this planet. Our unrestrained rational intellect inflates our human hubris until we run amok - torturing, poisoning and killing billions upon billions of beings that we regard as inferior to us. Out of all the animals whom we deny consciousness - it is us, who have the least of it.

@StateOfMind Do you mean "can awakening be understood like one would understand thoughts?" Or how exactly? -

That's it! You can't control them. That's your ticket for being able to let go. And as I said, acceptance is the key. Because acceptance = letting go

@Vision You're the one who raises the problem. There's no problem at all. Everything is the way it is, and it doesn't matter what you think about it. The clouds stay white and grey, the birds will keep chirping, trees keep growing, people will come and go and everything simply is. Everything is the way it always was, whether you "understand" or not. And there's no problem at all. So don't worry, it's alright. If you get busy, I promise that you'll simply forget about solipsism without even trying to do so. And one day you'll say yourself "hm... there was no problem after all I guess." And you'll chuckle and keep doing whatever you were doing, just like the birds. -

By realizing that it doesn't serve you, at all. And furthermore, it makes no difference. Why would you hold on to something that isn't of any interest to you? Like the clouds being white; so what? Things are the way they are, why would anybody care about that? You're simply overthinking sh*t pal, there's really nothing to worry about, I promise You don't see me running around all worked up about that, I just don't care about it. And neither should you. -
Tim R replied to Vision's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
WHO CARES?! Screw it, what difference does it make?? You're like somebody who worries about the clouds being white, who gives a s*it? Yes, I am real. I'm sitting here at my desk in Germany and I'm trying to calm you down ffs, now if you would please get on with life and drop this whole thing? Of course from my perspective everyone is like in a dream, but why on earth would I care about it? It doesn't make the slightest difference, jesus -
Tim R replied to Vision's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Go do that. Drop everything that doesn't serve you and move on. Remember, you can come back whenever you want. There's no hurry in this work, it won't run away Life goes on regardless of whether you worry about the metaphysics of it or not. -
Tim R replied to Vision's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Vision That's because you care. You pay attention to it. Get busy, do something. The reason why solipsism drives you bananas is because you focus on it, that's it. It really is that simple. It's exactly the same like with paying attention to your blinking. Once you care about your blinking, you are hung up on it and you can't not see it anymore. Just don't care about it, get busy and you're mind will take care of it automatically.
