  1. There are two things in life that can be said: “This is so cool and groovy and fine,” or you can say, “Enough is enough. This ends with me.” (channeling my best inner Blake Lively here.)
  2. Criticism is, I put you down so I feel good about myself. Work on feeling better about yourself so you can correct the error without criticising the person. The former is seeking an ego boost while the latter is the behaviour of one with good self-esteem.
  3. The relative is my story: my attachment to it, my belief in it, my choice for it #abc When I withdraw meaning to my story, the relative is no more and the absolute is as it is. I need seek no meaning from this nor hold onto meaning from that.
  4. He is the kid in the candy store. You being triggered is your shadow not his. Let him explore his thoughts. He is sincere and well-meaning.
  5. Conversely, your sole problem is you are always looking to the next moment to be fulfilled: https://www.reddit.com/r/Meditation/comments/1k6sfkn/i_noticed_ive_been_waiting_to_live_and_it_hit/ Do everything perfect this very moment and then sleep well each night.
  6. This is the default reality for everyone: everything taking place in auto-pilot without any input needed from the person. It is the unconscious life. The fact you wrote so movingly about your dismay with this setup is the first step towards breaking its hold on you. You are not a person run by an egoic mind and you do not need to continue is this delusion. You are not the finite looking at the finite; you are the infinite looking from the finite to the finite papering over the infinite. Align with what you are in meditation and in every moment and thereby disidentify from what you are not. Why accept misery and why not embody joy?
  7. Lots of love, friend. Keep on shining the light. You are seen and valued.
  8. My truth is unrelated to the Truth. My truth is what makes me feel a good decent honest integrous person. The Truth is innocence. It's impossible to be bad. Stupid and mad definitely but I never knew any better. Once I figure out the Truth, I will start seeing everyone around me like that; namely God is all around me - which is the method that enables me to embody my true nature. To go from truth to Truth requires the end of me. All are me now. To live Truth is love.

  10. Mind thinks that it does, rightly or wrongly so. Spiritual work is to shift from I am doing to I witness doing. This is one step towards realizing one's true nature as awareness not consciousness. For me everything that mind does is illogical and incomprehensible. It's powerless though addicted. Oneself is not just mind as one can witness mind and so burn it up. It takes practice for most and time apparently. To begin, one has to see decisively that here is misery notwithstanding what socials and mutuals will say.
  11. In the UK we have a word for normalising corruption, it is called bunging or to bung. If you bung someone, you slip them a sum so the task is carried out without fuss or without red-tape or without delay or without question. People have turned this bribe-dynamic into an art-form such that it is admired widely. Amazing and ingenious how they turned this around so that corruption is celebrated.
  12. I either grow my bank account or help at the soup kitchen.
  13. Experience is what you call consciousness. It appears as the body seeing a world and you are conscious of the world, to varying degrees. But here’s the issue: this is suffering, and, as you can well attest, you are stuck. At essence, your experience is awareness: yourself knowing yourself in sat-chit-ananda, eternally. You have never left this essence. You like to pretend to, for the sake of a little off-radar entertainment. Consciousness is fun but it has a cost. As far as this universe is concerned, consciousness ends. Awareness is the only game in time.
  14. Experience is rapid fire snap-shots of the absolute, experienced by the absolute. Me is looking upon I am. And I look on it and say, it is good, according to Genesis 1. God looks on itself by imagining falsely limiting itself and returns to true experience of itself by remembering itself.
  15. Most players are rapers. They court your no. A no is much respected and exciting than a yes. Your modesty is appreciated and the cue for him to up his game and his attention. Players never back off. Failure is unthinkable and in many cases has never happened. They seek challenge and disinterest. Yes is so boring.
  16. Stress is a mind deluded that it must serve sauce rather than source. Ease is self-prioritization self-care self-halt.
  17. Duality and non-duality are equivalent and equal: Duality is the Absolute gazing upon its Appearance. Non-duality is realizing the Absolute and its Appearance are identical. Duality and non-duality are held equally in the light of the Absolute - one appears unconsciously, the other remembers consciously. Yet only remembrance confirms the truth as ever changeless; dreaming meanwhile necessitates the belief in change.
  18. Mind does what mind does. You have no say. It's not you. You are wrong to identify as body mind. Meditation is sitting with true you. If something useful arises in false mind or if you're blessed true mind, interrupt the meditation and take the win. No harm for meditation to be stop start. That's life. Be flexible. Do your best. Often phone rings, I stop a minute. Then back to stillness.
  19. Ego quelling is only step one. This means now is nice. Now you need step 2. Now that fake you is dead, bring real you to the party.
  20. Every grain of sand contains not just the entire universe but the absolute reality. So how could two things be different? Ego paints stuff atop them to make them look different. You are always gazing on absolute reality whether you focus on one thing or everything. God is trying to get your attention but you prefer to marvel at the surface.
