Thanks for the support @Michael569 But the truth is that i'm still addicted. I agree with @Ananta that cold turkey is the only real way to go, just reducing the amount i smoke for me personally is like torture, i get very irritated etc. In those 2 weeks that i didn's smoke i didn't experienced that at all. As ananta said even one is bad enough and the worse that can happen is that you don't try again or you postpone it for a long time and this is what i see myself currently doing.

@Michael569 thanks for thinking that i made some progress but this is unfortunately not true because i fell back to smoking again but at least i learned some things and i know that it's possible and easier than every smoker believes. @Someone here the reason i recommended this book it's because it's like a positive brainwashing to unbrainwash yourself if that makes sense. It helps you to make a real commitment. The most important thing i learned is that quitting smoking using willpower is not the only way and there is actually another better way to quit. Using only your willpower you will feel miserable for not smoking for at least a long time. It's just a perspective change that allows you to see smoking for what it really is. I quitted for 2 weeks and that was a long time for me. What was amazing though was that it was easy and i wasn't miserable hard to believe i know but it's the truth. Other important things i learned is that smoking shouldn't be considered a habit but an addiction. Also i don't think that knowing how bad smoking is helped anyone, it just makes you want to smoke more. When i wasn't addicted anymore or at least i thought so, i drank enough beer and i believed i would enjoy one cigarette because now i'm not addicted anymore i kicked this at last! Yeah big mistake of course i knew what would happen. Even 1 makes you a smoker again. If you want to quit you need to make a forever commitment and keep it. Good luck to you and me and every smoker that wants to quit. Smoking takes away your health and energy among other things.

@dharm4 enter the void is a heavy movie.. Definitely not a fun one. I would add the first butterfly effect it shows that just one action could change the trajectory of your life Also blackmirror -
I mostly agree and its better to reread the best books you come across. But you can also highlight or take notes on the most important points and that can speed up the process. Still i think it's better to read alot than not too much because at least then you make sure that you don't lack the theory.

Learn as much as you can everyday but without sacrificing taking action on what you learn. Reading one book per week and implementing what i learn slowly and with a long term mindset seems to work for me. Also if an area of your life is seriously lacking maybe you are just lacking the right theory so find the best books about that topic and confirm if that's the issue or not.

There is no way that this doesn't destroy your health. And how do you deal with the smell. Raw liver has one of the worst smells there is. Is there any evidence that such a diet is actually healthy and sustainable? It sounds sick and disgusting to me. But you know i could be wrong. Could you show your evidence?

I thought it was impossible to quit smoking but then i read the book easy way to quit smoking from allen carr. I quited for two weeks. Then i smoked one cigarette and started again.. I am quitting again in two days. I really recommend you read this book if you haven't. It's really exactly what every smoker needs to read. Good luck!

Yup. It took only 5 times of shamanic breathing and a concious effort to feel the emotions as fully as i can and release them, as well growing the body awereness. My emotional state is transformed.

Tobacco yes and the good stuff occasionally. But that sounds like a good idea i really wonder what this feels like. I will definitely try it some day. It's hard to run every morning. I need to fix my sleep and be willing to go out in the cold and run! That's why your journal is inspiring man, because it's fucking hard!

This youtube channel and exercises are great! I tried it.. I went for a run at 5 in the morning. It's great! And with music is amazing. And i really didn't expect other people going for a run so early but i saw 3 other crazy people doing this. But i ruined my sleep schedule and started smoking again But it's something that i will do in the near future. Your journal is very inspiring keep it up!

@fridjonk cool. Do you cycle it? Do you take a break once in a while? Is water retention healthy? I remember taking cortison for example and gained 4 kg in 3 days and after i stopped i immediately lost them again.

@fridjonk does creatine help with weight gain?

The second one shows that there are also things you should probably avoid mastering ?

Good idea!

It happens to me sometimes after meditation. Trees look more vibrant and i look at the leafs and branches that are moving for several minutes. The same thing happens with birds or even with insects. Everything is more beautiful. -

@Vittorio it seems that you have your life handled, you have a solid foundation and you are in a good place to take the next step. What i will say maybe will sound wrong after all i have a long way to go to take the next step that means you have to decide if this is true or not. Maybe i'm completely wrong. You have to let go of your vision and see that it's meaningless in the grand scheme of things. If you are able to let go of everything even the good parts of your ego you will have more chances to break through. The tricky part is to continue working on your vision passionately after enlightment even if you know that ultimately it doesn't matter. -

@integral lol you haven't even read it. If you did you would see that the conclusion is that we are what we choose to be, carnivores or herbivores. This is exactly what you did you need your beliefs to be true. That's very green of you or whatever color you want petrol or pink or whatever. You guys are thinking with colors all the time but if you filter everything all the time through this model you end up just feeling superior, "you are green i'm yellow therefore you are wrong" . -

This is what convinced me to go vegan before. As i said i don't eat completely vegan anymore. I'm just dropping it here in case someone passionate meat eater like i was want to watch it. -

Well you can't be certain and you shouldn't be. Everybody just take a position and makes it part of their identity and then they must defend themselves. -

Because of a social gathering where there was bbq involved and i decided to eat meat, after 6 months of no consumption of animal products, to see what it's like and after alot of social pressure of course. Chicken was the only meat that tasted good to me. Because of a health condition i started eating fish maybe once per week and 2 eggs per week because there are supposed to be helpful for me specifically. I have friends that really strive on a completely vegan diet also with serious health conditions. The main reasons i decided to go vegan at that time were ethical ones and health (after learning that i have a chronic conditition i wanted to clean my diet). The amount of garbage food i eliminated from my diet since then it's amazing. I definetely saw a difference in my well being after stopping eating all animal foods. Why do i sometimes eat chicken you ask? I don't need to eat it but i can't completely let go of the amazing taste. Other than that it seems that chicken works well with me and i feel better after eating it. I believe that it would be impossible for me to kill that chicken if it wasn't necessary. I think that is ethically wrong to kill that chicken or pretend that it never happened when i just buy it but on the other hand health is my top value even if i lived unhealthy for many years. If it means that i will be healthier i will eat chicken more often. But it's just wrong to just ignore the killing of the chicken when you can't do it yourself. I don't criticise anyone for their food choices. I just want somebody to raise and kill this animal and just sell it to me in order for me to not have to ever think about this. But exactly there is the problem, 99% of people that eat meat don't ever think about the process that led this piece of meat to land on their plates. And when they learn about it and the problems it causes maybe they'll even become vegan. Btw when i was 5 i saw my grandpa slaughtering many chickens and sheep so i knew from a young age how its traditionally done. -
